The servants bolted through the door as the phone call finishes – this may be the only time I’d want to ask my father for help. If I continue like this, I’d only be digging my own grave.

Griselda might have gone ballistic at this point – I reckon she planned to deprive us of any servants in the house. I would move around and do those things if I could walk, but I can’t. I’d only be bothering Walter further if I let him do all the work.

I could see the servant’s gloomy and almost angered expressions – they were hiding the dislike they feel for being assigned here.

I saw one of the cooks push Walter aside – taking over whatever he was cooking at that moment. I frown and was about to lecture them when I remembered Griselda’s ploys.

I approach Walter, “I know this may seem a bit sudden – but we need to ignore their childish plays as much as possible.”

Walter smiled and nodded, “I understand, I’ll do as you say, wife.”
