CHAPTER- 9

I woke up next morning but to my surprise I was in my bedroom, I got up and kept my hands on my head as it was hurting too much.

then someone knocked on the door.

"come in",I said still holding my head.

"meera...gosh you are not ready yet?",veronica said coming in.

"are.....you serious?now get ready quickly everybody is waiting for you.!",she said standing at my door.

"sorry.....ss..aah..give me ten minutes, I'll get ready ",I got up and hissed in pain my whole body was feeling stiff and painful.

"ok....be quick we are waiting for you",she said and went out of the room.

I was bathing when suddenly all the water dripping over my head was turning red.

and I checked in mirror, I got a bad wound on my head .

I cleaned myself, dressed up and went downstairs.

"good morning ",I said as I entered the hall.

"morning.....",Ron said sitting on the dining table.

"meera .....you are late again!",fred said.

"sorry.....I ..overslept ",I said.

"Ok.....come have breakfast ",they said.

"Umm....I don't feel like eating, you guys have your breakfast ",I said and was going to leave when my mom called me.

"lovie wait!.....what is this ?food have been served it is not good to insult the food,atleast have something, look at yourself you have lost so much weight",she said.

"maa....please, I don't want to,and I will not die ,if I don't eat .",I said getting annoyed.

"seriously ,is this how you talk these days? have you forgotten all your manners and values. ",she said getting angry.

"maa.....not now please!",I said.

"why?.....you maybe a superstar for everybody else but you are still my daughter for me!if needed I can scold you and slap you if you do something wrong ",she said.

"I didn't meant that at all...what I wanted to say was I don't feel like eating right now ,I am somewhat stressed and tired of everything and sometimes I feel that I should quit everything and go somewhere ,where nobody can freaking find me.",I said without taking a break.

"what happened to you meera? I asked you when you came home last week is everything alright?

and you said yes everything is fine .you never ever share with me anything, what do you think if you will not tell me I will not understand anything? I've been noticing you since 5-6 years ,do you even remember when you came back here last time? 6 years ago. And after that even if you came back now it was for some work. you don't talk to anybody about anything, and keep everything to yourself what do you think you are trying to do? you don't socialise much,even every time you look like a disturbed person. ",

"mom...please yaar...it's enough ,it was just a matter of breakfast .I will eat it fine happy?",I said cutting her in between.

"I t is just not the matter of breakfast,ok you think I don't know anything about you ?I know everything it's just that I don't say it because I know you are already dealing with too much, and I don't want to disturb you and interfere in your life, You think I don't know what happened 2 months ago with you,or I don't know why you don't come back to India often.I know everything it is because of that guy right, he destroyed your life completely, even when he was here ,he was the biggest distraction in your life .and after he's gone he messed up your life completely. ",she said angrily.

"maaa...don't say anything now ,because you really aren't aware of some facts",I said

"I am not aware of some facts ,ok I have not been with you when you were abroad but Ron, Emily and all your friends were there with you right? then let me ask you Ron didn't she used to come back straight away if she received just one phone call from that person?",she asked looking at my friends

"aunty....",

"say it Ron, or Emily you tell me?was she like this before ",she asked Emily as Ron didn't say anything.

"answer is no,you were not like this before. look at yourself I don't think you are like my daughter anymore and it is all because of that bloody aniket!",she said.

"mom...don't do this please..not you please and he can never do something to harm me never ever. please he is not the one who harmed me but I thinkI am the one" then she again started without letting me finish myself.

"I've told you before and I am telling you now,Aniket was killed by some bandits so please stop blaming yourself for his death! and let me tell you ,you left the country just after that incident but after the police investigation it was found out that he was the part of militant group, he helped them in making illegal bombs, and even took contracts to murder people, and his people who were caught afterwards gave a clear statement that he got involved with you just because you were the daughter of Akash jai Singh. you remember those years your father was working on a big project, ",she said.

"mom...what are you saying?",I said tearing up.

"you remember or not ?",she asked angrily.

"yes ...I do so what?",I said getting frustrated.

"then you must remember that all his rivals wanted to take that project, so they attacked him and destroyed his office ",She said and looked at me.

"yes..",I said.

"do you know who was behind all this? it was aniket. and loving you and stuff was just a part of his plan ,he was acting all along and just wanted to be close with you so that he can get all the details he wanted, and you know what was your role in his plan you were the main plan meera you idiot",she yelled at me .

"mom please don't use some filthy reasons to frame him up,he is already dead can you not insult him like that?",I said crying and everybody else just stood there watching me and mom quarrel.

"bhabhi ji please let it go",maharaj ji said stopping my mom.

"you remember when you went on a road trip with him ,it was not just a road trip he called your father and asked him to transfer the project to his rivals otherwise he will kill you,even your phone was out of network at that time,you don't know how scared we were? your dad did everything possible to save you.",

"wait..wait wait You are trying to say that he kidnapped me and wanted to kill me ,no ma he was the one who saved me....he just....got shot..infront of my eyes and I just.....ran away from...there like a coward.....I left him alone like a bloody coward...I could have saved him,he died because he was protecting me....he died because of me...."I said and started crying badly.

"how many times do I have to remind you meera,It was not your fault if you wouldn't have escaped from there that day ,I would have lost you forever.do you get me",she said.

"maa...Why don't you understand me I am alive because of him but he is dead because of me ",I said crying.

"meera he didn't die because of you,his own partners killed him because of some disputes ",mom said.

"mom.....please stop lying, just to make me feel better you can't defame someone like that please I beg you",I said in anger.

"I am not lying, and the person you are defending deliberately and fighting for him with your own mom,do you even know him,completely?I was going to leave from there

but my mom said something to stop me.

"sorry?...",I said dumbfoundedly.

"police also found a video camera, while checking his place",she said.

"you remember that scandal, when paparazzi photoshopped your pictures with that actor.

it was done by him",mom said.

"you know what...I think Ron I am hallucinating again can you get me my medicines from my room,because even last night I had worst hallucinations I think it is all happening again. ",I said wiping away my tears.

"meera...you are not ",

"oh my God!are you all are really here or am I just imagining this shit no...no..no..no..no.it is not true,it is not true don't believe it it is not true .

I started screaming like an Lunatic and kept my hands on my ears and just kept repeating it.

"meera.....meera...look at me ,look at me everything is fine look " ,he said trying to hold my hand.

and I just kept moving backwards as he tried to approach me.

"n..n.no g..go away ,go away please go away",then I ran towards the front door grabbed the car keys and left from there.

and Ron and others tried to stop me but I didn't stop and started the car and went out .

"meera,meera stop don't go please meera",Ron was following my car as I made my exit through the haveli's door.

"oh no shit !we have to stop her,otherwise she will do something ",Ron said grabbing his hair in frustration.

"what do you mean she will do something, and Ron tell me honestly why was she saying that she was hallucinating what is going on?", meera's mom asked worriedly.

"aunt..... I don't have enough time to explain all this to you first let's just bring her back,otherwise something really bad will happen to her",he said panicking.

"where are the jeep's keys ?",he asked to meera's mom.

"here Ron beta",maharaj ji threw the keys towards Ron.

"don't worry aunt I will bring her back safely to you",ron said and was going to leave when joo-won stopped him .

"Ron,can I come with you?",joo-won asked.

"ok,let's go quickly ",he said

"Ron wait I am also coming with you",fred said.

then they left to search for meera..

meera was just driving crazily without paying attention to anyone and anything.

she just wanted to get rid of all this for once and forever.

she didn't even realised that she came very far away from the house.

( MEANWHILE)

"Fred have you traced meera's location?",Ron asked looking back through the mirror.

"I am trying to ,but it seems like there is a bad internet connection here",fred said checking his phone.

"shit.....!ron said

"ron don't worry we will find her.....we definitely will",joo-won said while driving.

"Ron...found her!",fred said.

"where is she.....?",Ron said turning back.

"she is somewhere near sisarma gram panchayat road .....don't know what is it?",fred said.

"doesn't matter just guide me....",joo-won said

"ok....turn right after 2 km....",fred said.

they were following meera's location ,and meera was just driving recklessly without knowing where she was going.

"are we going in a right direction??",Ron asked.

"yes...but where is she going she didn't stop anywhere....",fred said.

"God knows....meera just be safe",Ron said.

"Ron....but why was she saying that she was hallucinating?",fred asked .

and joo-won also looked at Ron curiously while driving.

"Umm.....there is a thing that you don't know ",Ron said .

"what is it...?",fred and joo-won asked in a unison.

"meera....actually she is a schizophrenic, she see some weird stuff which nobody else can rather than her",he said.

"what....?",they both said shocked as hell.

"and when did you planned to tell us about this...",fred asked Ron.

"I wanted to tell you ,but she asked me not to,also because when we found out situation was not this worse ",Ron said.

"sure,you both always do this....who are we(members) to ask you anyway ",fred said sarcastically.

"look I really wanted to tell you but....even we got to know about it,a month ago and we all were busy with collab and stuff ",Ron said.

"whatever it is,I just hope we find her quickly",joo-won said while driving.

"she stopped....",fred said.

"where....?",joo-won and Ron asked.

"somewhere near....a temple and dam",fred said.

"how far is it from here?", joo-won asked.

"somewhat 4km....",fred said.

"ok then sit tight ",he said while speeding up.

they reached the temple within 5 minutes.

"look meera's car....",fred said pointing towards the car parked beside the tree.

they walked towards the car .

"Ron call her ...",joo-won said.

"I did she is not picking up...",Ron said.

" don't ....I saw her phone in the car",fred said.

" shit ...",Ron exclaimed.

"let's split up and look for her separately ",joo-won suggested.

then they started looking for her everywhere.

"even I didn't saw her anywhere..",fred said .

"let's check near the dam...",joo-won said.

I was walking on the bridge when I suddenly saw meera sitting on a rock near the shore, under the bridge.

I ran towards her without wasting a minute.

."meera....",I screamed her name standing behind her.

as she turned behind and looked at me I felt ,like my world which was going to crash a moment ago met its saviour.

she stood up and came down from the rock ,her puffy eyes which already looked beautiful before were looking more beautiful today.

I ran towards her and hugged her tightly.
