Chapter 15: A Fine Round Of Decency

The Master Bathroom, The Kennison Estate, Latimer Ave, Baltiney, New York...

Hot steam filled the bathroom as the multi-billionaire Ken Ryker stood beneath the heated showerhead as it pelted his weary naked body with ample water soaking him from head to toe. His messy black hair had been wild amid the soaking as he leaned his head against the tile of the shower. He had known he'd be late to work this morning and had made it a point to ignore the numerous calls from his father that lit up his cell phone as well as the obvious calls from a rather relentless Valencia despite his insisting that she not contact him again. He'd still been furious about her breaking their agreement and the fact that she'd taken it upon herself to trick him into getting pregnant when she knew how he felt about it.

He had been accustomed the their arrangement of sorts and it had been quite an adjustment not finding himself awakening in her bed at the turn of the morning. He had not seen why she had to be so needy when it came to him, they had agreed on a sexual arrangement and that was all it had been. Ken hit his fist against the tile as he continued to let the heated water cascade down his back.

This mess had not been what he signed up for when Valencia first got his attention back at the club. He had been more interested in having a one-night stand with her and moving on but he found himself infatuated with having sex with her. She'd been the best lay he'd ever had at that time and his mind had been made up to repeat the experience as much as possible without all the strings attached. He'd been honest with her and she'd apparently been lying to him possibly waiting it out in a bid to change his mind.

Ken rolled his eyes as he turned his attention to finishing up his shower following all the steam filling the rather elegantly designed white marble bathroom. The decore had not been his style nor choice as he recalled vaguely that his late wife Sera Kennison, had been the one to design everything about the house, he had simply been happy in those days to come home and find her waiting for him after a long day at work.

Ken sighed as he stepped back from the shower, turning off the water as he attempted to step out into the cold air of the large bathroom. His house had been like something seen in the movies for the most part, a mansion by all accounts but it had been empty aside from his frequent visits and occasional meddling when his father's servants looked in on him. In the old days, Sera had not liked the idea of live-in servants and kept the house up herself when he'd been at work and their children at school.

Ken hated being home alone, the echoes of his previous life had still haunted him no matter how hard he had tried to ignore them. It had been a nice house and everything seemed to continue on as if nothing happened with the boys' bedrooms and the nursery in the same condition they had been in when last they had been used by Sera and the boys. Only Ken's bedroom had been a mess until the maids and housekeepers came by to clean it up on his father's orders.

He never touched Sera's things, not even to donate them and spent most of his time lounging in the den or guest bedroom when he'd been home and never sober. He occasionally had ventured to his private office, the kitchen, and living room but much of the house and backyard pool had been ignored.

Ken stepped out of the shower, his body still dripping from the water as he moved into his bedroom a look of confusion and annoyance filed across his face once he entered with a drying towel wrapped around his waist as he came face to face with his very concerned and irate father.

KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

The Master Bedroom, The Kennison Estate, Latimer Ave, Baltiney, New York...

The angry expression that filled the face of Coleman Kennison had been accompanied by the all too obvious disappointment behind his blue eyes. His only son had become one of the biggest degenerates he'd ever known and it had not been through the fault of his rather strict and careful upbringing. He had been much angrier when he arrived but had calmed down a bit once he deduced that Ken had been in the shower.

"Jeez....Pop what are you doing here?" asked Ken defensively as he glared at his father annoyed that he'd been checking up on him again.

Coleman Kennison narrowed his already angry eyes at his only son.

"I have a better question for you son, why haven't you answered any of my or your mother's calls?" he asked his nostrils flaring in a further indication of his annoyance.

"I've been busy," replied Ken casually as he slicked back his wet hair and wiped a bit of the water from his equally soaked handsome face.

"You've been busy..." growled Coleman still not letting up as he approached his son with his arms folded across his chest. "Busy ignoring the fact that you're going to be a father after getting your little girlfriend pregnant and then abandoning her?"

Ken seemed to have been caught off by his father's knowledge of what happened between himself and Valencia.

"So she fucking called you?" he asked angry at the audacity of Valencia to go further behind his back and draw his parents into this. "Unfucking believable."

Coleman couldn't believe his son was the seemingly cold-hearted bastard standing before him.

"What is unbelievable is that you'd turn your back on your girlfriend in her time of need, she's pregnant for goodness sake Ryker what the hell were you thinking!?" Coleman continued laying into his son for his callousness.

Ken rolled his eyes hating that his father still called him that name and that he kept insisting that Valencia had been his girlfriend of all things.

"She's not my girlfriend," growled Ken angrily. "She's just a piece of ass that long outlived her usefulness, we had sex that was the extent of any relations between us, she went behind my back on our arrangement and got pregnant on purpose after stopping her birth control pills, I don't fucking owe her or her kid anything and I'm not the bad guy here she chose this on her own."

Coleman had been so angry he rushed Ken and grabbed him by his neck his hand wrapping around it as he glared rather murderously into his son's dark eyes.

"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU!?" he shouted heartbroken. "This callousness isn't you Ryker no son of mine would dare be so cold, whether Val is your girlfriend or not you still got her pregnant, she's carrying your child, my grandchild don't you understand that you have to do what's best for the baby regardless."

"You wanna deal with that lying bitch then be my guest, but that brat ain't my problem," growled Ken further angered that he'd been forced into this confrontation due to Valencia calling his father.

Coleman had been shocked at what he was hearing and as a result, had a bit of shocking information of his own.

"You are clearly not in your right mind and effective immediately I hereby suspend you from work indefinitely until further notice," he said in a cold tone of his own.

"What?" asked Ken in disbelief. "You're kicking me out and for what me not wanting anything to do with that bitch and her brat?"

Coleman released Ken, the look of utter disgust filed across his aged face.

"Until you learn to get your priorities straight I have no use for you at the office." continued Coleman still stern in his approach.

Ken had been trying his best to appear as if this had not shattered him not at all wishing to give his father or Valencia the satisfaction of his being affected by this in the least.

"Fine," he said bitterly. "I could use a vacation anyway if there's nothing else you can show yourself out now."

Coleman sighed as he looked over Ken one last time noting how he had not been moved in the slightest. His rage and heartbreak at how his only son had turned out so wrong had gotten the better of him and he'd said what he knew all too well that shouldn't before he could pull it back.

"It's a good thing Sera isn't here to see the way you've turned out," he said before noting the rather odd look on Ken's silent face.

Ken's dark eyes had been fixed on his father for what seemed like the longest time before he sighed and nodded.

"Yep a good thing," he replied before making his way back into the bathroom and slamming the door behind him.

Coleman felt lower than dirt for bringing up his son's dead wife and the look on his face had been haunting but his rage won out and he took his leave before he said anything more that he'd later regret.

Once the old man had gone Ken came out of the bathroom to an empty house and ventured toward his dresser where he pulled out a pair of clean black boxer shorts and slid into them after dropping the now-soaked towel that had been wrapped around his waist. He rummaged a bit more until he found a small purple baggie that had been hidden some time ago with a thin white powder inside.

"If you've got bad news and you wanna kick the blues..." sang Ken with something of a tragic smile filed across his handsome face as he held up the baggie in the sunlight. "She don't lie...she don't lie...she don't lie...Cocaine."

Ken headed toward his messy bed and plopped down on his back with the small purple baggie in his hand. He dug out a portion with his pinky finger and snorted what had been on his hand in one go. He took a few more hits and bitterly laughed until he passed out on the bed as the effects of the coke took over his sizeable cock had already been tenting his black boxer shorts.
