She didn't want to let Zen think that she's the kind of woman that would listen to her parents.
After all, if a woman has to listen to every word from their parents then it means every decision they take is not by them. Including the marriage arrangement part where they would have no say even if they hated their other half.
Alas, Daphne Camellia simply picked the wrong time to try and argue with Byrne Camellia as she received the same fate as Leon Camellia.
