Angela POV

kilrrrr! Kilrrrr!!.. My phone rings out as I stretch my left hand to switch it off. I lifted the phone to my eyes and saw my best friend's name. I stood up quick as I pick without thinking twice. I know my friend so well, she won't let me rest until I pick the call and thank goodness she called, I have just 30 minutes to resume to my new office. My boss might not delt with me yesterday but he will definitely say something today. he specifically told me about his hatred for late comers. I picked my call, the second time it rang.

" Tiana, tell me you have a good reason for calling me this early in the morning." I said as I roll my eyes

" unlike you, I'm not so forgetful to know that today is your first day at work and I know you're still sleeping. Wouldn't you change your habit of late coming? you told me how you crossed line with your new boss and thank God, he didn't say anything against you yesterday instead he accepted you. I won't want to hear any complains today after work. Okay?" she said

" you know something, sometimes you behave like my Mom. aren't you supposed to be at work too boss lady?" I asked her

" see I told you I'm not forgetful like you. Well apparently, I'm currently at work sorting out some documents before my boss arrive this morning when I remember my lazy best friend. well enough of talking girl. get dressed quick and get your ass to the office" she ordered smiling to herself I think.

" Yes boss lady.." I mimicked her rolling my eyes at her bossy attitude.

"Don't boss lady me Ngela. you have just few minutes left. don't take your chocolate today pls. be professional for once honey" she jokily said as she knows I won't agree.

"well sweetheart I will get dressed ASAP but don't expect me to yield to that redicuious advice of dropping my chocolate. for why exactly? Will my boss check my bag or fire me for eating chocolate? madam get to work. I will call you immediately I get to the office. wish you success my love."

"You will never change. get out.. Love you babe" she hang up

Tiana is too impatient but when it comes to handwork, she is the best. I love her more than a friend. she stood by me when I had issues with my dad concerning my step Mom. well enough of the emotional breakdown when I need to get to work quick. I stood up and open my closet. picked out a well suited outfit to my first day cuz I want to look my best. A blue t-shirt with black suit trousers and black Heels.

After 15minutes, I'm done. I don't cook in the morning, not because I'm too busy to cook but i hate cooking. I only bake especially my chocolate ad kept them in the fridge to get enough ice.

After 30 minutes, I got to work breathing high to pretend that I was running to be here on time. i saw Maya who smiled shyly at me and nod her head towards my boss's office. I opened the door to see him typing something on his laptop.

"What did I tell you yesterday?" he asked without looking up or away from his work

" I'm sorry Sir, it wasn't intentional". I said looking down as well.

" Really? you were threatened or forced to come late. would you kindly enlightening me what made it unintentionally miss Collins?" He asked lifting his head to look at me

" I'm sorry Sir, it won't happen again. I promise.

" If you could mess up on your first day, then I don't think your presence is needed here again in my company". he said and went back to typing

I quickly went on my kneels and hold my hands up to surrender. " Sir, I'm deeply sorry. I swear it won't happen again. trust me sir." I said pouting

" Trust you? Haven't you heard that first impression last long Miss Collins?" he asked with loud voice

" I know vividly sir. it won't happen again. pls give me another chance. To be honest sir, I'm not an early riser from my childhood but I promise to try my possible best" I hold my chest

" so you slept off? well, let it be the first and the last time it repeat itself or else. I won't spare you". he ordered

" Sure sir. it won't happen again. thank you sir." I stood up quickly feeling overwhelmed

" Get out of my office and ask Maya to show you your new office." he screamed

" Yes sir. thank you. I said calmly and left the office shaking

I hit my head a little "Angela you almost lost your job, like Tiana said. I must try to wake up early." I promised myself proudly with little smile.

Maya showed me my office and OMG, is so mind-blowing and so spectacular. After few hours of working on my desktop. I saw a shadow coming towards my boss's office like a boss man who owns the company. I stood up in hurry and stretched out my hands to block the person from opening my boss's door.

I looked up at him angrily to his foolish attitude. he has a gray hair, dressed in a black shining suit which I know is somehow expensive. His face looks scary but I don't care, he crossed his boundary and he needs to learn.

" Who are you Mr? and who gave you the right to open the door? you saw someone siting close to the door and you still walked majestically to the front of the door like you own this place. aren't you suppose to ask before attempting to go inside?" I said as I stared him down challenging him with my eyes.

He chuckled wickedly at me. " well I don't mind" I said to myself I looked behind him and saw Maya shaking her head towards me with her hand on her mouth to shut up but I need to put this rude man to his place

" You don't know who I am? Well I should ask you who you are?" he stared at me like a lion looking at his prey

" Imagine? Well I'm Angela Collins. I will call my boss now" I pick up the telecom as I heard my boss voice from the other side

" Hello" I heard my boss voice and I know he's annoyed

" Sir, a man is here to see you" I said quickly before he get upset for wasting his time

" Who is that?" he asked with a hard voice

Faced the mysterious man " Your name sir?" I asked

" Tell him Frankio" he said smiling strangely

" He said Frankio" I told him but get shocked at his response as he screamed on the phone " What! my father!!... "

" You say?... " I looked at the man widely as I opened my mouth and eyes wide. yes I know I'm doomed( I thought to myself) as I calmly dropped the call and face the man smiling nervously

" I'm sorry sir, but you can go in now". I said nervously

he hissed and opened the door. Maya ran to me

" I was giving you signal to let him in but you ignored me. I pray you're save." she screamed out loud

" I pray so too Maya. have done enough damage for day. I pray he forgive me. but I wasn't wrong." i said trying to justify myself.

" Ahh Angela, no one is right in front of the Don himself."

" Don what? as in Mafia? Ahhh I need to die right now." I said crying silently when my telecom rang. I paused and looked at Maya who stared at me with fear. I answered it at the second ring with a shaking hands.

" S...i.. r?" I picked the call shuttering

" Your attention is needed in my office right now." he said loudly

" Yes sir" I said and drop the call. I hold my head

I walked calmly to the door, prayed a silent prayer before I opened the door. I saw the man siting on the couch as my boss is still seated on his chair.

" Well, Angela and Alex. I have a proposal for you." He said strangely calm.

" Which is Sir?" I asked nervously

" Get ready Angela, you are getting married to my son next week." He said bluntly and took out his newspaper to read

" You say....?" I stared widely at him. I know today is bas but I never imagined it would be this bad. Marriage ??????
