CHAPTER- 6

(on a tea stall)

"Ron...can I ask you something?",do-woon asked.

"yeah..",he said

"is...there something wrong with meera....I mean ...um don't mind but....the way she behaved....during the rehearsals and ....even back....during practices .....and during the music fest...I think something is...really off..",he said hesitantly.

"umm...actually yes..but after,what she've been through, it is really hard for her too,she was not like this before",he said sipping his tea from the cup.

"what..happened with her?",joo-won asked worriedly somewhat curiously.

"ok....so , 2 weeks before the festival,.....a crazy fan of her's broke into her flat at midnight and beat her up,and tried to rape her but somehow she managed to escape from him ,she actually hit him with a table lamp and locked herself in her bedroom, she even got a very bad panick attack and was hospitalised for few days .

she didn't talked to anyone almost for a week,

that's why we missed several activities of the fest",he said.

"what...? you mean all those rumours were true?",yae-joon said somewhat shocked.

"ummm...yes..I brought her there so that it can clear her mind a bit, but it all got just worse by the time,"Ron said looking down.

"ohh.....but Ron what is all that murder fuss about ?",yae-joon asked annoying Ron a bit.

"I don't know actually...it has something to do with her past....,6 years ago when she returned from India after some recording and stuff ,she was totally changed and was diagnosed with severe depression ",Ron said avoiding the matter.

"but...how is she now .....is it fine to leave her alone like that?",joo-won asked worriedly.

"I didn't wanted to but she forced me and veronica to come with you guys.....I am worried about her,because she never tells anyone anything,,doesn't matter what it is about. we've been friends for almost 10 years now ,yet she never told me,so many things about her", Ron said.

"but she is really strong, like after whatever happened to her it is not easy to cope up with that",joo-won said.

"hmmm....you like her don't you?",Ron suddenly asked joo-won.

"umm...no...I mean..how ..can you",

"oh shut up I can see that,and Alex told me everything ",Ron said cutting joo-won in between.

"well....yes...I like her very much, actually I've been listening to her songs since she debuted as an independent artist, and don't.....Mind me but I even follow her on diff social media apps,with fake IDs ,and not just like, I like her the most,and I am her biggest fan",joo-won said fanboying over meera.

"that's quite an honest answer, I didn't expected that",Ron said.

and joo-won just laughed nervously.

"let me warn you meera is my bestie and she is like my sister, so don't you dare hurt her,and don't even try to be close to her until you are clear about your feelings,cause even I have heard many rumours about you",Ron said getting angry .

"Ron, I will never hurt her,I don't know what rumours you have heard about me but trust me none of them was true ",he said getting serious.

"I hope so...",Ron said leaving three of them alone.

"gosh.....I never thought those rumours were true ",yae-joon said.

"who knows if she really is a murderer, Ron is his bestfriend obviously he will not tell us,I am warning you joo-won stay away from that crazy girl,she is very dangerous,"yae-joon said getting up from the stool.

"hyung...that's not true....you and I can't even imagine what is she going through, you don't have any right to judge someone like that when you don't know anything about her ",joo-won said angrily and left.

(In the hotel)

I was sleeping in my room when,Ron and veronica came in.

"hey meera how are feeling now?",Ron asked sitting on the couch.

"better...",I said sitting back.

"what is all this .....?",he asked as he noticed wine bottles lying on the floor.

"meera....you don't know what you missed today,

we went around such a beautiful elephanta caves and siddhivinayak temple,and then we tried some amazing Indian street food,you know what I loved the most it was some gola ...gola..ga",veronica said.

"gol gappas ",I said correcting her.

"yes whatever you said, I loved it ,like I could have eaten all of them,but that useless manager of ours told me,not to eat a lot because, I already gained some weight ",she said .

"hmm...", I responded.

then someone knocked on the door,

"I'll open it",Ron said getting up from the couch.

Ron opened the door revealing stacy.

"mam,the management team is asking, if you are still doing the concert",stacy asked.

Ron just glared at her."I don't think she can after getting this much drunk",

"ofcourse, tell them I will do it, and songs are same which we decided before. ",I said.

"ok,mam and what about the outfit ",she asked.

"wasn't it already decided ", I said .

"mam...actually..the dress...",

veronica noticed the wine bottles and she could tell by seeing Ron's face that there can be a volcanic eruption of his anger and words any time ,so she thought escaping from there was the best option.

"umm...stacy let's go I will help you choose it, on behalf of her",veronica said cutting stacy in between .

then she went out of the room with stacy.

I was there left alone with Ron.

"what was that...?",I said confused.

"you tell me what is all this??,meera look at yourself, how drunk you are, you are not even able to sit straight ",he said angrily.

"sorry..I..I actually needed it a bit",I said looking down.

"a bit?....2 bottles of wine is a bit.....then would you like to tell me what is considered as a lot.",he asked folding his hands.

"whatever man just go from here",I said covering my face from the blanket.

"whatever?...you forgot what the doctor said don't consume alcohol at all otherwise your condition will worsen, you will see hallucinations more often ",he said furrowing his eyebrows.

"I already see those hallucinations with or without alcohol it doesn't matter ", I said.

"meera dude this is the last time ,I am seeing you drunk like this, if you ever drink again ,then kindly forget that you have a friend named Ron Vincent ",he said.

"yaar why are you getting melodramatic, it's just some wine",I said.

"wow...why are you being so irresponsible?",he said.

"ok sorry ,I was wrong I accept it happy now", I said.

"look I don't want to talk to you now,and bye I am hella tired",he said leaving .

"bye,good night ",I said getting up from the bed

"good night ",he said and left.

then I closed the room door and just lied down on the sofa near the window .

I was lying there peacefully..

then I felt as if someone was sitting on the couch behind me...and staring at me..

I got up quickly and checked but there was nobody.

then I heard someone whispering....

"come to me....",

"come to me....",

"come to me.....meera..",

I was startled by those sudden voices, but I couldn't figure out where the hell those noises coming from and then someone knocked on my door again.

I quickly ran towards the door,but that voice was still following me .

I opened the door.

"I am so glad you ca...",I said as I thought it must be Ron. but nobody was there .

then again those whispering started.

"come to me...meera ,come to me....meera,come to me",

I just stood there confused.

then the hotel's lights started getting dimmer and dimmer. and there was a sudden electricity cut off.

whole corridor went black and there was dead silence.

I got scared and switched on my mobile phone's flash light.

"r..r.r.ron.....?",

"v..veronica...?",

"is there someone here...?", I asked.

then I suddenly saw someone standing in the corner.

I pointed my flash light towards him.

"w..who is that???",I gathered some courage and asked .

but he didn't answered then I took some steps towards him and he was again looking down and indicating me through his hands to go there..

"come to me....meera..",he was repeating it again and again.

I walked towards him slowly and realised he...is...Aniket!!(😱)

"Aniket...?", I said as I walked towards him.

he turned to other side and started walking ,

"Aniket...wait..", I said and followed him

and he just got faster and faster.

"Aniket stop please ",

I followed him all along and tried to stop him but neither he looked back nor did he stop.

then I reached on terrace,near the poolfollowing him but he suddenly disappeared.

"Aniket....?Aniket...where are you ,come out please, don't hide like this,please ",

"Aniket....where are you", I was just looking for aniket everywhere like a maniac.

then I stopped for a second and didn't realised that I was juat standing at the edge of the pool.

then someone grabbed my leg and pulled me in the pool .

"aaah.....",

and it just held me so tightly that I couldn't move at all ,I tried freeing myself but it wasn't worth it, then that strange figure just pulled me deep in the pool.

I struggled to free myself from it and breathe.

Then that strange figure disappeared for a second and I tried to swim up but something again caught me by my leg and I sank down and down .I tried hard again but this time it held me by my throat and started to choke me, I was struggling to breathe and free myself from it ,

but it's grip just got tighter tighter, then I couldn't see anything clearly anymore.

when someone jumped in the pool ,and pulled me up with my hand.and I just fainted.

(joo-won's point of view)

I came up on the terrace, for some fresh air,actually I saw meera coming up here so I just came here for her. But when I reached I didn't find meera then suddenly I saw someone drowning in the pool ,then I jumped in to rescue her but I was surprised to see that person,because it was....meera.

I rescued her successfully but she was still unconscious.

I made her lie down on the lounge chair.and then I placed my ear on her chest to check the breathing. and I realised it wasn't that great ,and her breath was unstable, I started cpr on her, blowed air in her mouth but she still wasn't responding.

"meera ...meera...wake up please...",he said rubbing her hands.

I again gave her chest compressions and rescue breathings ,then checked her ,her breathing was normal now but she was still unconscious.

"meera.....meera...meera wake up please..please..don't freak me out...",he said still rubbing her hands.

"wake up ,wake up please...",

then she coughed a bit and opened her eyes.

"thank God....aah ",he said holding her hand.

"meera.....are you fine..now",I asked her cupping her face with my hands.

she smiled at me and then hugged me tightly, it took some time for me to register what was just happening.

"I knew it,it was you.....you don't know how much I waited for you aniket..ah..ah.ah",she said something in hindi ,crying which I didn't understand.

then she pulled back from hug and kept her hands on my face then she kissed me,I didn't reciprocate first but then gave up and Kissed her ,it was a long passionate kiss ,we both didn't broke the kiss for so long, then she pulled back and kept her forehead on Mine,her hands still cupping my face and mine cupping hers.

then she laughed and said ,

"I love you...I love you ....I love you",and started crying.

"tum nahi jaante maine tumhara kitna intezaar kiya hai,waada karo .....wada karo ki tum mujhe kabhi chhod ke nahi jaoge ",she said..which again I didn't understand .

(you don't know how long I waited for you.,promise me...promise me that you'll never leave me again).

then even I thought it was a good moment to confess my feelings for her,so I said.

"I love you too...meera,I love you and ",

before I could complete it she again kissed me.

Then I picked her up in bridal style ,we were still kissing each other,and then I took her to my room, and made her lie on the bed .....

(next morning)

"where is meera..??",Ron asked.

"I don't know sir when I came up here ,to wake her up,I knocked on the door several Times, even called her on her phone but she didn't picked up my call,so I freaked out and called you urgently",stacy said looking down

"what happened Ron??",fred asked.

"I can't find meera anywhere I tried calling her,but she isn't picking it up...",Ron said panicking.

"if something happens to her ...I will never be able to forgive myself..",he said.

"look calm down ,let's do one thing we should look for her in the hotel ourselves first,then if still we can't reach her let's ask for police's help",fred said calming ron.

"guys what happened..?",rose and veronica said walking towards Ron and fred.

"meera is missing..",fred said.

"what.....how she was here yesterday ",veronica said.

"I know...but we couldn't reach her anymore ",Ron said.

"it's all my fault I should have stayed back here or should have asked you to stay with her....",Ron said.

"Ron look calm down,let's split up and look for her everywhere ",rose said.

then fred ,Ron,veronica, rose and stacy started searching for meera everywhere, common room,lobby,everywhere.

Ron even went to ask do-woon if he have seen her.

"do-woon sorry to disturb you but have you seen meera anywhere??",he said gasping

"no..but what happened?",he asked.

"she is missing..",Ron said.

"what..?",do-woon said.

"yes ....if you see her anywhere call me immediately ,ok?",he said leaving.

"ok,I will also go and search for her",do-woon said and quickly closed the door and left

do-woon gathered his team members and they started searching for meera,actually not everyone was there only SEO joon, haa joon,and shi woo were there searching with do-woon ,and ofcourse joo-won was not picking up the call.(😎)

"is joo-won still not picking up the calls?",SEO-joon asked.

"no...I called him many Times but he is just not picking up my call",do-woon answered.

"must be sleeping ",SEO-joon said.

"yeah I think so",do-woon said.

"look you go and look for her on the terrace now ,I am going to joo-won's room to wake him up otherwise you know such a drama queen he is ," do-woon said.

"ok..I'll go and look for her on the terrace ",SEO-joon said and walked towards the elevator.

then do-woon went towards joo-won's room,and knocked on the room door,but he didn't answered then he called his name

"joo-won, joo-won wake up....",

"joo-won...",

"then don't fight with me that I didn't came to wake you up",

joo-won was not still opening the door, so do-woon opened the door using a spare key card of his room.

"joo-won look wake up quickly meera.....aaaaaa...aaah",he said as he walked towards his bed but suddenly stopped when he noticed he was not alone there.

then he again turned back and walked out of the room quickly.

meera and joo-won both woke up hearing the noises.

"aaaaaah....,"meera shouted holding the blanket tightly and wrapping it up on her and sitting up on the bed.

"what happened.....?", joo-won said in a husky voice.

then he also woke up and sat on the bed and meera was still wrapped up in the blanket.

"good morning babe....",joo-won said .

"shut up....what am I doing here",she asked.

"what do you mean?? don't you remember what happened last night ",he asked shocked.

(outside the room)

do-woon was standing outside the room figuring out how to tell Ron that he found meera,and that too in joo-won's room like that .

Because he remembered how Ron warned joo-won to stay away from her.

do-woon was lost in his own thoughts when SEO-joon approached him.

"do-woon look I found meera's phone on the terrace, near the pool",he said walking towards do-woon.

"hmmm..",he just hummed in response.

"what happened why are you standing out here and where is joo-won, is he still sleeping then he will blabber about it later ,wait I will show him",he said and was going to open the room door,but do-woon stopped him.

"wait...don't go in there ",he said.

"why, he is still asleep I have to wake him up",he said and again tried to opened the door,

"wait don't go in there because he is not sleeping, 'they' are sleeping ",he said emphasising 'they'.

"they...who ,what are you talking about?",he asked innocently.

"actually I found meera",do-woon said.

"what, really ?where is she and where did you found her?",SEO-joon asked excitedly.

he pointed towards joo-won's room,and sighed.

"ok,....what?..you mean they ..?you were talking about her when you said they are sleeping ",SEO-joon said shocked as hell.

"yes ...and now I don't know how to tell ron",he said.
