CHAPTER 2

Nia just stood there confused by Ren's actions. But, decided to join her other friends on their way to the school, and then ask ren what in the world caused him to turn into such a scaredy-cat in just a couple of moments.

"Hey, Wendy how are you doing these days? do you guys mind me joining you on your way to the campus? Nia asked a bunch of teens walking down the street.

A warm smile crept onto an orange-haired guy who was almost the same height as Nia and he said "yup definitely Nia, we heard we are having a newbie who lives in your neighbourhood, when are you going to introduce him to us?

"Yup Sean, there is indeed a newbie we are childhood friends he returned to the countryside just a couple of days ago, he's been acting strange lately but that's fine I will make sure he has time to introduce himself to you guys'' Nia said with a frown on her face.

To this, the others hummed in response and went straight ahead towards the road to their school.

Ren was panting and gasping for air and quickly barged into the school restroom. His legs felt weak and his body numb. He tried to open the tap with shaky hands and sprinkled some water on his face. His hands grabbed onto the side of the sink desperately as if trying to calm himself down in search of support. With water dripping from his eyelids, he opened his eyes and looked keenly into the mirror. And to his disappointment, he looked as terrified and vulnerable as he did 2 months ago and the memory of his past events made him shut his eyes once again.

The words echoed in Ren's ears and he grabbed his hair in desperation to get the terrifying voice and those hurtful words out of his mind.
