The Butterfly Near The River

I ran over to the river straying away from my sisters, who were talking about boys they like. Me who is the second eldest of the children. My mother has 4 daughters, and my father always wished for a boy. But they are now too old to have more children. I started to walk along the bank of the river. I let out a sigh before screaming:

"Why do they only like to talk about boys!"

I stood there for a moment satisfied with myself, before walking farther up the river. The water was crystal clear a few salmon swam around. About 100 feet in front of me was the waterfall. One of my favorite spots to be alone. Today is different there was somebody else there. Why there that is my spot now it is contaminated. Wait this means I have to talk to them. I start to approach my stop, to see a boy about my age sitting on a rock by the bank. I was trying to be quiet when approaching him, but a stupid stick have to ruin everything. *Crack*

He turned around very quickly. He wore what looked like at being wealthy family clothes. a soldier, no... possibly to be a mage. He had blond hair, it was short in the front and only a section in the back was long. I believe he was talking to me but I was too busy looking into his eyes. He has blue eyes I mean really blue eyes. It reminded me of a Blue Morpho butterfly.

"Blue Morpho?"

"So your name is Blue Morpho"

"Oh, no sorry, my name is Sparrow"

Why out of all the names my mother had to name me Sparrow? Well, she names all of us after birds. But why birds it could have been flowers those names are much better. I shook my head to clear that thought.

"Well nice to meet you"

"What is your name" I put on a flimsy smile.

"My name is Eros"

"Nice to_"

Before I could finish the sentence my sister was calling for me. There goes my freedom. I waved bye to the Eros for disappearing into the woods. I made for the path, and my world before me started to move. *Smack* My sisters started to laugh. I had tripped on a bush that blocked my path. I sat up and looked at my sister

"Is my nose bleeding?"

"No, you are fine," Robin said.

"What were you doing over there anyway," Raven said.

"I wanted to look a the fish, to see if I could catch one.

Luckily lieing is one of my talents. Why would I want to walk and talk about boys with you guys? Why can we talk about something normal like spring, or mother's birthday? But boys come on! I just want to live alone and never think about love.

"Oh really! Dove said cheerfully.

I smile, can we go home now? See I told you we are all named after birds. Robin is the eldest. Then I, Raven am next, Dove is the youngest and is the last of all the children. We again started to walk home before it got dark. I looked back down the path to the river.
