(Lyra's POV)
The soft glow of dawn was just beginning to paint the sky as I stood outside the small cabin Lucian and I had been sharing since our return to the Crescent Moon Pack. My heart pounded in my chest, a mix of guilt and anticipation making my palms sweat. I knew what I had to do, but that didn't make it any easier.
Taking a deep breath, I pushed open the door. Lucian was already awake, his green eyes finding mine immediately. He must have sensed my turmoil through our bond.
"Lyra?" he asked, his voice laced with concern. "What's wrong?"
I moved to sit beside him on the bed, my hands twisting nervously in my lap. "Lucian, we need to talk. About... about Asher."
His body tensed, but he nodded for me to continue. I swallowed hard, forcing the words out.
"I... I think I'm falling for him again," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. "Being back here, seeing him with Aiden... it's stirred up feelings I thought were long buried."
