Truth About Jay's Reincarnation

"Let me first tell you about a legend passed down from generation to generation. Millions of years ago, when there was only a single plane in existence. On this plane, everything was possible and anything that comes into your imagination probably exists somewhere. Then one day, this single plane broke apart into fragments that will later on be known as the Great Millennia. As for why this happened, some say a godlike being shattered the plane. Some say that it was just because of the passing of time. Who knows why it happened?"

"What does this all have to do with..." Jay was about to ask something in the middle of Hellson's story, but Hellson shushed him and told him to just listen.

"During those times, the Fatelord Plane was ranked as the 1st in terms of power, or probably in everything else. All of the inhabitants before were either Fatelords or Divine Beings. There were trillions of us." Hellson said confidently with a bit of arrogance in his voice.

"But everything changed one day, just like what always happens due to the passing of time. I really don't know what exactly happened that day. Not even the Fatelords still alive at the present knows what really happened that day. But during that cursed day known as the 'Day of Abyss,' the Fatelords and Divine Beings started fighting each other. An endless internal conflict happened. In the end, only 50% of the trillions of inhabitants survived."

"Holy s**t..." Jay's jaw dropped during this part of the story, but Hellson shushed him again just as he was about to say anything.

"Then after that, the Fatelord Plane kept getting weaker and weaker, until we were ranked as 999th within the Great Millennia. And during this time, a certain boy was born. This boy belonged to a farming village and had a very nice family. But one day, due to the planar invasion happening, his village was raided and burnt to the ground. Do you know how he survived?" Hellson asked Jay.

"Wait, you were just talking about how the planes came into existence, so what's with the topic shift?" Jay asked hurriedly.

"Just answer the question." Hellson said and looked as if he was running out of patience.

"The parents of the boy hid him in some kind of box or maybe dropped him into a river and hoped that some fisherman will save him? I don't know..." Jay answered.

"Your answer was pretty close but not quite. What really happened was that this boy... hid under the corpses of his parents, pretending to be dead, while the planar invaders razed his village. After they left and the boy was the only survivor left in the village, he cursed the entire world. He screamed on top of his lungs that he hates everything. He just wanted to die and live another life." Hellson said and looked as if he was telling the story from past experiences.

"I think it's pretty obvious that this boy was me... if you observed the change in the tone of my voice." Hellson said as he looked at Jay.

"No way! Aren't you supposed to be in some kind of special and rich family somewhere in the Sacred Song Isles?" Jay immediately asked since this story of Hellson just did not really make any sense.

"No one said that the Sacred Song Isles is where all of the Fatelords are born. Besides, anyone can become a Fatelord if they know how to do things. Back to my life story during that time, after all the shouting and the wailing I did, I just stood like a statue in the middle of my burnt village. I did nothing and just stood still, waiting for whatever is out there to strike me down. But something else happened." After a short pause, Hellson continued.

"I started daydreaming. A dream about different worlds, different realities. I saw a world where constructs made out of metal moved around dominating humans. I saw a world where everything was frozen in ice and its inhabitants were giants. I keep seeing different worlds in this dream of mine. And after a period of time, who knows how long I have been standing still, daydreaming, I managed to see a very unique and special world. A world where magic does not exist, a place where a lot of things I have never seen before existed, a world so different from the rest. It was the world you and those players live in, Jay."

When Jay heard this, he was starting to connect some dots with all of the thing Hellson said.

"But sadly, the moment I dreamed about your world, I suddenly collapsed. The moment I woke up, I found myself surrounded by hundreds of people in white hooded robes."

...

--- Sacred Song Isles ---

"Ugh... where am I?" Hellson, an 11 year old boy who was really skinny and ragged woke up. He saw that he was currently surrounded by men in white hooded robes. He also saw that some kind of yellow specks of light dropped on him and it felt very nice, as if it was healing him of something.

"Just relax child. We won't hurt you." One of the men in the white hooded robes said as he pushed Hellson gently back on the sacrificial table he was in.

",.,.,.,<><<>././././..l;l;l" The men in the white hooded robes started chanting in a weird and ancient language while Hellson closed his eyes, feeling the warmth from whatever spell they were using on him.

...

After a couple of hours later...

"Huh? Where am I?" Hellson asked himself again the moment he opened his eyes. This time, he was lying down on a very comfortable bed. He also realized that he was not skinny anymore and had a normal physique. His hair was shaved off and he also felt magicka flowing in his veins.

"Hi there! Do you have a name?" A cute girl that was around Hellson's age suddenly grabbed his hand as she said this. She had short brown hair and wore some normal looking clothes. This girl was Maris, who became the wife of Hellson in the future.

"Hellson..."

"Hellson? What a weird name! Hahaha!!! So you are like a son from hell or something? Hahaha!!!" Maris laughed and laughed.

"Hey! What's so weird about my name?! I bet your name is more weirder than mine! Hmph." Hellson said as he stood up.

"How rude! My name is Maris. Care to explain how my name is weirder than yours?" Maris said while she faked a pouting expression on her face.

Hellson did not know what he should say since this was the first time he had a conversation like this.

"Well, forget about it. Anyways, since you are one of us now, mom told me to teach you our way of life around here." Maris said and grabbed Hellson, pulling him and led him outside of the room they were in.

...

--- Mind Room ---

"Hey, why are you telling me your life story? Does this have anything to do with me?" Jay asked Hellson since it looks like Hellson was going to tell him everything that happened in his life so far.

"Fine then. That was the time I became a Fatelord. Maris taught me how to use my Fatelord powers and after around 30 years later, after a lot of happy experiences in the Sacred Song Isles together with the other Fatelords, I proposed to Maris and both of us got married afterwards."

"Hey! Are you just telling this to make me feel bad for not having a girlfriend?! Goddamn! Just go straight to the point." Jay exclaimed.

"Just listen! Anyways, after all of that, and after another couple of years, the dreams about the other worlds I had when I was still a kid came back to me. I started to think of it over and over again as I looked at the different books I wrote when I was bored. So I thought to myself during that time..."

...

--- Sacred Song Isles, Hellson's Room ---

Hellson was currently seated in front of a desk, writing a book that talked about whatever he was thinking of at the moment.

"Different worlds... I am a Fatelord now, the Fatelord of Knowledge. Those worlds I dreamed of, it just felt as if it was real, and not just a simple dream, as if those worlds were just part of a different dimension... Dimension?" Hellson suddenly had a great idea.

"What if those worlds really exist? I must get to the bottom of this." After thinking for a while, Hellson stood up and left a note to Maris, telling her that he will be out for some kind of journey.

...

--- Mind Room ---

"Don't tell me you actually succeeded?" Jay was a bit shocked since the story Hellson was telling him was all pointing at the same direction, something related to his reincarnation.

"I did. After 20 years, I created my greatest weapon... I mean invention. The Multidimensional Astral Gate. I was not sure how I even came up with the name or how I managed to create it, but with a stoke of luck, I managed to built it. This invention of mine looks like a small red orb with a circular golden frame on it. When activated, it let me travel to different realities, different dimensions. The only downside was that my powers as a Fatelord cannot be used on the different places I go to, but I can still use magic."

"Wait, isn't your invention just a bit too godly?" Jay was shocked since if this invention of Hellson did exist, then he can just look for an alternate dimension where he can live peacefully with Maris for eternity or something.

"It's not really as godly as you think it is. It can actually be only used five times. And sadly, I already used all of those five times." Hellson sighed as he said this.

"The first time, I used it to explore the different realities in existence but after thousands of years of doing so, I got tired of it since the different realities and dimensions in existence were just infinite."

"Wait... thousands of years?" Jay immediately asked.

"When I am in another dimension or reality, time around me slows down. So thousands of years might just be 10 years or something in this reality where we are in right now." Hellson said before continuing speaking of how he used the Multidimensional Astral Gate.

"The second time, I tried looking for candidates to help us in the planar invasion. This took my only a couple of years."

"The third time, I went to your world, since I was really curious about it. Of course, I already had a candidate at that time to bring into the reality we are in right now. But I was just really curious on how people from your world live without any kind of magic."

"The fourth time, I used it as an emergency escape. I was chased by planar invaders from planes ranking 500th and above."

"The fifth time... was when I got stuck in your world. And this is where I spent around 50 years before returning to the Fatelord Plane... with you."

After elaborating all of this, Jay was really shocked. He did not know if he should ask something or just keep on listening.

"During my time in your world..."

...

Somewhere in the United States...

--- Bright x Light Gaming Company ---

"Everyone, thank you for coming here today to celebrate the opening of our gaming company." Hellson, who now looked like a middle-aged man, exclaimed happily to the crowd gathered around him. He was still bald and wore some eyeglasses for some reason.

"Cheers!" The crowd in front of Hellson shouted in unison as they drank down some beer.

"We will build the best virtual reality game there is!" Hellson shouted as he opened a bottle of champagne and drank from it directly.

"Cheers!"

...

Thanks to Hellson being the Fatelord of Knowledge, he easily learned how to do some programming when it came down to making virtual reality games.

He built this gaming company in order to blend in with the people. He hired around 50 people with gaming and programming experiences. No matter how good or bad they are, he just hired them.

Then around 40 years later, Hellson finished up creating a virtual reality game he named as Dungeons and Towers of Fate.

"*sigh... I actually made a game that centered around the Fatelord Plane. But I suppose this will do."

...

When Dungeons and Towers of Fate was finally released for the public's use, thanks to Hellson and some of the men working under him, it's popularity immediately skyrocketed. Hellson even used a few of his spells to beguile people, just to try the game out.

...

5 years later...

Not known by anyone else, Hellson can actually see what every player of the game was doing within the game. No matter where they go within the game, no matter what they do, even the words they say, he can detect all of it.

Hellson thought it was just going to be another boring day and thought, "It's been 45 years now. I suppose those a**holes stopped chasing me already. I do not want to bring a catastrophe to the realities I go to, so I guess I have to wait a little longer before I leave."

Just as he thought of this, he suddenly saw a very interesting person playing the game.

"Oh? Instead of just mindlessly killing the monsters or loot treasure, he actually spends time learning about the lore in the game that I made up? Interesting."

Of course, this player he got interested in was Jay, who was still a newbie back then

...

Another 5 years...

"Those players actually beat the final boss I've placed. It looks like I need to perform a final update on the game and add some more world bosses." Hellson said as he looked at a party of players in the game.

It was Jay (Roasted Boar), Bloody Harvest, Abyssal Angel, and Hot Buns.

"The last update will be my parting gift to you, Jay." Hellson smiled and chuckled as he reminisced about the times Jay doing everything he can just to learn about the lore he wrote.

Then suddenly...

"HELLSON!!! DIE!!!" A blackout happened inside the gaming company Hellson was.

"S**t! They found me!" Hellson cursed as he suddenly punched the air in front of him, revealing a phantom. He immediately killed it and just as he was about to use the Multidimensional Astral Gate...

"Sorry friend. But I have to do this..." The candidate that Hellson hired appeared in front of him and snatched the Multidimensional Astral Gate from him. This candidate that Hellson chose had a human-like body and was surrounded by a pink gas.

"What are you doing! Stop!" Hellson screamed, realizing the intentions of this candidate of his.

~crack...

The Multidimensional Astral Gate was shattered into dust. Hellson went furious and killed this candidate he picked, the one he hoped for to help them back at the Fatelord Plane.

"No...my plans..." Hellson was about to give up hope. He was now stuck onto this world with no way back home. Then he suddenly heard the millions of players chattering within the game, and he remembered that he was still connected with all of them through his spell.

"Wait... if I reverse engineer the codes I made and use my magic..." Hellson suddenly formulated a feasible plan but he did not know how it will end up.

...

--- Jay's Room ---

"Damn, my body feels so heavy." Jay Castle, a 28 year old shut-in said as he logged off of. "Good thing I ate some of that supplement stuff. Thanks to that I'm still not hungry. Guess I'll sleep." Jay said to himself after logging of from Dungeons and Towers of Fate. The moment he fell to sleep, Hellson suddenly appeared in his room and crept closer to him.

"Sorry Jay. But I promise to not let your death go to waste."

...

--- Mind Room ---

"Wait, what?! You tried to kill me during that time!??" Jay shouted at Hellson.

"Well, you're alive and kicking right now aren't you? Hahaha..." Hellson said happily as he looked at Jay.

"Anyways, through sheer luck and proper handling of magic, I managed to find a way back to the Fatelord Plane but ended up going back 10 years back in time. You're reincarnation was also an accident... and the Fatelords... think you are the candidate that I chose to help us..." Hellson scratched his head, admitting this mistake that he did.

"My reincarnation is an accident... an accident..." Jay kept repeating this phrase to himself while he had a ghastly expression on his face as he thought, "Damn you Hellson! So its entirely your fault why I am stuck in this game... I mean the world you live in."
