13 Dang it!

Kevin came out from the old, run-down house empty-handed. He locked the door and without looking back, started walking back to his place.

"So, there you are," Mia said with a smirk on her face. "I am coming for you, Sam. And this time, it will be permanent" she had a devilish smile on her face. She looks around to ensure nobody sees her. "I am coming for you" she marked while taking out her gun.

Mia entered inside the house through the window. She got up on her legs only to see a dog staring back at her while growling. The flesh of his mouth was pushed back, revealing his pointed canines. It was a clear indicator that the dog was pissed.

"OH! I didn't see you." She got nervous by the sight. Breathing deeply, she tried to walk away.

***Woof***

***WOOF***

***WOOF***

"Shhh..." she kept her finger on her lips.

***WOOF***

"Keep quiet you fool" she roared at the dog.

***WOOF***

"YOU Son of a bit*h"

***Doorknob turning***

"Crap!" Without wasting any time, she jumped outside from the window and rushed away to a safe distance.

"I Hate Dogs!" she yelled in disappointment.

----------------------

Mia was stomping down on the street.

***Rumbling sound***

The sound was loud and clear. Luckily there was a restaurant nearby. Still stomping, Mia heads towards it.

"Sprite. Fries. And a burger" she ordered. The waitress nodded and left to grab her order while she sat on the table on the farthest corner. She took off her mask and her cap which was completely wet from sweat.

"Kevin's girlfriend is here." Adam whispered in Justin's ear.

"We should give her some company," Justin giggled. "Let's tell the plan to them as well." Justin signaled towards the others who were busy in deciding the table.

Eric, Edward, Adam, and Isham went to Mia and sat besides her.

Mia got stunned when these uninvited guests showed up. "What the hell!" She looked up and instantly recognized them. "Why can't they leave me alone?" she thought to herself.

The boys waved their hands to greet Mia but she ignored them.

"I never thought that Kevin could ever get a girlfriend," Edward laughed.

"What!?" She raised an eyebrow and looked at him with disgust.

"Where is Kevin?" Justin looked around.

Her jaw clenched and she stared at him for a couple of seconds before answering him, "I don't know" she rolled her eyes.

"You really don't know or you don't want to tell us? Is he hiding somewhere here?" Justin asked suspiciously.

The expressions on Mia's face changed to that of a serious one. Anger was rushing through her veins. She clenched her fist and opened her mouth to give them all an earful.

***Phone ringing***

Mia's phone rang up.

"I gotta go" she got up and left the restaurant straight away.

"This girl is strange! But she is way out of Kevin's league" Edward chuckled. All the boys giggled at Ed's comment.

-------------------------

Mia reached her home and saw Ida waiting for her in the hall.

Ida jumped to her feet when she saw Mia entering in. "I got every intel about the officer who killed Eva. It's none other than Charlie-" Ida said hurriedly.

"Charlie..??" Mia's brow lifted up in astonishment.

"Yes Mia" Ida bit her lower lip.

Mia frowned after listening to that. She got reminded of the time when she was eight years old. A small smile worked its way on her face as she recalled those days.

"What do you want to become when you grow up?" A cute, little, eight year old Mia whispered to the girl who was smiling through her pain. This girl had bruises and burn marks all over her legs and hands. Some of the marks were old while some were recently gifted to her for the lifetime.

"Police officer" the girl whispered back.

"Police! It would be dangerous." Mia's round eyes grew wide open with innocence.

"I will not let anyone beat me up. Rather I will kick everyone then." the girl giggled at her thought.

"That's so cool" Mia giggled with her.

"You alright?" Ida placed her hand on Mia's shoulder, snapping her back to reality.

Mia shrugged. "Yes I am" she smiled brightly. "I am so happy to have you in this game Charlie. It will be much more fun now" she thought to herself.

Ida knew something crossed Mia's mind. Breathing out deeply, she continued, "Officer Charlie and Sam were in a relationship. It's been three years since they broke up but they still have feelings for each other."

"This Sam is the mastermind here. He got our Eva killed." Her eyes darkened. "I know Sam's hideout." She added.

"Great! Let's not waste our time then." Ida's eyes lit up.

------------------

Mia and Ida reached the place with their weapons. Covering their faces with masks, they carefully sneaked at the backside of the house. Ida had prepared special cookies to drug the dog.

Mia opened the window to check for the dog. "It's clear" she whispered and jumped inside. Ida followed her.

***Gun Loading Sound***

"Let's do this," Ida whispered. Mia slightly nodded her head. They both turned around and found all the gates were open, all except one. Mia signalled Ida with her eyes. Ida nodded and moved near that door. Mia followed her. They both stood on either side of the door.

Taking a deep breath and tightening the grip on the gun, Mia mouthed, "3, 2, 1…". She kicked the door with full force and it broke down and fell on the ground making a loud thud.

They both entered the room with their guns blazing.

Entering into a house with guns blazing. Would that be a good idea? Is it really Samuel in there? Read the next chapter to find out. Do tell me your views in the comments.
