Chapter 163: A Foolproof Arrangement

"I can't get through on the phone, and I can't find anyone. Jane must be missing. I'll call the police station..."

Daisy hastily took out her phone.

"No need."

Thor stopped her: "I know where Jane is. Nothing serious will happen."

As soon as the flower pattern fell, the space above them suddenly blurred, and a comatose figure descended from the sky.

Thor jumped up, ready to catch her.

"Boom!"

A burst of blood-red energy erupted from Jane's body, unexpectedly repelling Thor, who was caught off guard.

"Oh my God, what happened?" Daisy exclaimed.

"Thud..."

Jane Foster fell to the ground, gradually waking up to see Thor's concerned face.

"I... what's wrong? Where am I?"

"It's okay, don't worry. I'm here," Thor said warmly. "Sorry I'm late."

Seeing Thor's worried eyes, Jane was deeply moved...

"Wow, Jane, you just threw your muscular boyfriend into the air!"

Daisy, acting like a blaring spotlight, yelled and leaned in, instantly breaking the moment.

Thor: "..."

All the romantic tension vanished in an instant!

Jane quickly realized the situation, stood up, and returned to her scientific research demeanor: "Thor, do you know I just entered a mysterious place I've never seen before? A stream of red liquid flowed from my hands into my body! It's incredible, and I feel like I have a lot more research to do!"

Thor gave a wry smile: "I'm sure there will be a chance to study it. But for now, I need to take you somewhere to check it out."

He glanced back at Daisy, who had been unceremoniously sent back: "I'm taking her away for a bit. You should head back first."

With that, Thor opened a portal and sent Daisy back to the cake stall.

"Hey..."

Before Daisy could respond, she found herself back in front of the cake cart.

Then, she saw a colorful light descending from the sky in the distance...

"I swear, it's always like this. Poor single folks get left behind!" Daisy muttered, then smiled as she looked at the group photo on her phone.

For as long as anyone could remember, Bifrost was the only means of crossing the vast distances between the Nine Realms.

Even though Thor now had the more convenient Tesseract and Kamar-Taj's teleportation magic, Asgard's powerful magic circle imposed strict restrictions on space teleportation.

Under normal circumstances, portals couldn't be opened in Asgard. Even a Sorcerer Supreme like the Ancient One could only teleport to the periphery, not inside the Golden Hall.

As for Thor, his makeshift teleportation door would automatically fail upon entering Asgard, and he could barely manage teleportation using the Tesseract.

The only one without limitations was Bifrost.

And Bifrost's Asgardian—Heimdallr—was Asgard's guide.

"Welcome to Asgard!" Heimdallr greeted Jane Foster without any regard for her human identity.

"Wow, this is amazing! I think we should do this again!" Jane said excitedly, holding Thor's hand with eyes sparkling. This was quite different from her previous scientific enthusiasm.

"Such a long distance covered in such a short time—it's incredibly inspiring for my research on space wormholes!" Jane continued.

Thor raised his forehead in slight frustration.

Planet Morag was currently covered by a vast ocean.

The entire planet, except for creatures adapted to that kind of seawater, was essentially lifeless.

But now, as the tide slowly receded, higher terrain was emerging from the water.

Many creatures that had been hidden underground for countless years were now coming to the surface, bringing vitality to the planet.

It wouldn't be long before the Power Orb—also known as the power Stone—reappeared, potentially causing another bloodbath.

Thor, unable to arrive in time, had made arrangements to ensure things remained under control.

In the distant sky, a streak of light pierced through, quickly landing and causing nearby small animals to scatter.

Carol Danvers stood on a rock, surveying the surroundings and observing the water level's slow decline.

"Based on the rate at which the water level is dropping, most areas will be exposed within a day at most. It seems Thor was right."

"If there really is a Cosmic Orb here comparable to the Tesseract, it will certainly attract attention. We need to prepare for battle."

After finding a flat spot, she decided to rest first.

"According to Thor, I should follow someone who seems out of place to find the Cosmic Orb. But there's no one here who fits that description. Where is this person?"

Carol was puzzled.
