WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER PET

"Can you believe that? He actually accepts my alibi and even wants me to have a bride!" It's been weeks since he acknowledged what I said to him.

My father is smiling every time he sees me and keeps on saying that he supports me!

"It's your fault. I warned you about your carelessness." I lean on the chair as I breathe in some fresh air. "Luna, be my bride." She stops eating as she coughs roughly.

"CAN YOU HEAR YOURSELF?!" She asked as she grabs herself a water to drink.

"YOU'RE ASKING ME TO LOSE EVERYTHING FOR YOU?! IN YOUR DREAMS HEL." I sigh as I lay my head on the table.

"I don't want to marry anyone Luna. You know how much a pain it'll be."

"It's just a marriage to strengthen the Kingdom, Tia. It's not like you actually have to please your partner. You just have to attend some ceremonies with her and that's it." She's saying that as if it's an easy thing to do.

"Don't be too hard on yourself. Talk to your future fiancé and tell her that she can love another man in secret."

"That sounded like our marriage is the hindrance for their forbidden love." And I'm going to be the third wheel? As if my image can allow that.

"Well, you might put it that way." She said as she wipes her mouth gently. " "Why isn't your father preparing for your sister's wedding instead? Tell him you're going to marry after she does because you respect her."

That might be a good idea, but respecting her is not included. "I'll consider it." I said as I stand up. "My maid is waiting. I should probably go."

"You could've simply stated that you're going to cause more problems for your sister. Don't bring your innocent maid into the picture."

"Just when did you start to care about my servants?" I said while chuckling. She shrugs her shoulder as she looks at me.

"I mean, your maid looks innocent. Just when did you start to have a thing for gentle people? I thought you didn't like someone who reminds you of Lithia?"

"Innocent.. you say." I wave my hand as I walk out of her garden. "You'd take that back sooner or later."

I'm sure Luna's confused right now. But if she observes my maid, she is not someone who has a really nice attitude.

"Did Her Majesty have fun?" It's been weeks since she became my maid. And it's been weeks since she starts to improve.

Instructors were impressed based on how they praised her in front of me. Maybe, she just loses a few screws in her head and slowly manage to fix it back slowly.

A noble who can't read? Who would believe in that? Maybe she's just traumatized on her past experience and forget some of her knowledge.

"I do. In fact, we just talked about you." As soon as we enter the carriage she looks at me with a confused face.

"We talked about how much innocent you are." She laughs slightly as she composed herself. "If things go bad, you can also come to the White Manor."

"Luna is a nice person. You can get along with her."

"I don't like how she stares at me, Your Majesty." She looks outside as I stay quiet. "It feels like she doesn't like me."

She stays quiet at the whole ride, just looking at the window with a straight face and soon, fell asleep on the carriage.

I didn't bother to wake her up as I made her wait for hours without any rest. She's been staying all night to study and all I give to her was my unsatisfied whining everyday.

To think that she lasted for weeks is an achievement as I grow tired easily when it comes to faces.

As the carriage stop, her eyes open up slowly. "Your Majesty?" She calls first thing when she wakes up.

"If you're going to sleep, you have your bed."

"I'm sorry." She said as she stretches her arms. "I just dream of her majesty, throwing me away." She even dream of me throwing her away? I might throw her away to make it come true then.

"You lasted for weeks. Be proud of yourself." We get off the carriage as we went straight ahead to my parents. "I'm home, father."

"Did you had a nice chat with Luna?" Now that he opens the topic..

"Father, isn't it fair if you also find a fiancé for Lithia?" She looks at me as she looks at father. "But Lithia said she wanted to take care of you so she refused all of her suitors." I feel my fist getting hot as you can see 'IRRITATION' sketches all over my face.

"I will not marry anyone until you can't find a suitable partner for Lithia, father."

"Hmm.. Understood." Father said as he looks at me.

I smile as I bow slightly. Lithia, who's just beside me, runs towards me as she grabs my dress. I look at her as I chuckle for a bit.

"You don't like the word marriage, isn't that right, Lithia?" I grab her arms as I pull her close to me.

"Now I have to watch you walking on the aisle first or—"

"Do you prefer to look after me instead, like you stated? Since you've already stated it, I may tell father to have you serve me every day. I'm not opposed to it. A servant Lithia is also a good to my ears." I said, whispering in her ear as I can see her face turning red.

"Is my sister.. blushing? How rare. Are you starting to be attracted—"

"YOUR MAJESTY." I let go of her arms as soon as her maids interrupt. "I suggest Her Majesty to rest as she just got home."

"I see you've been recycled. I'd want to express my gratitude to my sister for taking such a biodegradable item." I left Lithia on the ground as I decided to sleep in my room for the whole day.

"I'm gonna take off your shoes, Your Majesty."

"You." She stops as she looks at me. "It's Serina, Your Majesty." She smiles as she continues to remove my shoes.

"Do you want me to hire maids that can help you?" I said as my arms are laid on my eyes.

"Aren't you satisfied with my work, Your Majesty?"

"Average." I simply answered.

"You said you only need 1 maid who can accompany you. We don't need another pet in your circle, Your Majesty." As soon as I heard her response, I let out a small laugh. Look at how she just refers to them as a PET!

She's adopting my personality little by little.

I sit slowly as I look at her in disbelief.

"Innocent.. she said." This woman isn't even innocent, Luna.
