Yuki entered homeroom and headed straight back to his desk. He could feel the students in his class casting weird looks at him.
Some were filled with admiration, some were filled with pity, some filled with doubt.
Yuki didn't understand the reason for these looks at all, but he didn't bother to ask.
Yuki drifted off to sleep as soon as he reached his desk. He felt somewhat exhausted, and yet so content.
With his hidden inner turmoil resolved, Yuki felt peace with himself.
In his sleep, Yuki missed the conversation the class was having about him.
"Are you sure that's him?"
"I didn't think Takahashi-kun was so talented!"
"Do you think it's his own song?"
...
The class bubbled in conversation as they looked at the sleeping Yuki. They never would have imagined that Yuki was so talented.
Yukana looked at the sleeping Yuki in a daze. Her thoughts were a mess as she thought about the few rumours already spreading about him.
Many thought that there was a new handsome boy at school. Now that the few girls that knew about him thought that he was seemingly heartbroken, they thought that they had the chance to bag themselves a talented boyfriend.
Apart from her class, not many others knew that this was Yuki. Even if they knew, they might not believe it. His change was too quick for them to adapt to.
Yukana thought about the quiet boy who would shyly respond to her greetings. She couldn't see and trace of him in Yuki anymore.
Perhaps because Yuki felt someone staring at him, he opened his eyes to see Yukana staring at him.
Their eyes locked as Yuki's face of bewilderment changed to a smile, "Hey, Yame-san."
Yukana felt her heart racing as she was dazed by Yuki's smile. For some reason, Yukana felt as if this smile was the best smile she had seen from Yuki.
It felt sincere, as if he was genuinely happy to see her.
A healthy red spread across her face as she quickly looked down. She didn't dare look at his face any longer.
She felt like she might fall in love with him if she stared at him any longer.
Yukana shook her head and asked, "Are you okay?"
Although Yuki was confused by her question, he still responded with a smile brighter than ever.
"I'm the happiest I've ever been!"
It was as if time stopped for Yukana. The surroundings blurred as she looked at Yuki's smile.
It was the first time she had felt like this. Yuki's smile had firmly imprinted itself in her mind.
(A\N: Correct me if I'm wrong but Junichi was Yukana's first boyfriend, right?)
"I-I see." Yukana stammered as she turned away. She could feel her cheeks heating up and her heart racing.
She cast Yuki a glance before shaking her head. She couldn't believe the thoughts that had entered her mind.
Yuki watched as Yukana's expressions changed. Even though he had a clue about what was happening, he didn't believe it.
Or rather, he didn't want to believe it.
As he shifted his gaze, a screen popped up on his screen.
[Skill [Charm] gained: (Lv:1\10)]
[Skill [Charm] has levelled up]
[Charm (Lv:2\10)]
Yuki was a bit surprised as he looked at the screen. The skill [Charm] should be similar to his [Seduction] skill.
'Perhaps [Charm] is a passive skill while [Seduction] is an active skill?'
Yuki thought about it for a while before he gave up. His status board didn't give him any skill descriptions.
Yuki shifted his attention to something else. His earlier surprise wasn't due to gaining a new skill.
It was due to his newly gained skill levelling up.
Normally newly gained skills only levelled up due to his past life experience.
This skill levelled up like his [Meditation] skill.
'Maybe it was close to levelling up? But when did I...?' Yuki couldn't figure out when he practised charming someone.
A thought entered his mind as he turned back to the blushing Yukana.
"How cute." Yuki said with a grin.
Yukana looked at Yuki only away again. Although she was used to compliments, she couldn't bring herself to say respond this time.
Her face turned a shade redder as she lowered her head even further.
Yuki laughed as he watched her. He didn't think a girl who dressed as a gyaru could be so shy.
(A\N: If you don't know what a gyaru is, I'm disappointed)
The bell went off, signalling the start of the next lesson.
At that moment, Yuki couldn't help but think that the bell was always working against him.
As the next teacher walked in, Yuki couldn't help but think of the number of anime worlds that were mixed into this world.
Thinking about how he had never noticed this before left Yuki confused.
"Where was I yesterday?"
Domestic Girlfriend or Oregairu?
