##Chapter 17 Reservation?

"Gosh. I gotta talk to him again. It's been long enough, and he just hung me up. That is not enough,"

Olga turned and tossed all night. Finally, she got to see the sun coming up again. She had to see Nathan.

"Huh?"

As Sharon opened her eyes, Nathan was gone again.

"Was he mad for all the blanket fight? Oh, come on.

It was him that started it, though," she thought.

The bathroom door swung open, and out came Nathan with nothing on other than a towel.

"Wh-what do you want?"

"What? I just took a shower, and now I'm getting dressed."

As he spoke, he dropped the towel. Within a flash, Sharon saw him in his full birthday suit. Boy, was he big.

She then screamed and hurriedly covered herself up with the blanket. She started to blush, and her heart started to race.

"Oh, come on. You're the one who saw my everything, and you're screaming high heavens."

"Scoundrel."

As they spoke, Nathan quickly got dressed. He then watched Sharon shiver under the blanket.

After a while, he added, "Alright, alright. I'm done. Now come out."

"For real?" she hesitated.

"Oh yeah. I was at a conference yesterday, and guess what? I saw that woman you talked to at the mall the other day."

That worked. Sharon tossed the blanket aside and sat up like an intrigued groundhog.

"For real? You mean... Renata."

Speaking of her, Sharon suddenly changed her expressions. She became cold and angry.

"Well, she's different already. She's the first lady of the Evans now,"

Sharon said with much anger.

That was her mother's property, and they stole it all.

It was her position, and they framed her out of it.

A whole family of rascals.

As she thought of what they had done to her, she started to shiver in anger. Nathan then sat beside her, feeling sorry for her.

"Don't punish yourself with what they had done. Remember your wish?"

Sharon then came back to her senses, staring blankly at Nathan.

"That was why I married you in the first place, wasn't it?

I sacrificed everything to make the Evans family pay for all this. I was to get everything back.

I was to make them go from having everything to owning nothing. They had to taste that just as well," Sharon thought.

"You said you'd help me. How?"

Sharon looked at him seriously. He was her ticket out of the darkness.

"I've got a plan coming up. All I need you to do is to work with me when the time comes,"

Nathan said so with full seriousness. She had no other choice but to believe him.

"Then be quick with it. I can't wait to see them go into dismay and pay for what they had done."

Nathan watched her, feeling sorry for what she had been through. What a shame that all these things had happened to her. As he watched her, she reminded him of his own past... He then decided to help her all he could.

"Don't worry. I got this."

Sharon had a hard time calming herself down. What had happened to her felt like stones.

Yet it was her sole motivation. It fueled her to push towards the day she could see them burn in hell.

"Nate."

As he got to his company, a voice came along. He knew it was her without looking back.

"What brought you here?"

Nathan looked at Olga coldly, as if she was just another one of his employees.

Olga, on the other hand, ran at him with a bright smile.

"It's been a while. I just want to talk to you. You know, about everything that happened recently."

Olga couldn't help feeling proud of herself. Nathan always welcomed her while being nonchalant to pretty much everyone else in the world. It could be a hint that he kind of liked her.

Nathan froze for a second, smiled, and said, "Look. I'm in the middle of something. I'll call you when I do get the time, alright?"

Olga looked at him and felt somewhat disappointed. Her bright smile faded away.

He was always special to her,

so she was supposed to understand him better.

"Alright. I'll get going, then."

"Be safe out there,"

Nathan said with a nod. He then marched into the building without looking back. Olga watched him go and let out a sigh.

"He's already good enough to me. I should at least comprehend him when he's in a tight spot. He is never kind to anyone else. I should at least be understanding,"

she thought as she got back to her car.

As for getting back what belonged to Sharon, he might have to start with her.

Nathan sat alone in the president's office, looking sullen. He left all the piled-up papers alone, thinking about how he was supposed to make his promise to Sharon come true.

"Hello. What can I do for you?"

A fine-looking well-dressed lady got to the front desk.

"Hi. I..." Renata hesitated for a second and looked at the receptionist straight in the eyes, "I'm looking for your boss."

Her words made herself blush. After all, such in-person cold-calling couldn't get more embarrassing.

"Got a reservation?"

"N-no, but... you can ask him yourself. I..."

"I'm sorry, miss, but we can't let you in without a reservation," the receptionist broke her off mid-sentence.

Renata then froze, not knowing what to say or do. She stood there like the impersonation of embarrassment.

"Yeah... I guess he sure is pretty busy. I'll get going."

She then fled out of the building and sped away.

[Craving anything for lunch?]

As Sharon occupied herself with housework, a message popped up.

She glanced at it, smiled, and combed her hair back.

[I'm cleaning things up. Are you coming back?]

Nathan smiled. He couldn't imagine what she would look like doing all the chores. She almost destroyed all his dishes in one trip to the sink, after all.

He hesitated and replied: [I'll cook.]

[Great. I want salmon.]

Sharon didn't even know since when did she start missing him. Maybe it was because she was bored, or maybe she was way too lonely in the big mansion. For some reason, she started to long for him to come back.
