The Missing Key...

Chapter 75: The Missing Key...

The god of the earth nation reappeared in a secret tunnel constructed directly under Emperor Dabill Wang's residence.

There was a secret space that gives access from the tunnel to the living room of Emperor Wang. The god was bleeding from his stomach as he stumbled into Emperor Dabill Wang's living room.

Emperor Dabill Wang was half-naked with only a towel around his waist and three human ladies around him who were all dressed in bikinis.

When Emperor Dabill Wang saw the state that the god of the earth nation was in as he stumbled into his living room he immediately told the ladies to go and get medical practitioners and equipment.

The god was in a sorry state but he still had his ethereal glow around him.

Each drop of blood would cause the ground on which it connected to, harden almost 100 times its usual hardness.

An unusual row of rising contour lines was spread around the floor on which his blood had dripped.

"My lord, What happened?" The Emperor finally got the chance to ask, after observing him for a few minutes.

"Your sister was in trouble, I went to help her to locate the skeleton organization, unknown to me they had triggered laser beams, they attacked with 3 laser beams, initially I thought it was just a normal laser beam, however, this laser beam wasn't normal at all, in fact, it had the power to kill a god. It was imbued with the blood of an elemental variant"

The god spoke with ragged breath. His breathing was somewhat erratic and every single word he said to put a strain on him.

"Elemental variant? They were supposed to be locked up in the netherworld, how could the skeleton organization get their hands on their blood sample, the blood is so deadly to elementals, it can even kill a god, no wonder you were in this shape, you're lucky to be alive!!" The emperor spoke with apprehension, his

initial good mood was spoiled now fear was creeping into his heart.

An elemental variant was the weakness of all elementals, especially the variant of a particular nation.

Their blood is like a perfect killing machine, especially when used to form weapons.

They are the failed or abominable nations that were also created in the netherworld alongside the elementals, it was discovered that they had the ability to wipe elementals especially when their blood was refined and mixed or poured on weapons, hence James Night decided to lock them up in the netherworld millions of years ago while he held the key to the netherworld.

The Key was taken from James Nights' secret chambers after he escaped from the ambush that the different elemental gods, united to create for him, and the key was taken by the god of the air nation who lost it when he was killed by Lancelot, however the exact location of the key was later discovered by the earth nation god after a few years, but between the period in which it was lost and when it was found no one could tell what happened to it.

Suddenly the god of the earth nation became aware of something and started to check his pocket, he searched his suit pockets thoroughly and his trouser pockets, he suddenly exclaimed as he tucked out his pocket, "Speaking of the netherworld, the key that I went with, the key to open the netherworld, it is missing."

He didn't know where to start to look for the key he had struggled all the way to the living room and could have lost it anywhere.

"Well, they can't open the netherworld right, or do you think, they planned it all to lure you out?" The Emperor asked as he thought about it.

The god of the earth nation was dumbstruck, "l used my powers to seal it in a pocket space around me, it must have dropped when the laser beams hit me. If they should get their hand on that key, the consequences would be dire, the humans would not need to go on an all-out war with us, they only need to press a

button to activate a long-range missile containing a drop of variant blood and send it to a community of elementals and it would be a massacre."

"We really need to find that key"

The emperor interjected.

"you think?" The earth god replied sarcastically.

The medical practitioners finally rushed in and started to attend to the god of the earth nation. Emperor Dabill had walked forward slowly, he needed to do something drastic otherwise, the kingdom he had so painstakingly built would be taken away from him, he took a glance at the weak state of the god of the earth nation before walking out and issuing commands.

Skeleton organization...

A feeble-looking man sat down at the headquarters of the underground base of the skeleton organization, his skull was almost showing through the skin of his head, no single strand of hair could be found on his body, his clothes hung loose on his thin bones.

He was hidden away out of sight, in a secret room, and normal agents of the skeleton organization were prevented from coming into that room, only the top leader and a few others had the authorization to access the room.

He looked around slowly, his eyeballs performed a full 360 degrees of their own accord.

Suddenly one of the leaders of the organization, the spectacle-wearing man with a checkered shirt and blue jeans trousers entered.

"Charles your blood is indeed effective, I've hurt the man you said would show up and I've obtained the key, what is the usefulness of this key anyway? What does it do?"

The spectacled man smiled as he spoke, he brought out a key that had an unusual green glow around it, there were black spots that formed after-images as it was moved.

"Kelvin Hays, I've not seen you in months, what brings you into my prison cell, " The skinny man said lazily as he looked at Kelvin with a wry smile.

"I've told you, a thousand times Charles, you're not in a prison. We had an agreement, you said you'd help me rid the world of elementals and I'll in turn release you and your family. The pint of blood you gave me has been extremely effective, especially when applied to laser beams."

"But now, we need more, we've totally exhausted every single drop from the pint of blood you gave us and without it, we can't wage war on the elementals."

Charles smiled, he had been playing with Kelvin Hays's intelligence so that he would take the bait and release his family in the netherworld.

If that happens, even the humans won't be totally safe, especially the half-humans who have the blood of elementals running through their veins . The variants would use human bodies to maintain their feeble life forms by transferring their consciousness into it, they can do this repeatedly as long as a human lets down his guard.

Charles had tried so many times to penetrate the consciousness of Kelvin Hays, but the man has a strong consciousness and is able to easily resist Charles.

Charles then decides on another plan, to draw all his brothers and sisters from the Netherworld.

He could sense the key on the god of the earth nation and since he had all the necessary information having being also birthed out of the netherworld, he was able to know the exact god whose aura he perceived and how to lure him out and obtain the key.

Now that the key was obtained, he just needs to play around with Kelvin Hays till he opens the netherworld himself and draws all the variants to the earth.

However, Kelvin Hays wasn't a fool either, he could sense the anxiety in the behavior and voice of Charles, from his experience in dealing with people, the more anxious one is, the more they want something, and in that state, they could do almost anything for it.

When he started to sense the little bit of anxiety in Charles he became suspicious, but Charles was playing it cool, trying to appear as if he wasn't interested, however, today's encounter totally gave him away.

Kelvin Hays was deep in thought as he pondered on the possible secrets the key could hold.

"That key could allow you to capture more variants like me and their blood would be sufficient in launching as many attacks on the elementals as you wish" Charles spoke lazily again, he had a sudden flash in his beady eyes but it was gone in an instant.

Kelvin Hays was tempted, "as much blood as I want? Tempting, hmmmm, What is the secret of this key, why should I open it and what door does it open to" Kelvin Hays asked again he didn't trust Charles, he asked to see if the answer would remain the same.

Charles's head was raised slightly, he was more like a talking zombie, his internal organs were moving more slowly.

The body he used was running out of vitality, he was dying, he needed to find another body, he didn't Intend to stay so long in this body.

Kelvin Hays wasn't easy to fool and to top that he has a strong consciousness. It was indeed a tough nut to crack.
