Lucifer: Endure

Date: October 12 (between s2e3 and s2e4)

In a closed room sat an individual dress in the usual surgical garb though he isn't wearing the mask or gloves at the moment. He had blonde hair and smooth pale skin, he had clear gem-like ocean blue eyes. The man looked to be in his mid twenties. He was sitting on a chair, in front of him was a steel table. The room he was in was empty, there was a set of door leading out of the room and a large mirror-like panel that the man was looking at intently. Both of the man's hands were on the table interlocking the fingers together. He was leaning back in the chair as he waited to be questioned. The man knew he was in a police station's interrogation room because he was a suspect in the murder of one of his colleagues.

The man's eyes trailed slowly from the panel to the door as it suddenly opened. In through the door came a brown haired man dressed in very cop-like comfortable clothing. The newcomer was the detective that brought him in. The detective sat across from him in one of the two empty chairs as he plopped down a file onto the table. The detective opened the file and flicked through a couple pages before looking up to the man. "Hello, I am Detective Espinoza, and according to your file you are Dr Raphael Demiurges, is that correct?" The detective said introducing himself and clarifying who the man opposite him was.

"Yes, that is my name, but please just call me Raphael" the man known as Raphael said as he sat up straight, showing an inviting smile. Detective Espinoza sighed in relief because this suspect was being very upfront, he returned the smile and then began his questioning.

"So you and Dr Madden were coworkers, did you and her have any bad blood between you?" Detective Espinoza asked.

Raphael's face became solemn as his smile became a wavering frown. "No, I had no bad blood with her, we were at one point in a relationship together but when we started working close to one another we decided to end the relationship to keep professional, that was about a year ago if I remember correctly" Raphael said as he looked down at the table looking like he was about to shed tears.

This answer surprised Espinoza because there was no information on this relationship from the file or any of the other interrogations. "For how long we're you two in a relationship and did anything significant happen between you two in the last year?" Espinoza asked in a lower tone as he looked to Raphael with pity.

"We first met in our first year of Med school, and our intimate relationship started a year before we officially became licensed medical practitioners. Our more intimate relationship lasted around three years. To answer your other question she did start acting weirdly, looking away from me in the hallways, blushing when she saw me leaving the bathroom and more, but I'm pretty sure they were coincidences" Raphael answered as he slowly started to lean further back.

"Hmm… Okay… Do you have an alibi for last Tuesday from seven to eight pm?" Espinoza said as he picked up a pen and got ready to write down whatever Raphael said.

"Umm… I'm pretty sure by that time I was at home looking over the condition of my next couple patients" Raphael answered knowing where this road of questioning was going to lead. "Do you have anyone that can confirm your alibi?" Espinoza asked already having a good idea on what the answer would be. Raphael shook his head. Espinoza still wrote it down though he noted that there was no confirmation of the alibi.

After a few more preliminary questions Detective Espinoza left the room. When he left the room Raphael looked directly to the panel.

Behind the glass/3rd POV

Behind the one way glass facing into the interrogation room was a small room. In the small room were three people, one of them was Espinoza. The other two were a blonde woman with a mole under the outer corner of her left eye and a dashing man with dark hair and stubble. They were all discussing the testimony they just observed and their theories on what actually happened.

"I think he did it, it was obviously jealousy, she must of gotten herself into a new relationship" the tall dark haired man said as he looked through the one way glass at Raphael inside who looked directly back, this unnerved him.

The blonde woman spoke "that's just pure speculation, Lucifer, and we haven't had any confirmation of any other relationships. I still think it was the vic's other coworker". Lucifer squinted his eyes still looking at Raphael "wait a second, he looks familiar, he seems familiar for some reason, I'll have to ask Amenadiel. So… can I go in?"

The blonde woman sighed and approved but by that time he was already leaving the small room.

Interrogation Room/3rd POV

The doors flew open as Lucifer stepped in. Raphael didn't flinch at his entrance but calmly reacted. Lucifer leaned into the table with both of his hands pressed down into it. He leaned closer to Raphael as they looked into each other's eyes. "What is it you truly desire?" Lucifer melodically asked Raphael as a faint hum entered both of their ears. Raphael's mouth widened as he began to speak "what are you doing Samael?"

Lucifer jumped back at being called by his old name. "W-what? Who are you?! How do you know that name?!" Lucifer furiously inquired as he slammed his hands down onto the table. "What do you mean Samael? Do you not recognise me?" Raphael questioned in a concerned tone. "Stop calling me that! That's not my name! My name is Lucifer!" Lucifer said as he grabbed Raphael by the collar and tried to lift him but found himself unable to.

"What are you?!" Lucifer shouted as his eyes flared and turned red. He attempted to scare an answer out of him but Raphael only looked at him with pity. Raphael raised on of his hands and placed it gently on Lucifer's shoulder and consoled him "I think you need to calm down, from what I know there are people through that mirror, don't make a scene" he said as he pointed to the one way window. When Lucifer turned his head to look where he was pointing he let go, Raphael whispered to him "if you want, we can talk privately later."

Lucifer looked back a little less angry than before and without saying a word left the interrogation room. When the door closed Raphael readjusted his posture and straightened his clothes. Raphael then trained his gaze to the one way glass.

Behind the glass/3rd POV

Back in the small room Lucifer just stepped in and Espinoza began berating him. "How could you do that?! And what was that bullshit about asking him who he is, we have his file! The dude seemed genuinely nice and my gut is telling me he didn't do it, Chloe can you tell him what he did was wrong!" Chloe Decker, the lead detective on this case, looked at Lucifer disapprovingly "Lucifer, what you did was wrong, I think you should take a step back because it seems you and a suspect don't seem to be on good terms-"

"To me it looked like he was the one angry, the other guy didn't act like they had bad-blood-" Espinoza was saying, cutting off Chloe. Chloe interrupted Espinoza to get him less worked up "why didn't your eye thing work on him?"

Lucifer exasperatedly said "in all honest I don't know, there hasn't been a human able to resist it, other than you detective". Chloe entered a state of thought as she was wondering if there was something Lucifer wasn't telling her.

"I'll be going in now to talk to him" she said resolutely before opening the door and stepping out of the room. Espinoza gave Lucifer the stink eye "why do you hate this guy? Did he do something?" Espinoza said now a little concerned but this was greatly lessened by the thoughts of his interaction with Raphael. An awkward silence took the room as Lucifer only glared at Raphael through the one way glass as Raphael looked back, Lucifer placed his hand on the glass as his focus intensified. "You just not going to answer?" Espinoza asked in a kind of sassy voice that showed he somewhat expected Lucifer to act like this. "Bugger off Daniel" Lucifer said with nearly no attention on Espinoza.

Interrogation room/3rd POV

Chloe was now sitting in front of Raphael as she opened his file. "So, Raphael, what caused Lucifer to act like that?" Raphael didn't seem surprised "sorry detective but I don't see how that is relevant to the case, so no I won-"

Suddenly a beautiful young woman came into the room with a smiling expression "I got something you need to see Decker". Chloe turned to the woman and said in an irritated voice "not now Ella, don't you see I'm kind of in the middle of something". Ella looked to Raphael and blushed in embarrassment, she looked back to Chloe and gave a helpless smile, "never mind that, I found something that cracked the case wide open" Ella said as she puffed up and regained her cheery smile.

"What? You did?" She said in an amazed yet confused voice as this hasn't come up in the last couple of analyses they had done, Ella nodded still smug. Chloe looked to Raphael "we'll have to cut this short, don't leave the city" she said as she stood up, picking up the file. "Don't worry detective, L.A is my home" Raphael said as he also stood up. They all left the room, Ella and Chloe going to the forensics lab and Raphael leaving. As Raphael was leaving Lucifer exited a door and watched him with almost hateful eyes, Espinoza was a little behind Lucifer watching his reaction, he was very curious to the connection between them.
