Generally, characters in fan fiction had someone always there for them and found their purpose and strength in them. I always found that way of life foolish.

Who would want to depend on someone to find the meaning of life?

This is my opportunity.

Finally, I can have a life that is worth living.

My name is James, I am 17 years old and that short time alive showed me that humans are pointless beings in most cases. Will there ever be someone that represents the concept of 'living' to me?

Now I'm in a pure white room and sitting in front of me was a shockingly familiar person reading some papers on her desk.

"Hello, James" said the person with long blue hair, a thing that isn't normal in my world.

'My world?' yeah, I'm pretty sure that this is Konosuba and this was the chapter where Kazuma died and reincarnated in the other world.

How do I know this?

Well, let me tell you the story of my life.

I grew up in a single-parent family with my mother dying when I was 2 months old, it never affected me as I never knew her face and dad only told me tidbits of information about her.

Dad was working with an oil company so we were well-off, he had his job so I was watched by a nanny who lived with us.

Most of my childhood was spent alone with books being reading the only thing that I was allowed to do without being bothered, some say that reading a book about someone is like gaining a new perspective in life so by the time I began school I looked at things very different than kids my age.

Around that time, dad died but I could afford school and much much more thanks to all his work and insurance.

I certainly spent a good amount of my free time reading books, there was just something thrilling about reading the life of someone else. You could almost feel the things the characters were experiencing and that added the spice in my life I didn't know I wanted but I needed.

Now I lived what you could call a normal life, at least others would think so since I worked hard covering the glaring flaws that I discovered.

When I was a kid I discovered that I had sadistic tendencies, at that time no one said anything as they attributed my actions as the foolishness of a little kid. Little they knew that as I grew up those sadistic tendencies didn't diminish, they evolved instead.

As I was in class I would imagine different scenarios in my head where people around me died in different ways. I did this almost daily and it became a sort of a habit were my imagination always would surprise me.

This would continue until the point I began to lose any empathy towards other people, some noticed and tried to stay away but it was a rarity.

I learned to blend in society to others I was an introverted kid that had his little group of friends but in reality, it was all a facade.

I matured too fast, I started noticing that people at my surroundings seemed dumb or just couldn't think for themselves. In school, I scored just enough to not seem dumb but never at the top, which made me blend easier as humans in a position of superiority tend to look at others with 'sympathy'.

Near halfway through my education, I discovered my first anime 'Death Note', it instantly caught my attention. I watched the whole thing pretty fast and there was a thirst for more.

I kept watching anime until I graduated since then I started to lose interest in it as there wasn't a story that enraptured me.

One of those days I discovered my first fan fiction and since then all snowballed till I was beginning to have health problems. Another glaring flaw, as much as I didn't care for the life of anyone else it was in a point where I didn't even care about my own life.

The last moments of my life I was just a stupid kid that couldn't look after himself and just withered away in solitude.

"-ey, hey" a voice shook me off my thoughts, still a little dazzled I looked to the desk in front of me as it was her that required my attention.

"James I understand that you are still shocked by your death but hear me for a second, my proposition will surely interest you"

This is the start of a being that changed the meaning of life itself.
