The Mating Period (Self Defense)

Jody woke awake after hearing the noise. She could hear the voice in her mind singing as if it were happy. Jody opened her eyes and saw Liza still dancing while holding her dress. She spins around and smiles as if she is happy while Jody is watching her. That was the first time Jody had seen Liza so delighted. Liza stopped dancing when she saw her looking.

"Are you awake yet?" Liza said shyly as she quickly folded up the dress she was holding.

"What's going on? Why are you so happy?" Jody asked with surprise.

Liza quickly went up to Jody. She sat down on her bed and looked at Jody with a smile.

"Today is the first day of mating season," Liza said.

"O-okay..." Jody said. She didn't understand why she was happy during the mating season. Jody got up. "Zev, is he awake?"
