Lotus in the Blood

I paid a heavy price for falling in for you and I paid for it with my life. I could not see the cruelty hidden behind the mask of your innocence. I predicted this day would come but I fell in front of my heart. You are the blood of that person, even though my heart chose you. Silly heart! didn’t know what it was choosing. I knew I’ll die today to live tomorrow. I see my beautiful mother and charming father together up in the sky for the first time. They are delightfully waving their hands and welcoming me. Now I can sleep on her lap and quench this thirst that I was deprived of.
