Melee, long-range, and surprise attacks were orchestrated to strike almost simultaneously—a situation that would leave an average person in a state of panic.

However, just as the three distinct attacks neared him, Bai Ye made his move. He stepped across the sea surface as if it were solid ground, his expression indifferent. He watched the attacks from the three 'blazing angels,' then drew the Ryūjin Jakka. Though there were no dancing flames, the sheer force of his current Reiatsu attached to the sword was undeniable. The oppressive sword pressure made the space in front of Bai Ye feel as though it were mired in quicksand—exceedingly dense. The ferocious slash entering this realm of Reiatsu came to a halt, visibly stopping as the Reiatsu collapsed under the immense pressure.

The attack was not yet over. The Slash Wave, carrying terrifying Reiatsu, flew straight towards the Seraph in front. Suddenly, the body of the airborne 'Seraphim' appeared frozen, as if subjected to an immense gravitational force, and crashed into the deck below, creating a sizeable pit.

At the same time, the 'Jinbei'-shaped Seraphim rushing from behind attempted a melee attack, aiming to wrest the Ryūjin Jakka from Bai Ye's grasp. "It seems that the World government has made a lot of preparations for this operation," Bai Ye observed, recognizing the adversary's intent without showing the slightest change in his demeanor. Even as incoming light attacks and maneuvers from behind approached, he did not forget to pay attention to the real target, the 'Seraphim' after the Ryūjin Jakka.

Bai Ye raised his right hand, his muscles tensed, and he put his strength into a turning punch that landed squarely on the 'Seraphim' targeting the Ryūjin Jakka. The clash of his human fist against the mechanical body of the 'Seraphim' produced a resounding "Bang-!" The 'Seraphim,' like a shot cannonball, was propelled away violently. The impact caused so much suffering to the pirates onboard that they vomited blood and died, unable to withstand the Reiatsu. With a 'boom-!' sound, the entire pirate ship turned into debris scattered across the sea.

Even without wielding the Ryūjin Jakka, Bai Ye's physical prowess was incomparable to the mechanized bodies of the Seraphim.

Bai Ye's figure loomed like an unfathomable mountain, expanding in the 'Seraphim's' pupils. Suddenly, sparks and splashing electricity emanated from Seraph's body. Subjected to the concentrated Reiatsu which could abruptly change the atmospheric pressure, 'Seraphim' collapsed to the ground.

"Impossible...!" the sight of the World Government's latest research on the 'Seraphim' yielding such results, shocked the technology researchers stationed at the rear of the fleet. This was the Second Generation pacifist 'Seraphim,' costing several times more than the first generation equivalent to a warship, with combat power nearing that of a Shichibukai. Although it was still in the untested stage, freshly completed, it was not expected to be this weak.

"The first phase of the 'Devil Slaughter Project' seems to have failed. The likelihood of capturing that weapon is not high," mused Kong Kong on the warship led by the World Government. Seeing the 'Seraphim' struggle to stand up but failing, disappointment and coldness flashed in his eyes. "I miscalculated. Experimental products are just that, experimental. They haven't even forced out the enemy's true strength, who the World Government really needs to combat. It's not enough to replace the Shichibukai..."

While saying this, an aura emanated from Kong Kong as he took out another Den Den Mushi. "Contact the recovery force, and relay the information back to the World Government. Inform the Five Elders to wait for further news from here!" he ordered.

"Yes, Fleet Admiral Kong!" came the Den Den Mushi's response. Kong Kong then ended the call. Watching the failure of 'Seraphim' did not elicit much reaction from him. As commander-in-chief of the World Government's forces, he viewed the 'Seraphim's' deployment as more of a test of the current experimental stage's combat capability, and secondly as a warning to the Shichibukai that they could be replaced at any time by the World Government.

Anticipating the potential for the Seraphim to grow uncontrollable, Kong Kong still decided to dispatch a unit of untested 'Seraphim.' This decision underscored his absolute confidence in his own abilities. Should the 'Seraphim' indeed become uncontrollable, he would personally take down the renegade machines. That was the extent of it.

Furthermore, the World Government was poised to take a more direct hand in matters. They were confident of victory in this extermination operation. If neither of the two Admiral-level fighters could prevail, the World Government was ready to deploy three, four, or even five if necessary. They knew that what wasn't lacking on the vast seas were 'folk monsters.'

Within just three days, the World Government recruited ten candidates, each with combat power close to or matching that of a Marine Admiral. This was one of Kong Kong's greatest assurances in undertaking a personal mission to destroy Bai Ye. Ten folk monsters, banded together with his own might, would ensure victory.
