3 Part- II: Night Changes

Last night was great, while thinking of it... a sudden thought came into my mind. Just a night, but it can change a lot of things... can't it? Yes it does, in fact it's possible that last night was the last day of someone in the world. Anything is possible, this thought's maybe too deep to realise but on the other hand, it helped me.

Guess what? I think it's gonna be the perfect song- 'Night Changes' by 1D (One Direction). It's one of my favourite bands of all time. So it's now fixed that I'm gonna perform, Happy Birthday and Night Changes for Evan' B-day party. As we discussed about everything, we set it that we're gonna do the party at evening and the whole day we're gonna hangout together with Evan and then surprise him with a party. That's a great plan isn't it?

Actually this song means a lot of things, the thought by which I selected this song for the party is that...just yesterday Evan was a 16 year old and just in one night? He's a 17 year old boy. I've been with him from childhood when we all were in our 7 or 8 years maybe and now, seeing everyone change physically and kind of mentally too makes me want to play this song. Because in reality everything changes, personalities, status, people etc etc but memories and the past are only thing that doesn't change, it's the only thing that stays the same. It's always with us in our hearts. So enough with the deep talks or I'm gonna hear sobs everywhere! He he. So we're now off to the shopping mall cuz we're gonna catch up with Evan there. I'm thinking as he likes collecting different watches so I'm gonna present him a Rolex watch and some other things as well. We went off to the car.

[ Time skip ]

We're now at the mall, it was such an annoying ride as there were so much traffic out there and yeah terrible experience. All of us made a specific point to meet up after buying the presents and then we're gonna call him to be here. I went off to the Gucci store first, I'm actually totally into Gucci a lot and I like it you know. I brought the Gucci Pour Homme II for his as I use it too, it has a really interesting scent to be honest. Then I went to the clothing section and brought jacket, shoes, tie etc essentials. I know he likes these stuffs a lot as me. Finally I went to the Rolex watch store and started searching for a watch that's gonna match with the suit. Not much after I found a brownish and silver toned one, which looks just perfect with the suit so I bought it too. As it was meant to be a present I said to the cashier to wrap it neatly with the brown customised wrapper.

'Just perfect' I said to myself as I look as the wrappings of the presents which are meant for Evan. Soon I found myself at the point where we all are supposed to meet up. Only Alan & Mei's here. Looks like they've also got their gifts which are meant for Evan. I proceeded to walk close to them but suddenly I felt the vibration of my phone. It's a call from dad, well that's strange because dad never calls except when it's really urgent otherwise he texts first. I answered the call.

" Hello dad, do have something important to tell? Because you know I'm off with my friends since it's Evan's birthday." I said to my dad in the call. But when he replied...

" Son I know your having your time with friends but... it's an urgent case this time..I want you to meet me soon in my office. I explain it back there. I'll end the call now, take care." dad said on the other line as he seems worried and anxious.

'What did just happen?...oh god I hope everything's gonna be alright.' I said to myself as I sighed deeply.

" Hey Mia, when's gonna Evan come here?" I asked to her as I need to go to my dad as soon as possible. I don't wanna miss the party in the evening.

" Oh maybe in a few hours? Have you brought your gifts for Evan?" she asked me while being curious. Alan was in a call.

" Yeah umm..is there any problem if I go somewhere for an hour? It's urgent." I told her in a low voice as I'm hoping everything's gonna be alright.

" Is that so? Yeah you can but make sure you come in time ok?" she said to me and I know she wanted to ask me more but didn't as I seem to be in a hurry.

" Thanks a lot Mi, I'll make sure of it! See ya" I shouted as I ran to the exit.

" Take care, drive safe!" she said loudly enough me to hear. I turned back and waved a bye at her. I saw Alan staring at me and Mei cluelessly. I'll let him know after I come I guess.

I got in a taxi and drove all the way to my dad's office. He's the owner there.

I walked off to the elevator quick...and a man got off from it, leaving me alone in it.

After getting up to the highest level, I found myself standing infront of my dad's room. I had to inform that I'm here to meet my father with the manager and I got the permission from my dad soon.

" Dad can you break the ice already? You know I'm in a hurry..." I told him worriedly as the curiousness killing me inside. I really didn't wanted to hear the words I heard from him...

" Son you're going to Japan soon, you're gonna complete your college degree there and stay until I tell you to come. I didn't mean to do this but I've got no other choice.. I'm sorry" he said me with sadness written all over him face and turned his back away from me as he said me sorry, probably hiding his tears...

" But dad...why so suddenly?" I asked him trying my best not to show emotion that'll will break me and him both.

" I'm sorry but I can't tell you everything right now, but I'll tell you soon when it's the right time. I promise." he said me now facing me again. The question why? Breaks me..but I know it's not time for me to be standing here breaking and go to the mall again and see my friends and even if it's the last b-day party I'm gonna attend with them, I'm gonna make it the most memorable one. I bid my goodbye to my dad and hurried off to the elevator and I bumped with someone, we both fell and it's a girl...I hope she didn't hurt that much. I fell on her so I aside myself so that she won't hurt more.

" Oh my gosh I'm terribly sorry! Are you okay? I shouldn't seen where I'm goi-" I stopped talking as soon as my eyes fell on her.. short brown hair with hazel eyes, pale skin, she's wearing a short white & black dress. Wait? Am I checking her out?? Wtf Jade...she's gonna think you're a pervert, well you are but!! Ah never mind.

" Oh it's totally okay, I also should've looked where I'm going. Yeah I'm okay don't worry." she said while while giggling . I helped her getting up giving a hand. Omg she sounds so cute and angelic even her hand's seems so soft. Ahh what's wrong with me today? I'm being so soft, well maybe I'm being on my charming side today. Two sided Gemini personality you know. She's wearing a white mask while I'm wearing a black one. So I can't see this angle who's standing in front of me tidying herself's face completely. But I feel like she's really pretty and cute. She seemed in a hurry so she bowed to me and bid a goodbye which I returned as well. Woah I should be more careful next time. Bumping with girls isn't a good thing. Oh shit it's been an hour and a half, I've to hurry.

On the way back to the mall where I'm gonna meet all of them, my mind is occupied by that girl with whom I bumped with back there. I have no idea why but a part of me is wishing to see her once without the mask. But unfortunately I'm not gonna be here anymore. If that's the case then I hope that she'll not cross my mind anymore. I'm not like this always seriously and I know it. I mean I felt like I could stare into those hazel orbs for hours and won't be tired at all...for minute I thought I literally got stuck in it..life's too cruel sometimes. Mostly for people like me who're actually cold hearted.

I closed my eyes and leaned on the seat in a comfortable position and tried to clear my mind off.

[ Time Skip ]

Soon as I reached the mall, I quickly went to the specific place where I'm gonna meet them. After I got there, I wondered if Evan's here already. But I didn't see him anywhere near, so I assumed that he's not here still. Ahh I'm relieved or I would've been scolded by Mei. Well she's understanding so maybe not? Nevermind I should just go near them. I didn't told them anything about going to Japan. I just told them that it was an urgent call from dad. I don't want them to be worried for me, I'll tell them when it's the right time or...they won't let me go anywhere. They love me a lot, I love them too as we all know each other from childhood. They're like my brothers and sisters. I can never forget those moments I spent with them. I wonder what will happen to those smiles if I go somewhere really far from them? How will I be fine without them? All alone again? Just like I was when mom died, only father was there but I felt like loneliness was killing me deep inside.

" Earth to Jadie?" said Terra.

" Oh yea.." I said coming back to my senses.

" Are you okay, Jade? You've been zoning out from when you came here." asked Mia worriedly.

" Yeah I'm fine, don't worry." I answered her with a reassuring smile. I hope she buys it.

" Oh okay then, I'll not force you tell now but if you wanna share then we're always here you know." she worriedly said to me but which others nodded. I gave them a smile.

After some minutes we saw Ken with Evan. We all hugged him one by one and wished him a very happy birthday. Then we all went to the apartment but we blind folded him before entering the door, which made it a surprise. Then we brought the cake and made him blow it afterwards, got thing he actually loved all of our presents and he even got a little emotional, aww we all have him a group hug as we cleaned his crying mess, really this guy's still a kiddo ha ha. After that I done the birthday song as well, we all sang together this time unlike yesterday.

We all partied hard and enjoyed ourselves and together we made this day another memorable one for us. Even if it's the last time, maybe it's the best one.

Now, it's getting really late, Ken, Terra and Alan's already asleep on the floor and couch while others are tiding everything and I'm at the balcony seeing the night sky. The sky's comparatively clear tonight. I wonder how is it in Japan?

While looking at the sky, that scenario played in my head when that girl bumped with me. It felt like electricity flowed through her hand. So soft and comfy to hold. Short hair and... those hazel eyes that can be the death of me. Woah woah, I shouldn't think those things, probably she's not single, I mean... a girl like her can't be single. Duh. I'm such a fool. That's why it's needed to be cold hearted sometimes. Looking at the sky I saw a perk of light touched my eyes, so my left eye shut close immediately and in a blink I saw a meteor falling. And then it vanished, it seemed like it'll make someone's wish come true tonight. Well I hope it does, that someone might be lucky. I should get going it's late.

' A very good night to myself ' I told to myself and not soon after I fell completely asleep.
