Carl died right in front of Owen and Leia. In fact, they were so close to each other that his blood spilled in them. The feeling of cutting a snake and a human being like himself wasn't much different. Still, Kane only felt disgusted at that moment… In the end, that feeling made him hesitate in pulling back his spear.

However, he wasn't alone, Owen got up and tried to pick a wooden spear that was nearby, but Jacob charged at him and didn't let that happen. Meanwhile, Leia tried to get up, but she was stopped when Emma's arrow pierced her neck. While Leia was agonizing, Emma nocked another arrow, and this hit her heart. Emma sighed in relief but then noticed that Jacob was struggling.
