Jacob_Chapter#10(How Jacob Sartorius became a criminal)

"You think you are a God? You kill people , you destroy anyone's wealth, you kills one's family, you kill people just for your ego satisfaction, you are nothing but a notorious criminal and murderer," said Simon to the Jacob. "You think people love you, respect you but reality is that no one respects you. They are just afraid of your savage attitude and criminal behaviour," he added.

"The most difficult thing to earn in this world is respect, and you have lack of this thing , Jacob," Simon said again.

There was a pause. All silence. All calm and quiet.

"Do you think it is easy to kill some one?" Jacob broke the silence. "To bright like flame you have to burn like a candle," he continued, "and I am burning thoroughly, it don't make me glad to kill anyone."

A small pause again.

"Do you think I am a criminal inborn?" Jacob asked.

"I was not a criminal and murderer like anyone in the world. Everyone wants to live a simple and common life. No one wants to be a criminal at all," he had gone emotional.

"This society made me a criminal. This world made me a criminal," he cried .

"When I was born, my mom and dad, didn't like me. They called me a cursed boy. No doubt I was a naughty baby like the other babies and I also do losses just because I was child, but it doesn't mean that I was cursed. Was it my fault that they lost their business. It wasn't. Everyone has his own destiny and nature decides good or bad in one's destiny not you or me. Was it my fault that nature decided bad for them? Then, why they ever called me a curse?"he asked. But Simon was still silent, hearing his words quietly.

"But they always hated me. At last, they decided to get rid of me. They wanted to kill me. I was 9 years old, that time. They decided to throw me in the river. One day, they said we are going for a picnic at the, Siyras river. But when we reached, they pushed me into the river. They pushed their child into the river. Was it my fault?"he was yelling in pain inside him. Unknowingly, just one drop of tears flowed down across his face. It wasn't a single drop of tears but was the reflection of the storm of pain running across his veins.

"Unfortunately, I was caught by a baby sellar, who, with his men , saved me just for the purpose to sell me. There were more then 100 child in the boat. I was kept with them. He sold us to different places and different people. Me and Zaheer were sold in Xylan City, The City of Criminals, was it my fault to be sold out in the city of criminals?"he was indeed in a deep pain of being treated like a curse from everyone, even from his own destiny and nature.

Zaheer Sadam was Jacob's right had. They were also close friends. People used to tell the friendship tales of these criminals.

"We were sold to a big criminal of the Xylan City. He used to use us for his criminal works. He used to kill the boy who don't do his tasks. He killed a boy infront of us. Can you imagine what would be mind state of a nine years old child to see a boy killed infront of our eyes? That day , I decided to kill everyone who put me into this pain. I decided to give them too much pain that they had given to me.

"I killed all of them who did me so, and people began to call me criminal. Just because I had taken my revenge, that made me criminal?"he questioned.

"You think, I have no pains in my heart," he said, "Just you are full of pain?"he inquired. "Then, you are wrong. You think a criminal is a merciless monster but you never think who made him so merciless. I am bitterness of our society. I am a reflection of our society. One who wants to experience the society can see me how bitter and merciless a society had made me," Jacob was now an open book infront of Simon Hen. He could feel his pain. He was quiet now. Not a single word.

A quite long pause. Both of the men were silent. No more discussions and debates. No one knows how and what to speak now. Destiny makes a man quite helpless. Simon had no word to speak, "Why was the destiny so merciless on the Jacob?"he just thought.
