28: That black thing!

SAM's POV

"Why don't you try this one, Samantha?"

I frowned as I looked at the red cloth in his hand, confused what it was.

It was already four in the afternoon at katatapos lang naming maglibot around the hotel. And now, we're in a boutique just right beside the hotel, choosing some clothes with my mind still lingered to that bastard.

'..I could do something you'd never want to happen. Something like devouring you, Ms. Javier. Devouring you until you'd cum...'

When those words echoed through my head again, I quickly shrugged those thoughts off my system. Because everytime I'd thought about, it sent chills down to my spine and I don't like that!

"I'm sure as hell this one would make Cameron drop his jaw once he'd saw you with this!" Mason added, causing me to be more curious kung anong tinutukoy nito.

With furrowed brows, I took the piece of cloth from his hand saka tiningnan ito.

"Ano ba'to to----holy shit!" I exclaimed the moment I saw that hideous thing as my eyes widened in shock.

"A red bikini." He said as if giving me a trivia that only him knows.

The hell with this man!

I quickly throw the bikini back to his way na dali-dali naman nitong sinalo while chuckling.

"Though making Del fuero literally drop his jaw was an interesting thing to see, thanks but no thanks, Captain! Akala mo naman magsusuot ako ng ganyan kalaswang damit that could freeze me from cold and would surely get me into trouble." I hissed with a shook in my head, giving him a look of distaste.

"Trouble? What do you mean?" Maang na tanong nya with brows creases in confusion.

"Trouble with men giving me a dirty look."

The moment I uttered that, he suddenly bursts out into laughter, causing the other people to look at our way with interest in their prying eyes.

With that, I quickly elbowed him on his side dahilan para mapaigik ito at tumigil sa katatawa.

"Shiit! I didn't know you can do such evil thing to your friend!"he hissed while nursing his side.

"So now you know..." I stated with a roll of my eyes before I left him and headed to the next rack with decent clothes displayed on it, eager to change into a pair of fresh clothes now.

I need to change it now or else Mr. Del fuero won't let me lend his damn couch later tonight.

And I should never buy a sexy clothes dahil ayoko ng maulit pa ang nangyari kanina.

That damn awkward moment. I thought he wasn't interested in women at all. Akala ko lang papa 'yon!

With a shook of my head, I quickly picked up some clothes na tingin ko hindi masyadong malaswa at mas lalong hindi masyadong mahal. Just enough for the remaining days na pag-stay namin dito.

And then I was just about to pick up some overlarge coat when I felt my hair at the back of my neck stood up.

That weird feeling of being watched.

Quickly, I turned to my right but found no one. I scanned the people around me with hawk eyes, hoping to catch that someone who were shamefully staring at me.

A few women in their early 40's were at the far right corner of the store malapit sa may counter as the cashier busy punching with the items at the computer.

And when my cautious gaze moved to the entrance of the place, I spotted Mason instead who was shamefully flirting with the two blondes in bikinis na parang di alintana ang lumalamig na panahon.

Smirking, I continued checking the place.

A woman with his man just choosing some bikinis at the undergarments section like what the other people around doing.

No one seems suspicious. Everyone seems so indulged with their own world.

Napailing-iling na lamang ako as I let out a frustrated sigh.

Well maybe, I'm just overreacting and paranoid right now. kept thinking I was being watch by someone with an intention to kill me habang nandito ako.

This is Canada after all and there was no way na susundan nila ako hanggang dito.

Shrugging, ipinagpatuloy ko na lang ang pagpili ng mga damit and after I chose a dark coat, dumiretso na agad ako sa may undergarment section.

Red, white, cream, black---- T-back.. Shit!

I cursed out the moment I took a close look at the underwear na nasa display na dadamputin ko na sana expecting it was the one I was looking for. Isang T-back pala!

But me being a curious cat, dying to know what it really look like in actual. Dinampot ko parin ang bagay na yon and then stretched it's strings sa harapan ko while giving it a disgusting look.

I wonder kung bakit gustong-gusto ng iba ang magsuot ng ganito. I doubt this could even fully cover their pearls.

Hindi naman kaya matatanggal ang strings nito if I ever try to use it in yoga session?

I try to stretch it out again and nodded in satisfaction when it does stretch well. A good quality it is.

Oh yes. Maganda nga ang quality nito but heeeck! 65 dollars just for this piece of strings?? No thanks.

I quickly throw it back to its pile, feeling burnt with it just looking at the price tag saka dumampot uli ng ilang murang black underwears and then headed to the next rack for some jacket.

I made sure to pick up some thick jacket for the cold temperature around and then quickly headed to the counter saka agad ng binayaran 'yon.

After my payment, I hastily looked around for Mason and found him still flirting with the two blondies at the exit. He was obviously enjoying their company.

Tsk, tsk...I think Del Fuero was indeed right. His friend was indeed an ultimate playboy kaya naman pala kahit mabigat sa loob nito to even offer his couch and floor, he still did just to stop me from going with his friend.

I slowly nodded with agreement at that thought and was about to approach the captain with shopping bags in hand but stopped.

I suddenly stopped when my mind realized what I've just stupidly thought.

..just to stop me from going with his friend...

I frowned when that words echoed in my head.

And why did he do it by the way? That was his chance para mapaalis ako so why did he do it?  Is it because I am his pretend secretary and he was acting his part as the kind employer or he was just trying to keep me away from his friend?

..'Something like devouring you, Ms. Javier...'

When I thought about it again, my hand unconsciously hold my chest as the abnormal beating in my chest came back.

Shit. Ba't ko ba nararamdaman 'to? This weird feelings inside me. The same feelings na naramdaman ko back at the accident more than a decade ago.

Napahigpit na lamang ang hawak ko sa mga dala-dala kong shopping bags at sa dibdib ko while tightly gritting my teeth.

Just thinking about it made my mind ache as if I'm trying to solve a puzzle that no one could ever answer at kahit alam ko ang sagot, ayoko.

This isn't right! Everything just wasn't right. And I don't like this feeling I ----

"Samantha!"

"What?!" Tarantang naisagot ko na lang bigla kay Mason when he suddenly called me out, freaking the hell out of me.

I hadn't even noticed him coming to my way. 

"Wooh! Easy, easy there, Samantha my friend!" Mason muttered while holding both his hands up as a sign of his surrender, probably because of my sudden reaction.

Kahit na gusto kong humingi ng depensa rito for reacting that way, I stopped myself and just calm myself instead.

Just calm down, Sam. This was just nothing. You're just tired sa kalalakad at hinihingal ka lang that's why your chest kept pounding weirdly like it was in a riot right now.

Yes. Yes. Just that.

I agreed while mentally nodding, as if trying to convince myself na ganun lang 'yon and everything will be fine later.

I sucked a deep breath then squared my shoulder.

"Nabili mo na ba lahat ng kailangan mo? What about your bikini and dress for tonight??"

The weird pounding in my chest suddenly forgotten when he said that as my brows instantly creases, confused with what he was spouting about.

"For tonight?"

"Ahuh. For tonight." He agreed with a nod. "We have party to attend later tonight kaya naman you need a dress for that. Wait, you have forgot about it, don't you??"

Very..

I wanted to answer that but since he had exerted an effort to tour me around this place, it would be unfair for him if I decline his invitation.

"It totally slipped my mind, I'm sorry."

"It's okay. Maaga pa naman. Just wear any of your comfortable dress and I'll pick you up later at 7pm. Ako ng bahala sa'yo." He confidently said with a wink.

I just nodded at him, not in a mood to talk, still trying to reign the weird feeling inside me.

"Good. Okay, I think we have to go now and instead of going to the beach, kakain muna tayo. I know you haven't had anything since we've landed this morning."

At the mention of that, my stomach suddenly growled, embarrassing me, making him to chuckle sabay hablot sa mga dala ko.

"A meal it is! Lets go now." Then again, he chuckled as he started to walk towards the exit.

I just shook my head while smirking, quite amused with him saka sumunod rito.

Parang hindi naman delikado ang taong 'to like what that del fuero had painted him to be. Praning lang siguro ang gagong 'yon. I think Mason has indeed true to his words na nagbago na ito------

I halted whatever thoughts I have in mind when he flirtily winked at the same blondes na kausap nito kanina sa may exit.

Tsk, tsk.. Changed man he said? Scratch that! I think that would be impossible for him. Once a playboy, always a playboy after all.

Smirking while observing the captain, I continued walking, following his lead back to the hotel.

The sun started to hide its glory in the west. I looked around the beach and found a few people doing the same, heading back to the hotel.

Liam's hotel was obviously famous for tourists here. Dahil bukod sa magandang hotel at services nito, the pristine white beach behind was worth a gold for a sight.

Inhaling the salty air, I continued walking without looking at my way. Just staring at the sea as it started to get wild like what I was feeling right now, a hint that it will rain soon.

"Mason, I dont think tutuloy pa tayo mamaya dahil uulan yata mamayang----oomf!" I suddenly cried out when I bumped into some hard body.

Good thing I was quick enough to stop my fall dahil kung hindi, my poor butt would've receive another injury.

Shit! Ba't naman kasi tatayo-tayo kung saan saan lang ang----

I stopped and frowned when I looked at that someone and found Mason's back just stiffly stood there like a frozen pole. Ni hindi man lang ako kinumusta if I was even okay or dying!

Not so like him! I wonder what makes this idiot suddenly react this way.

"Mason, may problema ba?" I asked but no answer came from him.

Frowning, I came to his side and found his shocked face habang nakatitig lang sa malayo, as if he had seen a ghost appeared from his past.

Following his gaze out of curiosity, my brows furrowed when I fortunately saw a woman in a gray kneelength coat sa may di kalayuan, smiling down sweetly at the ponytailed girl in a pink sweater who were giggling while picking up some stone from the ground. The woman was no doubt a Filipina just looking closely at her features. Her black raven hair was tied in a loose bun as her white skin glimmered against the blinding sun rays of the sun setting up in the west.

Her eyes was bright as she lovingly gazed at the little girl now picking up a starfish.

"Look mom! I found a star! A star!" The girl happily exclaimed saka patakbong lumapit sa mom nito and proudly showed the star to her mom with her face glowed in amazement.

"A starfish. Very good baby.. Finally nakahanap ka rin." She answered with a motherly smile as she bent down on her knees and checked the thing na nasa kamay ng bata.

The two were a perfect picture for a loving family, lalo na siguro if the father was around.

I can't help but smile at the picture. Amazed with them.

I wonder kung bakit titig na titig sa kanila si Mason. Probably kilala nito ang dalawa and she was his ex-girlfriend at hindi maganda ang paghihiwalay ng dalawa.

Hmm. Mukha nga.

I agreed with my mind, nodding while still staring at the two.

The woman must've felt na may nakatitig sa kanila so she turned to our way with a smile still plastered in her face. But the moment her eyes focused on our way, lalo na sa katabi ko, her smile suddenly gone in a second as recognition flickered in her eyes.

My brow instantly arched up at her sudden reaction saka curious na lumingon sa katabi ko and found him with a weird look in his face and with pursed lips.

There's really something with these two. It was no doubt na kilala nga nila ang isa't-isa with their weird reactions and a deep scowl he was making right now.

"You know her." I stated while nodding with understanding habang nakatingin lang sa babae and then back to the captain.

"No."

Again, my brow shot up nang sabihin nya 'yon, firm and with...hatred?

That pique my curiosity more, wanted to know what's their story behind.

Hmmm... Now this was getting more interesting..

After the woman had recovered from her shock, fear instantly appeared in her eyes saka agad na hinawakan ang kamay ng bata and then carried her in her arms saka mabilis ng umalis, heading back to the same hotel we were checking in.

"Tsk, tsk... Mason, wag mong ikaila, i know kilala mo ang babaeng-----" i stopped nang paglingon ko sa tabi ko, Mason was unfortunately nowhere to be found.

Nasaan na kaya ang taong 'yon---that idiot! I cursed out when I saw him now a few meters away from me briskly walking away from the hotel's direction.

Gods. I wonder what happened to him for him to react this way.

Shaking my head, I quickly ran after him with a knowing smirk in my mouth.

"Captain! Wait me up! I'm coming with you!" I playfully shouted while trying to keep up with his meter-long and heavy steps.

Chismis, chismis, here I come!!

CAMERON's POV

"Liam, kept a close surveillance at my company no matter what. Alam mo namang mga ilang araw pa'ko rito before I'd complete my business here with the project. I'm---"

"Yeah. Yeah. I know your counting on me kaya naman ginagawa ko ng maayos ang pinagagawa mo sa'kin kahit na wala na'kong oras to go out and party with sexy women."

My lips thinned in line when he suddenly cut me off and insert his uninteresting story. Kasalukuyan ko itong kausap ngayon in a phone while heading out of the hotel building, planning to go out and just senselessly drive around to ease my mind.

The air around was now getting more cold as the night was coming. Good thing I had wore a thick brown coat and a black scarf around my neck. Tamang-tama sa panahon ngayon...

"By the way, where's the lovely Samantha?? Ba't hindi man lang niya sinasagot ang phone niya? Kanina pa'ko tawag ng tawag sa kanya."

I groaned when I was suddenly reminded with that woman and what happened earlier.

Again, her half naked image flashed through my head. Causing my raging want to touch her returned.

Oh hell!

"Will you stop mentioning her, Liam?   I don't know where she was right now and I don't care kung nasaan man sila ngayon pumunta. Just ask her yourself----"

"Sila?? You mean she's with someone right now? Who is it, Cam? Tell me now.... Ba't mo ba hinayaang samahan ng kung sinu-sino lang si Samantha when you yourself----"

"Mason. She's with Mason, idiot. Kaya 'wag mo na 'kong kulitin about that woman. I didn't call you to talk about her but to remind you na wag na wag mong---"

"Her aunt kept calling your office, Cam. Kaya naman gusto ko siyang makausap ngayon."

My brows suddenly creases when I heard that, surprised to know she still have family with her.

I thought she had nothing left in her family after that.... Oh yeah. Why am I even thinking about her life history now? Wala akong pakialam kung anumang meron sa buhay niya.

It's her own life and not mine to deal with.

"Just tell her aunt to stop dirturbing my office at kung pwede, call Ms. Javier herself at hindi 'yong ako ang kinukulit mo about it. I am not her babysitter at mas lalong hindi ko problema if her aunt couldn't reach her darn stubborn niece!"

I heard him sighed on the other line.

"Okay, okay. I got it, sir. .." He answered with sarcasms in his voice.

"Just tell Samantha to call her aunt as soon as possible dahil nag-aalala na 'yon sa kanya with her sudden disappearance."

A sigh of annoyance escaped from me saka padabog na lumabas ng hotel building.

"The hell I'd tell her that. Just tell her yourself. Maybe that woman----"

Bigla nalang akong napatigil when my eyes caught something--no. I mean 'someone' with familiar tigress persona with her face showing an obvious distaste while kept stretching something in her hand. Something like.....

My brows suddenly narrowed at the black thing she was holding and my eyes widened in utter horror as recognition hit me!

"An underwear?!"

"Anong underwear 'yang pinagsasabi mo diyan, Cam? Are you having sex right now habang nakikipag-usap sa'kin ngayon???! Oh my Gross! I think I needed one too!"

I quickly growled when the idiot commented that with exaggeration then chuckled out.

"I am not doing or planning to do such useless thing Liam! You know I didn't came here for that!" Then without bidding a goodbye, I ended the call then slid my phone back to my pocket as my eyes focused back to her. She was still dissecting the poor innocent thing under her scrutiny, as if it was her first time seeing such thing.

The boutique was surrounded with glasswalls kaya naman kitang-kita mula rito ang anumang kalokohan na ginagawa nito.

Napailing-iling na lamang ako while amusingly watched her stupid acts.

I think she was out of her mind. Sa lahat ba naman ng pagtitripan nito, she had really chosen to play with that underwear.

I smirked when her eyes suddenly widened then throw the poor thing back to the rack like she had seen a shocking details in it.

Probably its dollar price.

For a while, I just stood there habang nagmamasid lang rito while she was seriously picking up a few dark clothes like she was just shopping at her own closet, not even having an intent na isukat 'yon.

I wonder kung nasan na ang kasama nito ngayon.

Nang maisipan 'yon, My gaze moved around the store to search for my idiotic friend and unfortunately, I've spotted him flirting with the two blondiea.

As expected. A man-whore that he was.

Napailing-iling na naman uli ako as I clucked my tongue in disapproval.

Mason was just an inch shorter than me with a physique that any woman would die for to touch it, and add to the fact that the idiot was insanely rich as his family owned a few airlines, no doubt magkakandarapa rito ang mga babae just to have a taste of his fortune.

Good thing the idiot was careful enough to wrap his own dick very well dahil kung hindi, he would've a few dozens of children with him now from all of his women.

Smirking with the thought, akma na sana akong aalis to head towards my car but I halted nang may mahagip ang mga mata ko.

A few meter away from the counter, A man in black shades and a cap kept staring at.....I tried to follow his eyes kung saan nakatuon ang tingin nito and found it directed at her.

At Ms. Javier na ngayon ay kasalukuyang nagbabayad sa may counter, oblivious with the people around her.

Don't tell me the trouble had followed her hanggang dito?

With cautious eyes, My gaze shifted back to the man who were now pretending to choose some coat.

Suspicious. The man was.

Alarmed with it, I took a step papasok sa loob ng boutique na'yon.

I have to make sure kung anong meron sa taong 'to. We never know---

I paused when that thought took in my head.

Wait. At ba't ko naman kailangang malaman kung anumang meron sa taong 'yon when he wasn't after with me anyway? Why waste my time for her kung pwede namang hindi na?

My mind agreed at that saka dumiretso na sa nakaparadang kotse but before I drove off, I sent her a last look and found her now chatting with Mason.

Well, she had Mason with her so I think he can handle it well if there's any trouble would come to her way. Now I'm free from getting troubled dahil lang sa mga kalokohan niya.

With that in mind, agad na'kong umalis and drove off to where I had planned to visit.
