Path to the strongest in One Punch Man

This might be hard to believe but, this isn't my first life.

It all started in my first life. I was born with a golden spoon in my mouth, but unlike how many see it, this was not a blessing. As said 'with great power comes great responsibility', well in my case its with great power comes great expectations.

I was born into a family of politicians, expecting to follow the family tradition. I was expected to get perfect grades and socialize with pretentious assholes.

But I had a dream of my own. I wanted to be the strongest. I've always had an inclination to fighting if on TV or real life. As I went to a private school my classmates had massive egos and were easily provoked. But after a while this got boring, they had no physical prowess or technique.

Technically neither did I but I always worked out and tried to imitate techniques I saw whilst watching UFC.

This all occurred during primary school. Resulting in my continued suspensions and being outcast from my family. Not that I cared much, I always knew that I was nothing but a thing to them. They never saw me or any of my siblings as actual human beings.

But surprisingly I was the only one that didn't care for their approval. This repeated cycle continued on until I joined secondary school where I finally got to work toward my dream if only a little.

I could finally join a club involving martial arts. My school had many clubs with many skilled instructors, but not many involved fighting or martial arts. There were the standard Kick Boxing and karate and a couple others but the one that stood out most to me was Muay Thai.

Muay Thai is a combat sport that uses stand-up striking, sweeps, and various clinching techniques. And it's also known as one of the deadliest martial arts. Another reason I picked it is it's known that, if compatible and with the right teacher, progress In Muay Thai takes half the time of other martial arts.

And I had faith in my talent and the teachers at this prestigious school.

The training was intense and I was for the first time in my life enjoying my self. I'm no masochist, but the feeling of pushing your limits and the ache in your muscles made me feel alive.

The instructor gave instructions and insights into techniques and workouts to do to improve your physique, but the amount of training I did was on my own accord.

No teacher at a prestigious school would push there pupils like I pushed my self. And it paid of, every tounament I entered I won. Making a name for myself In the martial arts scene. Well as much of a name as a twelve year old could.

My life was simingly going well for the next few years. My family left me alone. Seeing me as a lost cause and disappointment, not like I cared, and my domination in the sport I loved was clear and my strength was growing rapidly thanks to puberty. But it all came crashing down.

My last tournament before I entered college was coming up and I was walking home from practice, as my parents let me be the price was not support except the obvious food and shelter. Which they only gave me to not cause a scandal.

As I crossed the street with my headphones on blasting music, a car came zooming down the road. You'd think when they saw me they would stop or try to swerve but no, they just kept coming and I was none the wiser to my miserable fate.

Turns out the driver had a heartattach behing the wheel. And in a twist of fate ended up hitting me.

As I was flung through the air and the car crashed into a lamppost, causing a massive booming sound. People in there houses, curious at the commotion outside looked out their windows spotting a car bending around a lamppost with a middle aged man bleeding profusely and unconscious in the drivers seat. Another person, seemingly a teenager, was lying on the floor also bleeding with many broken bones obvious. The surprising thing was that he was still breathing, as seen from his chest rising and falling.

Many people scrambled to call an ambulance to try and save me, but looking back I wish they didn't. The ambulance arrived just in time to save my life, but the driver was dead even before the crash.

And that's how I ended up feeling complete and utter despair. I continued living, but I wish I died.

The consequences of this accident, I was completely paralysed from the waste down. And I was back to being powerless. All my effort seeming in vain.
