Danger In Bloomridge Town

Just around the moment Jay left Fisnar's Great Forest, the green dragon from before suddenly appeared on the place where Jay fought with the demon.

~Roarrrr...

There were still some wood elves within the area to clean up the mess and did their best to repair the damages done to the forest. Of course, when a green dragon suddenly appeared in front of them, they were scared sh*tless.

The moment the green dragon saw the destruction around him, he roared again to show his anger and frustration.

ROARRRRR!!!

"Damn it. It took me thousands of years to plant those trees..." The green dragon sighed and said these words in elvish tongue. After saying this, he opened his wings and flew up the sky to check if any other parts of the forest was also damaged. He then saw the destruction that Jay and the demon caused.

"DAMN IT! Why didn't those elves wake me up earlier! GODDAMMIT!" After shouting and roaring to vent his frustration, the green dragon decided to just repair the damages done. But just as he was about to do so, he noticed another major problem that occurred.

"Wait... where are my precious nature essences? I was pretty sure I scattered it around the forest."

...

~Achoo...

Jay suddenly coughed as he rode the Midnight Warhorse, not knowing that he caused a green dragon to be furious and frustrated. After riding for around a couple of hours, Jay arrived at Bloomridge Town which was still couple of miles away from the guild hall. Jay knew it will still take him around 2-3 days before he reaches the guild hall unless he remembers some treasure locations again.

...

--- Bloomridge Town ---

The town was really small compared to Greengarden which took up thousands of hectares of land. There were only around a hundred wooden houses scattered around and a town hall located at the center of the town. The town was also encircled by a stone wall which had four gates that served as the exit and entrance to the town.

...

Before Jay entered he town, he first turned the Midnight Warhorse back into monster essence since he wanted to keep a low profile. He just wanted to rest somewhere in the town before going back on the road.

While Jay was walking around the town looking for an inn to spend the night, he noticed that everywhere he went, people kept on avoiding him. Some of the people in their homes even closed the shutters of their windows the moment Jay passed by.

"Okay? This is weird... oh sh*t... I forgot about it." Jay thought in his mind and remembered something about Bloomridge town.

The one who governs the place was 'Queen' Amanda, a self-proclaimed queen who pretty much has a lot of grudges with the other queens of Wildergreene. But even if that was the case, she still serves as a loyal vassal for the kingdom. There was also a black knight called 'One' who visits the town pretty often and is rumored to have romantic relationships with the queen. As for the reason why Jay cursed on his mind, he remembered that during nighttime in Bloomridge town, a curfew is being followed and no one is allowed to walk around the city.

Up to this day, even with his ten years of experience, Jay still did not know what was up with that. So he was a bit nervous since something might happen again and he was just too tired to act carefully at the moment.

...

On the rooftops of the wooden houses...

Hundreds of men in hooded black robes watched and stalked Jay as he looked for a place to spend the night.

"Boss, can I get the 'loot' tonight? Pretty please?" One of the men in black robes said as he took out a sniper rifle from his spatial inventory and aimed at Jay.

"Sure. Knock yourself out. Just make sure you enjoy every bit of pleasure since only a few travelers pass by our town these days."

...

~Pew, pew, pew...

Jay already noticed the men stalking him the moment one of them took out the sniper rifle. The moment he tried to dodge the bullets, for some reason, his body suddenly started sinking down the ground. It was as if the shadows were engulfing him.

"Sh*t! A 7th tier is targeting me?" Jay thought in his mind since the skill he was currently targeted with was called 'Shadow Imprisonment,' a skill only 7th tier assassins or thieves can use. Not having any time to escape the shadows and the bullets due to his carelessness, Jay decided to use the Frozen Armor spell.

Due to the spell being imprinted onto his soul, the spellcasting time was instant and allowed him to survive the three bullets that was fired at him. And in order to escape the Shadow Imprisonment, Jay used the Lunar Wind Armor and blasted the ground near him, which caused the wind to repel him away.

"Whew. Damn it."

Just as Jay was about to kill those annoying people stalking him down...

~Clap, clap, clap...

Sounds of clapping suddenly came from behind him. When Jay looked at the one who was clapping, he was shocked.

"Prince Alfred?! Holy sh*t! I'm doomed this time around." Jay did not know what cursed luck he had for this day or if it was just karma.

Prince Alfred was known as the 'Traitor Prince' due to some crimes he committed. He was the eldest son of Queen Auburn. Due to the crimes he committed, he was exiled from the kingdom of Wildergreene. And that was around 5 years before the main timeline of the game started, 5 years before Jay got reincarnated in this world.

"Beautiful. Just beautiful." Prince Alfred said as he walked closer to Jay. He was wearing a plain jet-black robe and two cloaks that overlapped together. A red cloak underneath, and a golden cloak above. As for his facial features, he had short dark-blue hair and a dragon tattoo that crossed his left eye up to his neck.

"I suppose you've enjoyed that warm welcome to its fullest. But I'm afraid the queen is running out of time tonight, so I have to finish this up and enjoy the rest of the night, laying in her arms." Prince Alfred grinned evilly as he waved his right arm horizontally and hurled hundreds of poisoned needles at Jay.

'Frozen Eclipse: Circle form!'

Jay exclaimed in his mind as he used this skill. The skills from the Frozen Eclipse skill set that Lord Tygon taught him was just basically a single skill that had 3 different forms. Normally, if the skill is used without any of the three forms, it would just look like thousands of strings of white thread scattered around Jay. By using the circle form, the white threads will encircle Jay and freeze anything that comes into contact with the strings.

The reason why Jay used this skill instead of Lunar Wind Armor was because he knew that Prince Alfred's poisoned needles will keep on bouncing back and forth unless it hits the target it was aimed at, which is him.

~Sheewww....

A whistling sound came from the poisoned needles as they got frozen the moment they hit the white threads circling around Jay and broke into tinier pieces.

"Oh? Interesting. But not interesting enough for me to use my dagger." Prince Arlon said as he suddenly appeared at Jay's back and pricked him with a needle on his neck.

"WHAT?! How the hell did he escape my sights? Is he a divine being?" The Chicken Lord exclaimed deep within Jay and felt really guilty this time around. He did not even had time to warn Jay the moment Prince Arlon arrived at his back.

"No, he is just using an artifact..." Jay was just about to reply to the Chicken Lord before he felt his entire body go numb.

"Don't worry handsome, you won't die today. Not yet..."

Prince Arlon's voice was the last thing Jay heard before falling to sleep.
