Chapter 1 — New Dice and Life

Inside a dark place, where many people can be seen, a young man stood on a stage, holding a big white dice. A bright light was covering the man whole body.

The man threw the big white dice into the air, as the dice flew through the air the spectator watch it curiously.

The dice fell on the smooth, ground of the stage and rolled.

A few seconds later, the dice stop rolling as a loud voice reverbrated across the whole dark place.

"Six!"

"The fall of the dice is number six! Give this person a big applause!"

As this voice resounded, among the crowd was a youth who was rubbing his aching temple.

' Uh..? '

' Where am I..? '

' What is this place..? '

The youth questioned to himself, as he looked around at this unfamilliar place.

He then asked toward a person that was closed toward him.

"Excuse me, where are we..?"

"What's going on in this place?"

The person he had asked, turn his head toward him in confusion and replied shortly afterward.

"Do you... have no idea?"

The youth nodded his head.

"You are already dead. This place is sorta the afterlife and you must cast a dice to be reborn."

"What!?"

The youth eyes widen in shock after hearing what the person said.

"I will now tell you all the result!"

"Participant No.153, who had gotten six after rolling the dice, will be reborn either as a rich man or a popular idol in his next life!"

The crowds hearing this gave the man a loud applause with their eyes in envy.

"Is our next life determined by rolling the dice..?"

The youth rub his chin as he pondered after hearing the voice, who he assumed to be maybe the mastermind or the god.

As he was pondering, the man he had asked handed him a large dice.

"It's your turn now. Make sure to roll a good one."

The man said, with a light smile on his face. He then added.

"After all, this dice will determined your next life fate."

Gulp...

Hearing what the man said, he had gulped down unconsciously due to nervousness

"Next participant!"

At the stage, the youth stood there as beads sweat appeard on his face.

He took a deep breath and with a serious face, threw the large dice.

'...God, Buddha! I hope you bless me with luck!"

The youth stared nervously at the large dice rolling at the ground. He gripped his hands tightly.

Gulp!

The dice stop rolling and stayed at the place, seeing what he got his eyes widen in disbelief.

"One! The number of the dot in the dice is one!"

The voice sounded through the air, all who heard this let out a sigh.

"What a badluck of him to get a one..."

"..How unlucky of him.."

They whispered with each other, looking at the youth.

The youth who heard their whisper felt a ominous feeling growing inside his heart.

"The result has come!"

"This life won't be easy for you, but cheer up!"

"No.. way..."

The youth tool a step backward, as disbelief flashes across his face.

"Now enter the 'Gate of Reincarnation'!"

The voice said, as the youth was thrown toward a gate like portal.

The youth who was threw out the gate was almost in despair.

As he was about to become despair, determination filled his eyes.

"Even if I had just gotten one, I will not let a mere dice determined my life and future! It swear on my entire being!"

'Warm and so comfortable..'

The youth who had just swear to himself earlier. He felt extremely comfortable and cozy as warm liquid covered him.

'But.. where am I..?'

The youth tried to move, but even slightly moving consume a lot of his stamina, he also felt quite tight in the place he was at.

But then a strong force of suction, coming from below made him alarmed.

Without even any slight of resistance, he was suck in and went through a tight hole like thing.

After getting of the tight hole thing, he felt a burning sensation from his chest.

"Bwaa!"

He let out a ear-piercing cry due to the burning sensation in his chest. His eyes was blinded by a bright light.

The youth heard noises, but he can't hear it clearly.

Then gradually he felt his eyes adjusting to the bright light.

Soon he can clearly see his surrounding and what he first saw was a black-haired woman who was just a bit beautiful than average and a white ceiling.

The woman had light smile across her face and uttered softly as she rub his head.

"My sweetie... your name is Dongtae.."

As the youth—! No, Dongtae now, heard what the woman said, he quickly realized he was reborn as a baby.

'But.... I wonder why my memories was not erased..?'
