Nightmare

Ichika is standing in front of a church and she is wondering why is she there. She decided to go inside and when she opened the door, she saw Riku in front of the altar, wearing a white wedding suit. He turned to look at her and he smiled widely. It seems like he is waiting for her.

She looked around and saw that the flower decorations are wilted. It looks like an abandoned church. The seats are dusty and the ceilings are full of cobwebs. She looked at herself and saw that she is wearing a black wedding dress. She started to get nervous when she felt her hands holding a bouquet of wilted white roses.

"What is this?" She mumbled and Riku gestured to her, telling her that she should start walking at the aisle. The piano organ started to play but the sound it is producing is creepy.

"Is this really a wedding? It looks like a funeral." She chuckled nervously and when she is already halfway to the altar, a loud gunshot rang to her ears. Her eyes widened when Riku fell on the floor and she heard more gunshots. She shut her eyes and covered her ears as it keeps on getting louder. Silence fell and she slowly opened her eyes.

A pool of blood is slowly forming around him and she ran towards him but someone is stopping her. She turned around to look who is holding her arm and she saw that it is Arisa. Her tears started to fall and she pushed her away. When she looked at Riku, he is already gone. She heard giggles around her and she kept on looking around until she saw Riku with Arisa. They look so happy and she screamed so loud.

Ichika jolted from her sleep, sweating and panting heavily. She started to cry silently because of that nightmare. She turned the lamp on the bedside table and reached for her phone. Her vision is blurry because of her tears but she managed to dial Riku's number.

She cried hard when the call connected. Riku keeps on asking her what happened but she is trembling in fear. The call ended and after some minutes, Riku called her, telling her that he is already outside her apartment. She immediately went out of her bedroom to open the door.

"What happened?" He asked, so worried why is she crying that hard. She hugged him tight and he hugged her tighter, caressing her hair while giving her kisses on top of her head.

"I had a nightmare. Someone killed you in my nightmare while we are having our wedding and then, Arisa is there." She said between her cries but Riku didn't understand it properly. All he understood is she had a nightmare.

"It's just a nightmare. I'm here. I'm here now." He said in a soft voice, comforting her by giving her more kisses on her forehead and temples, then, wiping her tears.

"Don't leave me. Don't leave me alone. I love you." She kept on crying hard and he decided to close the door and turn the lights on. Her nightmare must be that horrible. She will not be like this if it is just a mere nightmare.

"I will not leave you. I'm here. I'll stay here. Let's sleep together. I love you more, hm? Stop crying now." He cupped her cheeks as he kept on wiping her tears. It took some time before she can finally calm down.

He went to the kitchen to get a glass of water but when he came back to the living room, she is already asleep on the couch. He sighed deeply and drank the water instead. He literally ran from his apartment to hers. Though, it is only some minutes of walk.

He carried her to the bedroom and placed her down gently. He wrapped his arms around her as he covered themselves with the blankets. He smiled faintly, realizing that it is her first time to tell him that she loves him. He pressed his lips on her forehead and closed his eyes to sleep already.

She is putting her things inside a box and she sighed when she saw several boxes in front of her. Because of that incident, Riku decided that she will move in with him already. It is too early for her, that's what she thought. Also, she is feeling a bit bad that they got the wrong timing on saying I love yous to each other.

"Are you done?" Riku asked and she looked at him, nodding while smiling. They carried the boxes to the parking lot and placed all of it inside the car’s compartment.

She already informed the apartment owner that she will move out. She got the deposit money that she gave before and she already got a cleaner to clean the apartment before someone can move in. She is not yet telling her parents that she will live with Riku and also, they still don't know that she already have a boyfriend. She doesn’t know for how long she will keep it as a secret.

She knows that her parents trust her enough but it doesn’t mean she will abuse that. She promised them that she will finish her studies first but her heart started to beat for Riku already. Will they be able to understand their daughter? She is just only a human but she knows her responsibility as their daughter.

"Ready?" Riku asked once more and she just nodded. She fastened the seatbelt and he drove back to his apartment. She looked outside the window and saw a lot of people around. It is weekend and the streets are busy.

"Let's have a date today." He suddenly said but until now, she is thinking about the nightmare. She doesn't know why she had that but it scared her for real. Riku got her hand and held it tight to divert her attention to him.

"Let's have a dinner date. We still have time to prepare." He added and she nodded, smiling faintly. She really appreciates on how he is trying to cheer her up.
