His large hand grabbed onto her tiny arm, pulled her in towards him. She lost balance for a short second, but as she was about to fall into his arms, she kept herself together and not slip. His tug had a morsel force to it, when he pulled her in, she let out a minor moan, "Ah!"
Everyone heard the loud shouts, turning heads to watch as they became more curious, then as they all heard the three words coming from their President Yang's mouth, "I like you!" they became startled by the catching rings attached to his masculine voice. Yang Tian-Xu stared deep into Wang Yi-An's eyes for a second longer, still he kept his grip onto her arm, tight.
Nobody could possibility understand his suffering, his long waits at the coffee shop. Two weeks he waited for a chance to meet her again. It felt like the first-time he saw her, only this time his heart beats faster, almost like his heart could jump out of his chest. Dreams of her night after night, like an impulse remembered by his body after a constant repeat. He acted on the impulse.
At first, Yang Tian-Xu disregarded the crowd stares, and he looked straight into her eyes. Her eyes reflection stared back at him. Yang Tian-Xu thought how piercing her eyes appears to be, like it stared straight into his soul, mesmerised by them. It embarrassed him after he realised what he had done.
"I like you to operate under my supervision instead of Mr Han." a quick recovery from an embarrassing confession.
"Oh, it's just work," The crowd heard his speech and return their focus and attention elsewhere.
He thought it was an excellent save. Not wanting to appear as a creep or some perverts, he created this excuse. He would need to thank the Lord later, but now he needs to make sure she stays by his side.
"But, President Yang, we have already assigned her as my intern. Along with those other two." confused, Mr Han wasn't sure if he had received the correct schedule, so he rechecks it on his cell phone. He was always the one in charge of young interns why the change now? When had this regulation changed? Assistant Tseng was just as confused as Mr Han.
Assistant Tseng eyes widen, he opened his cell phone to check and recheck his schedule, "President Yang, you signed and approved to have Miss Wang as Mr Han's intern, your signature is right here." he pointed to the electronic signature on his phone screen.
"I know that, but having three interns under one supervisor might be stressful for Mr Han. It's better to have a one-on-one mentorship instead."
They stood there in silence as they listen to President Yang speak. Although, it's all bullshit lies, made up on an impulse to cover his sudden confusion. They stood still and nodded, "Oh, that made sense." Mr Han nodded his head and agreed with the new arrangement.
"Okay, so who do I get as my intern? Now I can put all of focus and teaching on this one special person." Mr Han was excited as he rubs his hands together. At first, he felt overwhelmed, because of him becoming older, but he still believed he could handle three interns, now that there's a new arrangement he no need to worry about it as much.
Thanks to the new arrangement of program, no longer would he worry about the heaps of work; or him being a sloppy teacher. Only one intern to guide and focus on, it's a much better arrangement for him, he prefers it that way.
A quick conclusion made at such short notice; with two Art Directors in the M&A department of the seventh floor. Mr Han, and Mrs Wong, he assigns them each a new intern. He assigns Liang Shing, the male intern to Mr Han. Afterwards he assigned Kwon Li-Mei as Mrs Wong's intern.
He told Mr Han to bring the female intern to Mrs Wong in her office and tell her about his sudden change in the internship program, and as for Wang Yi-An, she would work under his supervision.
Well, not his exactly, but he said he would 'assign' her as Mr Huan's intern, once he return from his vacation two months from now. However, Wang Yi-An's internship only lasted three months, so she would be Yang Tian-Xu's intern for the first two months, and then he'll hand her over to Mr Huan for her last month as an intern. Only if he'll be willing.
"This way we can allow the interns to receive more hands-on experiences, and they can become more productive."
Yang Tian-Xu truly fit to be the President. He wasn't the president because he was the chairman's grandson. No, Yang Tian-Xu is the company's president because of his natural endowments.
A strong ability to have; being able to cook up a random excuse out of thin air. The most amazing part was that everyone buys it. The employees and interns all believed, he was paying attention to their demands and benefits.
"Thank you very much, President Yang!" Wang Yi-An said as she bows her head low to him. For the first time she smiled at him, as she raised her head upward, looking at him. "I will treasure this opportunity and do my best!"
"Dear Lord," Yang Tian-Xu thought to himself, "How can you be so wonderful, but cruel to me?" His heart ached again as she smiled at him. He turned about and said out loud. "Okay, follow me. I shall show you the office and explain to you my expectation."
"When did Boss thought of the idea? Just now? My God he is a genius." Assistant Tseng was left speechless, filled with admiration as he questioned himself silently in his head. Assistant Tseng blinked his eyes and followed along behind them.
Yang Tian-Xu wanted to walk side by side with Wang Yi-An, during the walk, he asked her many questions. "What was your name?" He remembered her name. He saw the intern list and saw her name. But he wanted to ask so he could hear her answer and introduce herself to him.
"My name is Wang Yi-An, people like to call me An-An as my nickname." She responded to him as she walked on his left side.
Yang Tian-Xu thought she has an adorable name. "An-An…" He thought to himself; he desires to call her by her nickname so he could feel closer to her. "Miss Wang, may I call you An-An, would you mind?"
"Sure. I don't mind." What she replied was straightforward and down to earth. Her response made him feel happy deep down. Still, he should keep his emotion under control. He doesn't want to frighten her or make her uncomfortable.
A heartache expression appeared on Assistant Tseng's face, as he thought to himself, "Boss, you never call me Kuan-Kuan and I'd known you for a long time! Years! Years!" It was usual for Assistant Tseng to feel that way.
The first time he met Yang Tian-Xu and worked for him as the assistant, he too mentions that people like to call him by his nickname. Nevertheless, Yang Tian-Xu told him how unprofessional it is for the president to call his assistant by a nickname.
Yet, it is all right for the president to call an intern by their nickname? But not him? "Boss, how could you be playing favourites already?" Assistant Tseng screamed in his mind. Unfortunately, he'll never be able to show his enmity towards the unfair treatment.
As Wang Yi-An, Assistant Tseng, and President Yang walked left Mr Han's department; Mr Han and the two interns stood still, caught by surprised as they watched them disappearing into another department.
Kwon Li-Mei said with jealousy in her tone, "An-An is so lucky, she gets President Yang as her mentor! Unbelievable! This is so unfair!"
Mr Han laughed "Or unlucky," he proceeded, "That guy became President because of his own ability, not because of his family background. Not only was he rigorous and exacting. If you could not give him perfection, then you might as well wish you were fermenting for the devil."
Kwon Li-Mei and Liang Shing break a sweat and thought, "Oh, An-An. You poor thing."
"Anyway!" Mr Han said as he snaps them to reality, "I will conduct you to Mrs Wong. She is just as strict as President Yang. Thus, no need to be jealous." Mr Han gave out a subtle laugh, they turn the corner down the hallway, walking as he said, "Let's go, let's go."
At first, Kwon Li-Mei was relieved about how strict President Yang was and was no longer jealous of Wang Yi-An. Now, she fell from being lucky, to unlucky in a short three second moment. Mr Han words brings chills to her spine.
The lucky one today was Liang Shing, his mentor is one of the best Art Director in the country, who had won countless awards. Mrs Wong was also really successful; in fact, she was one of Mr Han's student. Mr Han knew her so well, and every body knew her to be just as strict as Yang Tian-Xu.
The three went to Mrs Wong's office, and Mr Han filled her in about the changes. Mrs Wong looked displeased, solely because President Yang created the sudden decision without notifying her, yet she couldn't pronounce or do anything and have to suck-it-up as a mentor.
Mr Han and Liang Shing left, and before Liang Shing left, he smiled at Kwon Li-Mei and said mockingly, "Good luck!"
