Flash Forward

As the harsh rain pattered against my cloak the wet grassy dew filling my boots with mud I stood firm as I came to blows with King Lucious I. As our armies battled it out at the final battle known as God's Hand. I began to change my battle stance as the wind began to blow across my face harshly. "King Excalibur so it's come to this? Our final battle here at God's Hand seems like a fitting place for thee for ye are not a Christian but a pagan born in a world where Christ is true and just."

"Lucious, We once battled side by side as brothers, rivals and friends now you stand against me freeing my people from slavery? Why?" "Because my old friend you have to realize our kingdoms would be nothing without slaves at our boots making hard labor cheap and affordable without risking precious christian lives. The people are weak and afraid of brigands and pirates we offer them peace, security and justice from such rabel. We are their liberators their salvation and these dark times."

Lucious hearty and manically laughed as he shifted his stance and raised his sword. "This battle will decide the fate of the world to come will your ways suffice my old friend? Or will the might of christian loyalty succeed as it should?" I just stared at my lost ex best friend as my heart pounded rapidly beneath my breastplate I could feel the crushing weight of what I might have to do and deep down it did not sit well with me. However, I knew I couldn't allow what he was doing to continue I must stop him. I slightly lost grip on my sword and that's when Lucious attacked me.

I quickly parried his first attack but only barely as I jumped back and my sword for some reason felt heavy as if it could actually feel and regulate my emotions. "Are you alive?" I whispered to my sword as I struggled to lift it back up in time for another parry. I began to breathe heavily as I fell to one knee. "Come on Excalibur is that the best you could do? I'm disappointed in you. Well say goodbye to your dream. DIE! I looked up at my adversary and smiled.
