Chapter 4

Satoru POV:

"The supernatural community of the world can be broadly classified into two categories; based on the energy they utilize to manifest their….well supernatural abilities. The one, jujutsu sorcerers like me and you (pointing to the brooding boy) use, is referred to as cursed energy (CE). The total amount of CE that can be used by a person is generally fixed from birth.

"Now, what is cursed energy? It is basically metaphysical manifestation of a human's negative emotions. So, basically every human being does produce CE. But only a select few can actually use it. Any questions?" I ask my cute little minions sitting in front of me and listening diligently.

Seeing them being so attentive to the lectures almost reminds me of my earlier lessons in the respective studies. Note how I said almost! Well, that's because I wasn't exactly a model student. Who am I kidding? I was a gigantic pain in the ass of my elders. Not that I aren't now. Especially considering I am here during the time I should be completing my mission.

Both my minions raised their hands. Tsumiki, I choose you. Ladies first and all that.

"You said only a select few can actually utilize CE even if everyone can produce it. Why is that?"

"Well, it can be due to a variety of reasons. But basically to utilize cursed energy a person needs to have a minimum required amount of CE, have a body with high enough output, a brain that can actually use CE as an extra limb, a strong enough soul, etc. Even if one of the above mentioned conditions aren't in order, the person isn't suitable for using CE. Understood? Any other queries?" Seeing her with a raised hand again, I gestured for her to continue.

"So, a cursed technique (CT) isn't necessary to utilize CE?"

"So smart!" I say while patting her head. Seeing her smile so brightly almost wants me to keep doing this forever. "Nope, CT or more specifically Innate CT is not a compulsory requirement. Before you ask, yes, the CT of a person is also generally decided from birth. Anything else?" Seeing her shake her head, I point toward the miniature version of my ex-arch enemy.

"Creatures I can see....they belong to which category of supernatural community?"

"Ah, those. I was coming to that actually. They are called cursed spirits. They are the physical manifestations of CE or more specifically the negative emotions of humans. The negativity of human emotions given form. When CE of an area is high enough and gets accumulated in a place, they come into existence."

"So, sorcerers are responsible for their creation?"

"How rude~~ to interrupt your sensei like that?" I poke him in his cheek, which makes him try but fail to swat my hand as I simply remove it before he could. Tsumiki giggles. "No, they are created due uncontrolled, subconscious release of the energy which is simply an impossibility in case of people like us. Because our brains are wired to keep the CE inside of our bodies passively without unnecessary expenditure. Any other follow ups?" He shakes his head in denial.

"Now continuing. Cursed technique is generally defined as an ability of sorts that is innate to some CE users that gives them an edge against other users. But, they in actuality are more like inner representation of a sorcerer. For a demonstration, look at those two cans over there" Pointing my palm to the empty cans placed on the table, far corner of the room. "Watch" One of the cans get pushed over the table and later, the other gets crushed. As this occurs, very quickly Tsumiki stands up start clapping making my usual smugness get amplified.

This is it. The innocence of childhood. Even after going through what they did, she still retains it. And this is what I aim to protect. No one should go through what we did. Youth is a phase that should be enjoyed as carefreely as possible.

"I see. So, the first one was direct application of CE, i.e., directly releasing it outward. And the second was probably a use of your CT, as I could see/sense from the…..light/flash maybe that was generated when you used it." He can already sense the spark generated in CE from use of an application of CT. "So, CE is like petrol and CT is an engine that uses the fuel to, continuing the analogy, produce the effect of the vehicle moving forward." Just imagining the faces of the Zenin clan members, if they come to know what I stripped their clan of, brings a smile to my face.

"Exactly." Ignoring the look of admiration his sister is sending towards Megumi, making him embarrassed. Shy, are we? I continue with a grin on my face. "Hey, Gumi-chan." Ignoring the cute annoyed look, he puts on display. "You don't supposedly know your technique yet, do you?"

He's already six. And considering the massive amount of CE he has and its weird property, it will be a real shame and near impossibility for him to not have a CT. Afterall they do manifest within a person in-between the age of 4-6 mostly because that's more or less when the brain is successfully able to comprehend the knowledge available to it, even though info of the said CT is present inside it from the birth.

"Yeah actually, I think this is how it should be" He makes a hand sign using both his hands that resembles…oh shit, is it? Can I actually be that lucky? I watch with utter fascination as the shadow generated due the hands come alive resulting in two huge dogs on his sides, as he completes his chant, "Divine Dogs".

"Hahahahaha" Ignoring the cooing of Tsumiki as she pets the dogs as large as her and the look of 'he's gone mad' that Megumi is giving me, I go into a full blown laugh. "I stole the crown jewel of Zenin clan. I have the only know rival of my Limitless with me, the Ten Shadows Technique user."

"Huh!"

"Huh!"

"Hmm?" Oh yeah, they shouldn't know about it! "You see the name of my CT is Limitless, which basically allows me to manifest the concept of infinity into reality." Ah, I can literally feel the increasing volume of my smugness when they look at me unwavering admiration. Wait a sec! "You two understand what infinity is!!" Even I only knew about these things because my clan found out about my CT.

"Well" answers Megumi. "Both of us had nothing to do except study since we were mostly left alone by our respective parents at our houses whenever they would go out to do whatever it was, they did." Sensing her mood plummet, I move to pat Tsumiki's head which instantly results in brightening her up. Aw, what a cute little fairy I got. Moreover, the dogs move towards her rubbing themselves in her face. "So, what were you telling about my CT?"

"Hmm?" Trying to divert the focus, huh? "You see the clan of your father and my clan, Zenin and Gojo respectively, don't get along. More like hate each other. Even though there always have been conflict and competition between the three major clans of Jujutsu, these two clans have a serious rivalry surpassing centuries. Moreover, even though the rivalry always existed between the clans, it actually peaked during…umm, I don't really remember the era but a Six-eyes and limitless user like me and a ten shadows user like you duked it out and killed each other in the process." Now, this causes a surprise. And makes Tsumiki look at her brother with an excited face, causing her brother to gain a slightly embarrassed look that anybody would have missed without my eyes.

"Wait a sec; was the then user of your CT as strong as you?" See, this is what I'm talking about. Anybody can mug up and memorise the content of a book but this level of presence of mind & the ability to instantly analyze situations, moreover at this age is simply unprecedented.

"Nope, not even close." Should I test it? "Though, what made you question it?"

"Well, when I finally was able to use my CT, it felt like an instinct, like moving a limb. But if you really think about it, moving a limb does not actually become an instinct out of nowhere. When we were babies, little by little as we try to move and as our body develops, it is then we create our instinct. But in reality, it's the brain that finally is able to fully understand the functionality of the said limbs. A left-handed person generally isn't just left-handed by itself. It's actually the years of habit or how he/she perceives the world that makes a person left-handed. Sometimes, it's also the people or environment around the person that influence it." The more he speaks the more he reminds me of a person that I once was very close to. Who unlike me wasn't a brute, but an extremely smart and efficient sorcerer; and just like Megumi, a fellow shikigami user. "Now all of this together makes up for the habit or behavior of the person or in this case, his dominant hand. Considering that CT is a part of body, it's representation and use may vary from person to person even if they utilize the same techniques or moves." He finishes giving me an expectant look.

What do you want from me now? What exactly can I say that will explain the level of brilliance displayed in front of me? And people used to call me a genius. Heh, though I suppose I am. But, if mine is a case of genius, then how would I define this creature. No, I know how. This isn't just a genius of jujutsu which he showed when he displayed the efficiency and control he has over his CE while summoning his shikigami. No, this is a monstrosity on a totally different scale. If I was the one that shifted the balance of the world, then he will simply destroy the entire game that the old asses of this world like to play with. And maybe, just maybe you, Megumi Fushiguro, are what is needed to bring the change I want in this rotten world. Though, I suppose first you have to rise above the ceiling of the current world, Me.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
