A New Town And New Beginnings

My name is Shen. A new town equals new beginnings right? well, I hope so. I get dressed as my grogginess starts to get a hold of me. I get out of my room and head of the grand stairs. The stairs are crafted with a golden design that glitters in the light of the chandelier bounces off of it. The light almost blinds me but I get down the stairs without missing a step, brushing my hand on the rail as I glide down. My mother appears with an inquisitive look on her face.

"Have you been studying all night again?"

"I have, mother." I walk past mother and into the dinning hall just in time to see the butlers serving dad some eggs and a Henryl steak. Henryl are creature's that have Long tusks in there mouths that can be 4 inches long. They have spines that run down there back that are poisonous. The spines are a width of 3 inches while a length of 6 inches. if used correctly, they can be made into pretty good weapons by guild standards.

"May I have what father is having?"

"Why certainly master." The head maid Shila is one that worked with my family for years. My parents trust her with almost all duties as well as training new staff at home. I honestly think of her as my sister sometimes. Too bad that I have no siblings to interact with. Honestly, anything would beat just playing piano in my room all day.

"Here is your food sir." Shila brings me my food on a silver platter and bows as she leaves to attend to her other duties. I inhale my food and leave for the door. I finally can explore this new town!
