SUICIDE

A woman with long hair was standing in front of the large glass window of an apartment unit. The dark brown irises seemed to sweep across the beautiful city light that stretched as far as the eye could see. She was not enjoying the view that spoiled the eyes, but was lamenting her painful fate. Clear liquid was constantly flowing down her cheeks.

Destroyed not without reason. Since one week ago, the storm of heartbreak has hit body and soul. Pushing her into the deepest pit of misery. A sliver of hope has been snatched from the heart, as if she lost her sanity and decided to give up from this mortal world.

Her hand gripped the few pills that had been taken out of a medicine bottle in a hurry. However, doubt instantly invaded her heart. Either downing all those pills, or stepping foot in the air. Allowing the earth to welcome her fragile and lifeless body, since knowing the truth about loved ones.

Yes, that pain is what hell she is currently experiencing, to the point that her heart and mind are no longer able to accept. The highest level of pain, namely loving each other and breathing the same air, but not being able to unite. So, why did God entrust this feeling that has been able to make her lose0i mind? Why did the universe plan a meeting if they would eventually be separated?

"If indeed I can't have it, isn't that the same as living, but not being alive?" The woman whispered as she walked through the side door to the balcony of the room.

Gray clouds dotted the horizon, as if condolences for the disappointment that the woman was feeling. She took a deep breath and then exhaled heavily. Staring blankly at the bottom of the building, imagining that she might feel free when plunged down there.

It doesn't matter how many people will feel sad about losing her. The reality was too bitter and painful for her to feel. Why does God give such a beautiful feeling, but also the reality that destroys all? Was she so bad that she had to face such a cruel fate?

She looked back at the few pills in her hand. She was determined to end a life that seemed as if it would no longer mean anything to her.

"Stop it, Gabby!"

Just about to launch the action, the baritone voice made the woman gasp until a few pills slipped out of her hand.

"You don't go crazy!" Shouted the man who was still standing in the doorway.

Slowly the man began to approach the woman who was staring at him blankly. However, Gabby immediately dispelled him with a scream. "Stop! Don't come any closer!"

"Gabby, please . . . don't do that."

The man's voice lowered, giving him a pitiful look. He didn't even dare to move, because he didn't want to see a loved one do something stupid.

"No! Why am I living, if we can't have each other?" Gabby refused to care, while tears continued to roll down her cheeks.

"No, Gabby. It's not the end." The man shook his head and was still trying to persuade Gabby not to do anything rash.

"Give me one reason, why I have to stay alive!" Gabby stammered a little, without moving her feet one bit from where they were.

"Not just one. Many, Gabby. There are so many reasons that you need to stay. Me, Mom and Dad. We love you so much. Would you have the heart to see us saddened to lose you?" the man explained, occasionally shifting his feet forward, trying to slowly approach Gabby.

"No, Gerry! If they love me, why did they destroy me like this. Destroyed all our dreams? I hate them. I hate it!!" Gabby screamed, letting out all her anger.

"I know, this hurts a lot, but please ... stop, don't do something stupid like that."

The man's defenses collapsed until he could no longer hold back the tears that had been pushing him to let out. Now he was really at his weakest point. It's not an easy thing to try to stay strong, in the midst of a wound that in fact is still gaping. However, unfortunately he still had to survive, for the sake of the person he really loved.

"I love you, Gabby—"

"For what? It's useless, that's not what I want, Gerry! I just want us to live together, have each other completely!" She concluded with eyes that didn't stop leaking clear fluid. "All of this is too painful for me. Why is reality so cruel to us, why?"

Slack. Gabby's body fell to the floor. With lips still quivering, she sobbed even more lamenting the bad luck that had brought her to the pit of pain.

Not wanting to lose the opportunity, the man named Gerry immediately ran, providing the most comfortable support for Gabby. let the woman cry in his arms. Until slowly the sobbing sound weakened.

"Sometimes, the destiny is not what we expect. But believe me that there will be good things behind everything we are facing right now," said Gerry as he gently stroked the top of Gabby's head.

Garry stretched his arms and cupped Gabby's cheeks, staring at the brown beads that were still covered in tears. Messy and puffy, that's what he caught on the face of the woman in front of him.

"We are both hurt, but this is not the end." Gerry's voice was a little heavy, as if to show that he was also struggling with all of that. "There are many things that we can do together, even though in different bonds." He added, still with a sad and serious look.

"Trust me, we'll get through this for sure." A forced smile appeared on Gerry's face, though it seemed difficult to do so. "Stop crying." He begged, wiping Gabby's tears with one hand. However, the woman remained unmoved, not responding to anything.

Gerry lifted Gabby up to her feet, then led her to sit on the bed. He gave that smile again to the figure who still didn't want to end her sobs, even though in a low voice.

"Wait a minute, I'll get you some water." He whispered again, brushing the tears off Gabby's cheeks, before she decided to leave.

The man then got up, then walked towards the bedroom door which was still wide open since his arrival there. However, his steps suddenly stopped when the sound of shattering a hard object like glass echoed through the room.

He turned around and was surprised to find Gabby's left hand covered in blood. Broken porcelain flower vases were scattered everywhere.

"Gabby!"

Gerry shouted as he ran over to Gabby who seemed to be wincing in pain, because of the intentional incision in her vein.

Her jaw arched, forming a satisfied smile. Now the pain in her wrist had overcome the pain in her heart. Instantly her head felt heavy. The woman blinked repeatedly to maintain consciousness. However, soon her eyes closed, before Gerry managed to do first aid. Her body collapsed again until she lay on the bed in a weak and helpless state.

"Gabby, wake up!" Gerry shouted as he embraced Gabby's body while crying profusely.
