Surrendering

"Put your hands up and get down on the ground! You are surrounded! If you try to escape, we will shoot!" shouted a woman. Cars, trucks, and helicopters full of soldiers formed a ring around the group. Hundreds of soldiers flooded out and got into position pointing their guns at each person. James put his hands in the air and got down on the ground. The others reluctantly followed and soon three soldiers pinned each of them down and restrained them. A sedative was injected into them and they all fell asleep. They were all placed into separate trucks and driven to the nearest airport.

Once at the airport, they were loaded onto a plane, given a fresh dose of sedative, and flown all the way to LaGuardia airport in New York. The trucks were unloaded from the plane and driven over Rikers island bridge into the Rikers island complex. Once inside, they were sent to their own cells and left until the sedative wore off. Once it did, they were forced to hand over their celestial weapons that were taken to a remote location that only two people knew of - the president of america and the transporter of the weapons.

James was interrogated by an uncountable number of people coming in from China to Sweden yet he didn't break ... only cracked little by little. After three years of interrogation, they finally gave up and the hunt for the remaining ability users came to an end.

A few days after the end of the war, Jack walked through the hallways of the sanctuary and heard some mumbling coming from inside a room. He opened the door to find Sophie and Kyle on the floor playing with a man with scraggly, black hair, black trousers, and a bunch of bandages wrapped around his chest. Jack brought out his scythe and put it to the man's neck. The man smiled, spoke three words, and disintegrated leaving Jack with the two children.

With barely any of it's gods and goddesses left, the realm of the gods fell into a state of calamity sending all who remained into the mortal realm in fear of a collapse. Some travelled to other universes, some went into the mortal realm, and one accepted their fate in the realm of the gods.

The omni-god limped along the corridors before finally reaching a white brick wall. They placed their hand on it and the bricks receded revealing a hidden room in which there stood a lone book on a short pillar and a picture on the wall ahead. The omni-god opened the book and flicked through page after page of photos of two small boys growing up together. Until halfway through where one disappeared from the photos without a trace. The book ended on the photo of the two boys grown up. One in a grave and one old and wrinkly sitting in a chair watching the sun set for the last time.

The omni-god closed the book and looked up at the picture of a woman.

"Sweet dreams, my beautiful Mary." they said as a tear fell. Their energy finally ran out and the transformation wore off. They reverted back to their original form. One with greying-blonde hair and a walking stick to take the weight off his chest wound. The realm began to collapse in on itself around him as he sat down clutching the book...
