Chapter 1Jaxon

The sun had just set beyond the horizon, leaving a warm red tint in the sky as the stars started to twinkle like diamondsin the night sky. The streets of the city were lit up with the warm glow of lanterns, as a young man walked with purpose down its winding alleys. His long black hair was tied back in a neat ponytail, and he wasin the darkness of the wilderness. A lone figure made their way through the dense trees with a sense of urgency in their stride. The figure was dressed in a combination of leather and chain mail armor, adorned with various trinkets that glinted in the moonlight. Their face was obscured by a hood, but their eyes shone with determination and a hint of something darker.

This figure was a Demon Hunter, one of the few who still roamed the land in search of the creatures that had infiltrated the realm. They were a rare breed, feared and respected in equal measure. Their reputation was one of ruthless efficiency, and their methods were not always viewed as morally just. But the Demon Hunters didn't concern themselves with such trivialities – their sole purpose was to rid the world of demons, by any means necessary.

The Demon Hunter in question was named Jaxon, and he was on a mission to eliminate a particularly dangerous demon that had been spotted in the nearby town. The demon had been causing havoc and carnage, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. The town's villagers had pleaded with the local authorities to do something about the demon, but their calls had fallen on deaf ears.

That's where Jaxon came in. He was a mercenary of sorts, taking on jobs that others refused to do. His services didn't come cheap, but they were always effective. Jaxon had a knack for tracking and hunting demons like no other, and his reputation preceded him.

As he made his way through the forest, Jaxon gripped tightly onto the hilt of his sword. He knew that the demon he was hunting was powerful, and he couldn't afford to make any mistakes. He had researched the demon's weaknesses and strengths, but he knew that it wouldn't be an easy fight.

As he got closer to the town, he could hear the sounds of chaos and destruction in the distance. Screams echoed through the night, and the stench of burning buildings filled his nostrils. Jaxon quickened his pace, knowing that time was of the essence.

When he finally arrived at the town, he was met with a scene of utter devastation. Buildings were on fire and rubble littered the streets. Bodies lay strewn about, both demon and human alike. The demon had clearly been on a rampage.

Jaxon began to make his way through the town, his senses heightened as he searched for any signs of the demon. He could hear the demon's growls in the distance, and he knew he was getting closer.

And then, he saw it.

The demon was massive, standing at least nine feet tall with skin like molten lava. It had wings that spanned the length of a house, and its razor-sharp teeth glinted in the moonlight. Jaxon knew that this was the demon he had been sent to kill.

Without hesitation, he lunged at the demon with his sword. The demon swung its massive arm, knocking Jaxon back with a debilitating blow. But Jaxon didn't falter. He got back up, his eyes fixed on his target.

The two clashed again and again, each blow more ferocious than the last. Jaxon fought with every ounce of strength he had, using his agility and quick thinking to gain the upper hand. The demon was relentless, but Jaxon was driven by a deep-seated hatred for all demons.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the demon let out a deafening roar as it fell to the ground, lifeless. Jaxon stood over its mangled corpse, panting and covered in sweat. He had succeeded in his mission.

He looked around at the destruction wrought by the demon and couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness. The town had suffered greatly, and many lives had been lost. But he knew that he had done what he had to do to protect the realm from the demon's malevolent presence.

Jaxon took a deep breath and made his way out of the town. He knew that there would be more demons to battle, more lives to save, and more darkness to fight. But he was ready. For Jaxon was a Demon Hunter, and he would rise to any challenge thrown his way.

Rebirth of the Nameless Immortal God

Earth has undergone an odd change. Expanding by millions of times its original size, its population was suddenly split into two halves. On one side, there was a group of technologically advanced humans. But, on the other, a world of cultivation had grown and pospered. The secrets that led to this change have been hidden in the darkness for too long... Until there came a day where a boy born on the Mortal side of the world was found to have the talent to enter the Martial side. Having lost both of his parents to a hidden tide, he chose to leave all that he had known behind and enter this land of danger. What truths would he unveil? What would he learn about what separated the Mortals from the Cultivators? What hidden evils wanted to ensure that his people never rose up and gained power? And how would those evils... deal with him? ---- This list of things I hate is quite long. The first is that I hate to be tested the most. The second is that I hate to be tested the most. The third also happens to be that I hate to be tested the most. The ocean's depths are too shallow, the sun's light too dim, the ground too mundane and the skies too small. For those born of this colorless world to deem themselves worthy of casting judgement on me... I can only say that it's laughable. I am the Nameless Immortal God because even the Heavens themselves are unworthy to name me. Even while I am unaware of my own identity, I will dry the oceans until cracked land is all that is left, I will cast the sun into endless darkness, I will shatter the ground with my feet and sunder the skies with my blade. Am I too arrogant? What right do you have to think that? --- https://discord.gg/awespec
