Mad love (I'm anti-romantic) Book 3

I love you. I hate you. I like you. I detest you. I need you. I think you're stupid. I think you're a loser. I think you're wonderful. I know you stole my heart in addition to yours. But yet and despite all these, I'll tell you one thing, I STILL WANT TO BE WITH YOU...

Mia locked her bugged eyes at me. I blinked twice at her.

Hello, girlfriend? Are you still here?

"Babe, this is a gift." She gasped. "Whoever gave this to you must be connected to the CEO himself."

I furrowed a bit, "You mean Justin?"

Mia shook her head, vigorously. "You need to see this guy in the real life, girl."

I laid on my elbow, giving Mia full body attention. I smiled as she explains further. She surely has zero ideas why I'm smiling.

"The guy is hot right from a kid. All my life, I had wanted to date him, get to meet with him in person, marry him, even have sex with him."

Okay Mia, my eyes bugged on the last one.

Placing one hand on her chest, Mia sighed happily. "I guess fate never made it so for my assumptions. I found myself with someone else instead."

"Cut it out, Mia." I mumbled, lifting my upper body to sit up. "There is no need for reversing back to your childhood crazy diary of hallucinations."

"You got it right, girl." She beamed on her seat. I rolled my eyes and facepalm. "When I was in highschool, I usually do all the hallucinations of him and me... got married in my head... had five kids..."

"Mia, five?" I hollered, poking five fingers to her face.

"Well...yeah." She shrugged, shamelessly.

I can't believe my bestie's silly mind thoughts. So childish and crazy.

I brittle. Hilarious. Kind of.

She inched closer to me and gasped, "You don't believe me?"

I placed my hand on her chest and slightly pushed her backward a bit, "Keep off with your little assumptions. I won't remind you that you're a married woman but one thing I'll tell you..."

I corked my head sideways. I'm glad no one is seen except Mia and I.

I placed a hand behind my mouth and whispered something to Mia.

She jolted up at once even before I finished my words. "That's a one flat ass lie!"

Yes I know she wouldn't believe me. I saw this coming before.

"He was here today. It was his car I bumped into." I paused. Mia is stunned. "Accidentally." I added, but yet, that still didn't count. "Believe me, Ava and Aria's dad was here and he gave me the complimentary card." I took it from her.

I thank God that my best friend did not migrate into dumbness for long. After some while and moment of seconds past by, she finally said, "Did he recognize you?"

I facepalm my forehead and dragged it down my face. I frowned, "Don't be silly, Mia. He remembered that a woman took advantage of his body that night but still didn't know it was me who did it."

Mia reached for my hand and held it in hers. Her chin cupped. I sighted pain in her eyes, "I understand how you feel after all these. You were only trying to help him get a seed whom would tap from his late father's blessings."

I could only sigh and bend my head down. "That day....that night...we happened." Tears began to roll down my cheeks. I sniffed. "He is so innocent to be hurt this way, Mia."

I lifted my eyes to my bestie. "I saw him today. We talked like we knew each other since ages. He doesn't deserve to suffer, Mia. He hasn't changed. I remembered those eyes....they didn't differ from the drunken ones..."

"Shh," Mia pulled me to herself, placing my head on her chest, she pats my head and ran her fingers through my hair, gently.

"He's so pure, a heart of gold." I pulled back and shook my head vigorously, "I don't think I can ever forgive myself."

"Hey, don't say that." Mia soothe me. "Fate has a booklet of reasons why it all happened. Besides, take a very good look at the girls. Your daughters. The same kids that link a bond between you and him. Aren't they lovely and precious?"

I shook my head and wipe my eyes in agreement to what she just said.

Mia lend me her clean white handkerchief. I took it and wiped the incoming tears.

"What you need to do right now, is think of how to mesh the truth with Bernard first and him second."

I'm stunned now.

Speechless.
