CHAPTER 22

"Ky!" Mrs. Ellie's voice streaked with nervousness as she tried to calm down her husband when Kythem enter the house.

"Daddy!" she stammered after seeing her father's quiet reaction to her, knowing that his father's anger was still trying to calm himself.

"An hour later you'll fly to the US! I'll just let your other stuff send after." Mr. Cristian calmly told this to her, she didn't expect to reach this level from her father.

"Dad let me explain first!" she said in the lowest soft kind of voice.

"You don't need to." her father calmly replied.

They were stunned when Reig suddenly entered, still panting from the haste to get here.

"I'm not leaving! I'll stay here." but Kythem insisted on answering this to her father.

"Watch yourself, Kythem De Castro! What are you doing?"

Mr. De Castro exclaimed these words and could no longer control himself to get angry.

Veira had just arrived and heard it, so even though she was scared, she tried to resist it.

"Uncle please calm down!" Reig chid him.

"Uncle doesn't be mad at Kythem because I'm the one who causes all this, so you should be mad at me!" Veira countered.

"So all this time you all know about this and you're fooling me. You were able to disobey my command?" her father angrily asked them while Mrs. Ellie still tries to calm him down.

"You know what you did was dangerous. Tell me, why did you still do it?" Mr. Cristian still asking them in a forceful tone. Knowing that he does everything to protect his daughter from all possible harm. He doesn't know where he's skipping.

"Do you want to know?" they were surprised when Kythem change her tone into bitterness.

"Because of both you!" her voice streak, she was sarcastic while uttering these words.

"It doesn't mean that I smile at you every time I follow your nasty rule I am fine with it. Just to know it, I'm not happy from the start!" she bitterly add but her tears can't stop fall in down to her cheeks.

"I am not complaining about all the luxuries you give me. But you didn't even ask me what I truly want, you always wanted me to fulfill your want. I am your child." she pauses after wiping her tears.

" You don't even know what my favorites?"

She said while still wiping her tears and try calming herself from these feelings of loneliness.

" I will send you still to the US no matter what reason you will say, there's nothing your boy...boyfriend can do!" but her father still didn't twirl his true feelings.

" You still haven't considered my feelings. You don't even know that Aikee almost harassed me but it's good that Kyle was there. Kyle was one of the reasons why I was happy and I forgot that I had parents like you." But Kythem was still defending herself and her boyfriend which is why her father almost slapped her face for answering like that.

Even Reig and Veira pause their breath for a while seeing Mr. De Castro's hand want to land on Kythem's face but Mrs. Ellie stops it.

"I am jealous of another family because their children can run to them whenever they have a problem. Sometimes I asked, how does it feel to cry in your parent's arms while telling them about the things that made you upset."

"I grew up keeping my problems to myself, locking myself in a room, and crying silently. I grew up without my parents knowing their child is sad and lonely at night! I understand that you work for me but your child wants to feel like having parents by their side. So you can't blame me if I don't see that in this house my parents didn't exist anymore." Kythem continues to share her side with her parents who were surprised by what they found out about their daughter.

"But even so, I still try to take understand it because I love you." she continued as her tears continued to run down her cheeks.

"But it was suddenly disappeared because I was disappointed with both of you. Knowing that my parents were betraying each other." but her unfortunate face suddenly turned to anger. "So I have a reason not to follow your order!

I will stay, here!" she still emphasis and turned to walked up to her room.

They were surprised by what their daughter told.

They did not have the strength to resist after they found out that their daughter knows about such things.

"I know what you're talking about my daughter but you're wrong in what you're thinking!" Mrs. Ellie said so Kythem stopped ascending the stairs.

"I'm not fooling your father. The boy who answered your call to me back then was Seth, he's your brother." her mother confesses gently, so suddenly all her emotions get blank.

"He is your older stepbrother Ky. I always have nothing here because I was watching him while treating his condition. He was suffering now a stage 3 cancer in his blood!" still said of Mrs. Ellie to her daughter who was surprised, Reig and Veira were surprised to know it.

"Older step-brother?" she turned her eyes in her mother's direction and was still surprised while asked this.

Mr. Cristian helped his wife explain these things to their daughter.

Kythem finds out that she has a step older brother who is now still treating her illness which is why her mother is always absent from her.

Seth is the son of Franc who was the first boyfriend of her mother, who has now passed away. She also discovered that Mr. Vicenzo Razon, Mr. Lyz Franc Cortes is her mother's youth bestfriend.

They kept it a secret for a long time to protect the safety of their family and keep their name.

But what Kythem didn't know about the parents was that it would be a long time before they could accept each other. Ellie and Christians only got married because of their parents' wishes and in the name of their wealth so they both give up their feeling with their every first lover.

Mr. De Castro no longer shared his side with his daughter as to why he was back then a martyr in love. He just played with other women again, because of the woman who made him change lost forever. The woman was already taken also for someone else. He did not accept that so he made such a decision in life but he could not fully imagine that Kythem witnessed that, as a reason for their daughter to become more distant from them.

Veira and Reig did nothing with the decision of Kythem's father even Mrs. Ellie to settle it abroad. Kythem locks herself in her room and no one can enter there unless she opens it and only the food can enter which also enters the intended food passage elevator to her room. She forced herself not to eat and starved herself because of the annoyance she felt with her father.

Her father also took her cellphone, she had a computer but it disconnected on the internet. But while this, she is still thinking of a way to contact Kyle. Even though she wanted to eat the food she was facing she restrained herself even though she was jealous of the little white flag that stood on her favorite cheeseburger.

Until she remembers one thing that caused the smile and joy to wrap around her lips. She quickly ran over to her bookshelves where she had a secret little drawer there. She didn't have a hard time opening it and took a box with a cellphone that she would have given to Veira but was not accepted because Veira said she had given a lot so she just hides it there.

"Don't worry, Reig says Kythem is in good hand!" Lester said after tapping his friend on the shoulder because he had been ignoring deep thoughts.

"I am still worrying her!" Kyle still answers it.

"Can I borrow your cellphone, I forgot what else they were buying me, I left my cellphone in the room!" Lester said.

"At the boarding house too, I charge it," Kyle answered.

"What are they said?" Lester said to himself as their board mate ordered him to buy something.

They are now inside the University's mini-mart for groceries.

"Excuse me, are you Mr. Kyle Chavez?" but they stopped looking at the purchased product when someone asked.

They noticed that the three men were in the same dress, it was formal and looking like a personal bodyguard of a wealthy businessman.

"Mr. Cristian De Castro invited you to see him for a moment! " but the person who asked him only said after seeing the identification he was carrying to confirm that it was him.

Kythem memorized her boyfriend's phone number so she called Kyle over and over but no one answered. She even tried to call Veira, her bestfriend also not answering. So she drops her phone for a while.

Until she suddenly received a message.

(Hello, Ky sorry for not answering.

I know where is Kyle.

He's drunk, he wanted to see you now.)

This message comes from Veira.

She wants to see her boyfriend too but she can't go out because her father forbade her and the guard has closed their house.

It has a secret passage in her room towards the back of their house but she knew that someone was still guarding there and her father had changed the passcode.

Despite this, she still tried to open it but she failed.

She still tried to think about the possible passcode of the door even though she had no clue.

She guessed and press all possible numbers for the six number passcode. She was determined to open it even their no hope but she has no reason to give up. She tried again and again.

Until she was startled when the door was open.

She didn't even know what she had pressed but she spelled it out for a moment. The passage she would have turned out of the door when she saw her servant.

"What are you doing? You're in danger outside!" Whispered her servant to her.

" I want to see him Nanei. This is only my chance to see him. I didn't know I might be in another country tomorrow. This is the only way Nanei. " But her just explanation.

" But it's dangerous .. "her Nanei said ( mother ).

" Please Nanei I'm will just in a moment. Help me! "

She knew that her servant would tolerate her and she not mistaken, her Nanei helped her.

To get out of the gate she disguised herself as a servant also in their house. Together with her Nanei, they pretended to throw garbage outside where they gather there just to be picked up by the garbage truck.

Even full of nervousness that wrapping around their bodies that they might get caught but they could easily pass the eight bodyguards who were on duty at their back gate.

Back inside the gate, it was only her servant enter so when the guard noticed, so she suddenly stopped.

"Where's the one that tags with you?" she knew it would wonder where her companion didn't tag her.

"On the other side of the gate she will enter Sir because she will buy a sanitary pad!" she prepared to lie and she knew this reason would work.

While Kythem waiting for the taxi, a motorbike stopped in front of her.

"Where are you going brat princess?" Aikee opened up to her.

At the University.

Even though Veira's fellow students are still talking about her best friend she has never new with these types of people because they are the people who are the reason why life events have been so exciting.

Good or not good feedback from them she knew this issue about her bestfriend would also pass. She still doesn't lose her fear about Kythem's safety.

She taps her forehead because she blames herself. After all, if she doesn't consent, it won't end like this. And still, she was upset knowing that during their time together they didn't even mention to her what the real problem was about with her parents. What kind of accompanied her to Kythem. She only knew that her bestfriend was alive into laughter, even mischief, happy go lucky not the Kythem she had seen earlier speaking in front of her parents.

In her mind, she was a very worthless bestfriend.

After a while Veira sees Carol having fun with the other man she chose over Kyle. Veira thinks that where Carol left the two then everything became more complicated again.

"Are you okay?" Lyka asked her after seeing such a reaction. "Your cellphone, you just left it there in the lady's room," said Lyka as she handed the cellphone back to Veira.

"Where is Munic?" but she just asked where is the one they were with was.

"She said she will meet someone, but she didn't say whom. Let her go first, she will meet for sure her boylet!" but Lyka jokingly replied to her.

Kythem was the first to enter the said bar. Aikee brought her here. She was looking for Kyle because she received a message from Veira that she was drunk and looking for her. "Ky- Kythem?" but she stopped when someone recognizes her. It was Vins and there seemed drunk.

The music was in a soft instrumental mode so it wasn't loud and people could still hear each other.

"Are you looking for me? Do you already love me?" Vins asked her abruptly.

"Hehe. I'm just kidding!"

She just understands the man because she knew Vins was drunk.

"Did you see where Kyle is?" Kyle asked the man instead.

"Why him? I'm here Ky! Why is he still Ky? You can't see me because, Kyle, it's just Kyle all the time. He's always the reason why your eyes are always in tears. Why is he still? I love you so much Kythem. " because of the alcohol that Vins drank he was reluctant to admit how he felt about this woman.

"Vins, you're drunk! Can you ..." but Kythem just said to him but Kythem didn't expect Vins' lips to touch her lips.

The more she tried to separate herself from the man, the more Vins had the strength to kiss her lips. Kythem forcefully dislocated herself and at that moment she did but she didn't think that suddenly someone punched Vins in the face which caused Vins to fall asleep.

Kythem saw in Kyle's eyes how angry it was.

She would have to explain but Kyle left her.

So Kythem followed him to explain and they left Vins who was already asleep due to Kyle's forceful blow to his face.

Enough to say that 'don't touch my girl!'

"Kyle wait, let me explain!" she was still speaking and they were already outside the building.

"What else Ky, I saw it!" but Kyle said and it raised his voice, so Kythem surprise it.

"That's it, why are you still angry?" Kythem asked him calmly. "So what, I'm just pretending to be okay. I see my girlfriend kissing another man?" Kyle turned to him.

"Kyle you know I didn't like that!" Kythem replied,

"Like it or not, you're still kissing!" Kyle intensely said to her because he could no longer bear the weight he was feeling. "Vins and I didn't even kiss! Are we just repeating ourselves about it?" Kythem was also annoyed with him so she didn't think that the tone of her speech had been raised too.

"So what's that?" but Kyle still insisted so she just stumbled upon it in annoyance.

"Sorry Ky, but what you see is meant nothing!" she still said but Kyle stop and turned his eyes away with wrapped anger with it.

"So you don't believe me? Am I hard to believe?" she is in tearful question.

"Is it hard to love me?" but Kyle immediately asked her.

Kyle couldn't help himself to cry especially when he thought Kythem would say that he was really hard to love.

"Why are you like that?" She no longer knew what the young man was thinking why he was like this now.

"Why can't you answer? Tell me the truth that you're having a hard time with me."

Kythem just burst into tears when her boyfriend thought of her like that.

"So because I'm like this, will you leave me too?" he more of it. "I'm not saying anything like that?" Kythem answered him and rasped the voice from crying.

"But that's what you want to say!" Kyle still insisted on her. "Hey, jerk! What did you do to her?" Aikee shouted and asked when they saw their situation.

"Kythem are you okay!" streak in its voice the concern.

"I ran away from the house because I wanted to see you but I didn't expect that this will the thing I can witness. I choose to love the person who hasn't finished his past yet. I love a man who still has a trust issue from his past!" Kythem just said to Kyle instead of answering Aikee's question.

"So you're having a hard time, you're leaving me too?" but Kyle still asked her.

"Let's just talk if you're okay?" Kythem said and hailed a taxi and left the two.

As the taxi drove away, Kyle felt guilty because annoyance and anger were what he was thinking.

Even though Kythem felt heavy because of their argument, she chose to leave first because she knew they couldn't resolve this issue. After all, they were both still hot-headed, she would just talk to Kyle when they both calmed down.

" Nobody else. I only want you Kai!" and she's hoping that Kyle would see her the same.
