Ice Cream Delight

"What flavor would you like Luna?" Asked Konrad when they were walking towards the Ice Cream Parlour.

"Umm... Do you have money? We can wait for my dad, I'm sure he can buy for both of us." Said Luna. She didn't want to take advantage of the boy she just met.

"It's alright, I'll treat you. Now which flavor?" Asked Konrad smiling at her. She smiled as well and said-

"I'd like the vanilla desert with sprinkles!" She said what she wanted since yesterday.

"Haha alright. Ok sit here for a second I'll be back with the ice cream soon." Konrad said, helping Luna with her chair, and he went to Mr Florean to buy the ice cream.

Luna watched as the boy easily bought the ice and smiled seeing him buy two identical desert.

"Here you go." Konrad said when he returned with the ice cream.

"Thank you!" Luna said happily. She tasted the ice cream. "Mmmm! Its yummy!" She exclaimed.

"Haha you're right they're pretty good, but I had better in the muggle world actually" Konrad said truthfully. Luna was surprised.

"You went to the muggle world?" She asked.

"Oh yeah, I actually grew up there, there's a lot there wizards are missing actually." Konrad said.

"Wow, like what?" Luna asked very curious. Her parents aren't racist against muggles but they still kept to their community in the end.

"Hmm.. for example an amusement parks, a lot of cuisine from around the world, or technological advancements." Konrad said.

Luna was listening to Konrad very interested. She asked him about the things she mentioned and Konrad explained to her everything in details. Then she remembered that she still doesn't know his name.

"Hey so could I know your name now?" Luna asked.

"Haha right, my name is Konrad." Konrad said, he too, realizing he forget to introduce himself in the end. Luna missed the fact that Konrad didn't say his last name.

" Nice to meet you *hihi*" Luna said. Now she wanted to ask him the rest of her questions.

"Right how did you do this magic from before? And You are so shiny! Even more than mum!" Luna asked.

" oh that's because I was training magic for a long time now, learning magic was really hard at first because no one could teach me nor had I any books about it so I trained until I found Diagon alley. There I bought books about magic and I'm getting better day after day now." Konrad said a little proud of his achievement.

"Wow, it awesome!...but isn't that dangerous?" Luna asked. She knew that children in the magical world start training at eleven years of age and its supposed to be dangerous sooner.

"Haha! nope. They write in books about the danger but I know from practice that the danger comes from the young age and a child trying something dangerous or accidentally doing the spell wrong. That's why I trained by first learning to control my magic and my mind. Then when I had good enough control and good focus I would try any actual spells etc." Konrad started telling Luna about his training. She was very excited and hoped to also try it like him.

"Could I also do it like you?" She asked hopefully. Konrad smiled, he saw a strong ambition in the girls eyes. She was this young yet Konrad felt she was similar to Hermione, very smart and ambitious for her age. 'They would like each other...' he thought.

"Ha of course, you just need someone who could help you start." Konrad said.

Luna was really happy but then she thought about who could she ask. At first she wanted to ask her parents but she realized that they wouldn't help her, there is only one person who actually knows al of that, and he is sitting in front of her with a smile. She realized that he was talking about himself from the beginning.

"Could you teach me?" She asked curious what he wanted in return.

"Konrad smiled and said. "I don't know, I only teach my friends" he said looking her right in the eyes. Luna became discouraged at those words. She never had a friend because everyone always picked on her and thought she was weird, there was also not much children her age around their house and Ginny Wesley, the only witch her age she knew was only an acquaintance to her, they never got to know each other better.

"Would you like to be my friend?" Konrad then said with a gentle smile seeing Luna's sad expression . Luna perked up on those words. She couldn't believe that someone wanted to be her friend but when she saw Konrad's warm smile, all doubt disappeared.

"Yes! I'd like that very much! Please be my friend!" Luna said a little teary eyed.

Konrad smiled "Then from now on we are friends! Haha. I can't wait to introduce you to my other friend, I'm sure you're going to like each other." Konrad said happily.

They chatted for a while getting to know each other better. They already planed their future meetings, and Luna couldn't wait to start training. Konrad explained to her Occlumency and was surprised when she closed her eyes fo two minutes and said "done" he didn't know how but after a few questions and a weak leglimency he learned a few days ago, Konrad confirmed that Luna completed the mind library. 'How does her mind even work?' Konrad thought. She did it almost as fast as he did with his extreme memory.

Soon Xenophilius showed himself as well, apologizing for taking so long to come, but he was so fascinated with the animals, that he didn't see how the time passed. He was really surprised and happy learning that Luna made a friend, and started bombarding Konrad with questions.

Konrad was at first worried of this talk, but Xenophilius wasn't asking any dangerous question and only asked about Konrad's likes and if he thought that a lemeyan dragon was real or asked about some muggle conspiracy theories. Arranging visits was easier than Konrad expected. Konrad could visit whenever he wanted and Luna would side apparate with one of her parents, when she would visit Konrad.

Konrad thought that Xenophilius was a nice, a little weird but not stupid person, who understood that Konrad had his secrets and wasn't persistent or anything. He had this weird way of thinking that caused Konrad to believe he wouldn't need to do anything even if Luna's dad knew about Konrad's magic talent. He would just need to ask him to keep it secret, and you wouldn't make him say it even under crucio.

Xenophilius saw the boy and thought, 'He's very smart, and has many secrets, but I can feel he's a good person haha, he's a good match for Luna, Oh I'm so happy for you Honey!' Yep those were his thoughts after talking with Konrad.

After Xeno bought another portions of ice cream and they ate them to celebrate Luna new friend, He decided to bring Konrad to their house for a visit. Konrad quickly did his business in Gringots smiling after hearing that his money was estimated to at least double in one year, then he came back to the waiting Lovegoods and they took the floo to the Lovegood house.

"Come! I'll show you my room!" Luna grabbed Konrad's hand and dragged him upstairs after introducing himself to Pandora Luna's mother.

After the kids were gone, Mrs Lovegood looked at her husband.

"Are you crazy! Bringing a seven years old boy without even telling his parents?" She asked her husband. Xenophilius knew that a long explanation was awaiting him "sigh".

While Xenophilius was explaining To his wife that Konrad was alone in Diagon alley and his guardians were muggles that trusted him to go out for the entire day alone, Konrad was spending time with Luna, teaching her everything he could about how he trained. Luna was really sucking all the knowledge he taught her excited and more and more interested. Konrad woke in her the desire to learn that he and Hermione had and she didn't want to stop. Sho was really excited when she learned that Konrad could also see magic like her, even if not as strongly. She felt more connected to him. In the end the kids spend over three hours chatting and playing together and really created a strong bond with each other.

At some point Pandora came to see the kids, and was really surprised with how happy both of them looked. The last fragment of anger she felt at her husband disappeared, and she thought that he made the right decision in his weird fashion. She was curious about this child too. How did a wizard child who grew up with muggles could find Diagon alley himself, she wanted to investigate it but Xeno told her to drop it cause he trusted the Kid. As she saw the two happy kids he decided that he was right once again. Why messing with something when it's already perfect she thought looking at the children playing with an animated dragon figurine laughing happily.

Konrad came back with the Floo straight to Diagon alley and from there he aparatted back home. As he lied on the bed he thought about how a boring day changed so much just because he made a friend. He smiled thinking how tomorrow Hermione and Luna are going to visit together. ' hehe I wonder how they will react to each other." With a memory of a smiling Luna Konrad pated Cristal and fell asleep.
