First Battle

"Who wants to beat them up first?" I look over at the cats, Shiver and Silk are both hyped up so the other two seem to leave it to them. Okay then.

"How do I do this then... Shiver and Silk, please."

Looks like they could easily beat the monster, but we should still be careful of their dwellings.

"Okay~ [Hunt] Silk and Shiver~" I watch them run out to the forest, Shiver is much faster and reaches the monster first. Silk eventually reaches the monster as well. I slowly follow but I keep my distance.

"Fun! Fun! Fun!" Silkie keeps chanting each time he lands an attack. Shiver seems to be keeping track of where the monster is going, following it with her eyes carefully and quickly trapping it before it runs away. I sit down in the grass, putting Fern in my lap. Doggy watches silently, waiting for his turn. He's a very obedient and patient little kitty.

"It'll be our turn next, right?" Fern looks back at me, purring from the petting he's receiving.

"Of course, are you thinking about how you'll fight it?" I wondered about his stats.

Oh, let's check this while they finish up. I pull out the notepad and go through the pages again.

Woah, that's a lot of Stamina. Well, that's very characteristic of Doggy. But his Intelligence is so low. I look over at Doggy, and he looks up at me.

"Doggy, do you want to be smarter?" I ask, just out of curiosity.

"For what?" Doggy looks confused. I guess he's used to it at this point. Besides, it's not like I could tutor him or something, right? Though I had something called Stat Points earlier. I wonder what those are...

I look down at the notepad again.

Stat Points can be used to raise your stats. Summons will receive stat points after they reach a certain amount of experience.

"Finished!" Shiver runs over to us and sits by me. Silkie is dragging the corpse over to us.

"Uh, you don't have to bring it over Silkie." I watch nervously as he drops it from his mouth. I didn't really want to have to deal with dead bodies, but I guess if I want to sell it to gain money then I'd have to put it somewhere. I wonder if I could put it in the item bag.

"Oh, okay." Silkie whines a little. I pet Fern and pat on the ground, telling him to hop down. He gets off my lap and I get up. I walk over to the corpse and try to put it into the item bag. It goes in just fine.

"Thanks for taking care of it, you two." I smile at Shiver and Silkie. They both happily lay down, Shiver looks over at Silkie and starts to groom him. They have a cute friendship... relationship? How does it work... I'll ask them later.

"Okay, so it's Fern and Doggy's turn now, right? Do you hear anything else Fern?" He seems to have a keen sense of hearing, more than the other two. Or maybe that's just because he's a very observant cat. He was always able to pick up on my sudden mood shifts or when I had a bad day. So I think he's just very observant in general.
