Pika Island, Zuki Village, In a Market, 5 days after Roger's execution

It was a beautiful day, on a small island near the beginning of the first half of the grand line, paradise or as it was more commonly known the pirate graveyard.

On this island, an old man can be seen walking with a young kid who looked to be around the age of 7.

"Old man, how many Islands are there in the world?" The young child can be seen asking the elderly fellow.

"The answer to your question, Jishin is... I have no clue yahahahahahahahaha."

"But old man, you're so old, and you have a long beard so, you're supposed to be wise and have the answers to all of my questions." The young boy named Jishin whined.

"Yahahahaha, Jishin instead of me answering all of your questions, how about you go out and answer them yourself."

"I would but you and the other villagers never let me leave this place old man Reuss," Jishin complained

"Only because it is a dangerous world outside Jishin, you know this." The old man named Reuss scolded Jishin.

"I know. Old man, I'm not gonna lie to you… you're very boring to talk to so I'm going to go play." Jishin said cheekily

"Don't make me come over there and teach you some manners brat!" Reuss exclaimed

30 Minutes Later

[Jishin's POV]

Picking berries from these bushes is hard, but I have to do it so I can bring back food for the villagers. I never met my parents and they might even be dead but the villagers raised me since birth so it would be rude if I couldn't even bring back some food for them.

*Boom*

"Aah" I shouted in fright

'What was that noise, It sounded like it came from the village' I thought as I started sprinting towards the village where I had spent my entire life. I was unable to sprint very far due to the fact I felt like my lungs were going to burst out of my body.

*Huff*

When I finally made it to the village the sight shocked me, a huge fire blazed, spreading devastation across the wooden houses. Who knew that a horrible and indescribable sight awaited me. I immediately fell to my knees and started sobbing.

"No! No! No! It's not possible!" I screamed as my tears flowed freely down my face, since the place I called home and the people I called family were gone. Gone forever.

'No, it's just a fire they should have been able to escape' I thought as I ran into the village even whilst it was burning. The sight I saw there made me collapse, for the people who raised me's corpses were spread around everywhere and were burning from the fire.

5 minutes later

'Ugh, what happened and why do I feel so hot?' I thought to myself as I was slowly waking up after what felt like a lifetime, once my eyes were fully open I checked my surroundings and almost broke down crying again.

'This! Why did this happen, what did my village do, that deserved this' I looked around and realized that I was in the middle of the fire and if I don't leave this place now I will burn to death.

I closed my eyes and said a quick prayer, the same one our village would say at someone's funeral. I snapped my eyes open and ran for my life, I can only hope I make it out of this place. I ran all the way over here and I had no time to breathe because I fainted and after that, I had to sprint once again.

'Damn my legs are burning, I have never run so much.' I thought to myself as I finally escaped the fire and made it out of the village and into the forest.

Our village is only on the outskirts of the Island which falls on the left, on the other side of the island there is a marine base which is on the right. I have to go and tell the captain what happened and ask him if he might know who could do such a terrible thing, and if it wasn't a natural occurrence there will be hell to pay.
