The past

Crowd of students were filling the corridor of the University. All of them were wearing a terrified face. Kimmy went running through the crowd. Then she saw her uncle, he was lifeless and his head was full of blood.

"U-uncle" She muttered as her eyes were already wet in tears. Her knees collapse to the floor. Her uncle was the only relative she got close with because her parents were very strict.

A girl tap Kimmy's shoulder.

"Kimmy, there's nothing you can do." she whispered to her ears, but Kimmy shook her head.

"Kimmy, please."

PRESENT

Kimmy open her eyes. She have slept on her desk, her eyes were wet, she felt tired. She always dreamed about her uncle and it's very sad to remember it again. Kimmy checked her phone. It was already nine in the evening, she had not come home yet. She was still at the hospital. She stared at the window, trying to empty her mind. It's hard to forget what's in the past.

Suddenly, her phone receives a call. She answered it, rubbing her tired eyes.

" Yes, I'm coming home mom." she answered her mom.

Kimmy packed her things and go down through the carpark of the hospital.

Richard sat down on the sofa beside his wife. He offered her a cup of tea. Helena thanked her husband as she took the cup.

" Still at the hospital?" said Richard.

Helena nodded sadly.

" You Know our daughter, Richard. She's always staying at the hospital and go home late. I am worried about her. " She said, looking up at her husband.

" Don't worry too much, Helena, Kimmy can take care of herself and she's grown up. Anyway, I'm going to meet Mr. Chen tomorrow." said Richard, carelessly.

" I doubt him." said Helena, her expression darkened.

Richard rolled his eyes. They've been through this topic a hundred times. Helena always doubting Jeremy Chen from the start.

"Helena, stop doubting Jeremy, he's the one who gave Kimmy a scholarship when she's still studying medicine." He said, impatiently.

It was true, Mr. Jeremy Chen was the one who gave Kimmy a scholarship. Mr. Chen is an owner of University years ago 'till now. So, the Hansons always giving him a free check-up whenever he was going to the hospital. Helena was about to argue when they caught sight of Kimmy going upstairs.

"Good night, mom and dad." she greeted, then she stepped to their huge staircase and locked herself to her room.

Kimmy let her whole body collapses to the bed. She felt very tired at the moment. Kimmy closes her eyes and fell asleep.

"Kimmy!" Her uncle was calling her excitedly as she stepped out from the van.

"Uncle!, uncle!" Kimmy was running enthusiastically to her uncle.

"Kimmy, how's your school, darling?"

"Uncle, I was the highest at school!" said Kimmy, gleefully.

"That's my niece," said her uncle Alfred as he pat the seven years old Kimmy on the head. "smart as your parents."

"Kimmy?"

"Kimmy!"

"KIMMY!!"

Kimmy woke up with a start. She looks up and surprised to see her best friend sitting beside her on the bed.

"T-Tessa," muttered Kimmy.

Tessa Mitch is her only best friend. She's a doctor too, same as her. She was her best friend since high school.

Kimmy sat up and faces her best friend.

"Why are you here?" she asked, scratching her eyes.

"Well, it's weekend and I'm bored to stay in my house. So, how are you?" said Tessa.

"I'm fine. Always." said Kimmy.

Tessa raised her eyebrows as Kimmy said 'always'.

She knows her best friend very well, and she always know that she've never been fine since her beloved uncle died. She knows that Kimmy would rather be alone that's why she's ignoring all the hot boys that very interested in her and approached her. She have no interest to all the boys out there, she don't care about love. Kimmy only cares about love towards her family and best friend.

"Hey." Tessa nudged her.

" What?" replied Kimmy in a bored voice.

"You know, there's many boys likes you, why can't you stop ignoring them, and try to—"

"Tessa, I have no plan to date them, I don't care about them." Kimmy cut her words.

"Oh, Kimmy, how I wish I was you. I don't want to be single anymore." said Tessa, pouting her lips.

Kimmy rolled her eyes.
