Chapter 1Dennis is Born

Delina's world narrowed to the excruciating pain ravaging her body. She lay in Medkals Hospital's labor room, surrounded by the antiseptic smell of disinfectant and the soft beeping of machines.

"Push, Delina! One more time!" a nurse urged.

With a final, exhausted effort, Delina gave birth to Dennis. But her relief was short-lived.

"Where's Frankie?" Delina asked, her voice laced with worry.

Kelly, her sister, hesitated. "He's...not here, Delina. Focus on your baby."

Delina's heart sank. Frankie's absence spoke volumes about his priorities.

As the medical staff attended to Delina and Dennis, Kelly took charge. She negotiated with a shabby taxi driver, securing a ride home.

"Get in, Delina. We'll figure this out," Kelly said, supporting her sister.

The taxi's worn seats and rattling engine reflected the harsh reality of their world. Delina's thoughts drifted to Frankie's reckless lifestyle and the burden Kelly shouldered alone.

As they drive away, to Thier destination.

After a grueling journey, they finally arrived at Starze Street, Thier destination, a decrepit slum shrouded in fear and neglect, suffocated by the gang's iron fist, late in the evening. The crumbling apartments, lined up like dilapidated sentinels, stood as a testament to the neighborhood's desperation. Shabby buildings, home to people from all walks of life, wore the scars of poverty like a badge of honor. Despite their tattered clothes and worn-out shoes, the residents went about their daily activities with a resilience that was both heartbreaking and admirable. Old and young women, men, and children hustled to make a living, hawking their wares to passersby or selling goods from carts and shops that ranged from ramshackle kiosks to seedy boutiques and supermarkets, each with its own unique brand of sleaze.

Across the street, a bustling market pulsed with activity, its patrons clad in worn yet neat attire, going about their daily grind. But the true hub of activity was the nightclub, a gaudy monstrosity that loomed over the street like a specter of debauchery. A group of roughnecks, their black attire a beacon of menace, lounged at the entrance, surrounded by women whose revealing clothes left little to the imagination. The line to get in was a parade of humanity, with people from all walks of life waiting to gain entrance, vetted by the two thugs standing guard. Meanwhile, the VIP parking lot was a testament to the club's allure, with luxury cars parked like trophies, their owners granted special access. The taxi driver navigated through the chaos, finally stopping at the block where Kelly and Delina lived. Kelly emerged first, then helped Delina out, signaling the driver to wait as she escorted her sister to a nearby bench.

Asking for the taxi driver's assistance. The taxi driver reluctantly agreed, his impatience palpable as he retrieved the baby items from the trunk. He showed a glimmer of kindness as he dropped them off at the entrance to their dingy, run-down apartment. Kelly helped Delina to the bench, where she sat down, exhausted. Kelly then rushed to assist the driver in unloading the cradle and other baby items, her movements swift and efficient. Once finished, the driver slammed the trunk shut, got into his seat, and drove off, leaving the sisters to their struggles. Kelly helped Delina into their cramped two-bedroom apartment, carrying her and some of the items. Delina weakly tried to assist, but Kelly waved her off. "Kelly, I'm okay," Delina said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Delina: "Let me handle the rest, Kelly. You've done enough. Besides, your hotel needs your attention." Kelly bristled at Delina's suggestion, but eventually relented, handing over some of the items for Delina to carry. Kelly herself lugged the baby cradle and other essentials, supporting Delina as they made their way to their cramped apartment. She unlocked the door and helped Delina settle in, finishing up with the remaining items. Later that night, Kelly was on a call, pacing by the window, when Delina emerged from her room. She smiled wryly at Kelly's frazzled state, then spotted the simple but satisfying dinner Kelly had prepared. Delina chuckled and thought to herself, "This is my sister, always looking out for me." She sat down to eat, savoring the quiet moment. Kelly ended her call, looking worried, and ran a hand through her hair in frustration before joining Delina.

As Kelly joined Delina at the table, Delina asked, her voice laced with concern, "Is it the hotel?" Kelly replied distractedly, her focus on the meal, "Just that same wiseguy giving me grief again at the hotel." She waved her hand dismissively, indicating it was nothing to worry about. Delina sighed, her expression a mix of frustration and resignation, and returned to her food.

Delina's face twisted in a mix of frustration and defeat as she returned to her grub, the weight of her mistakes crushing her. Abandoning the family business had left her sister to bear the brunt alone, and the guilt was suffocating. Knowing her sister shouldered the burden of their family's empire, while Delina was persona non grata due to her past betrayals, was a constant reminder of her failures.

The pain of her past mistakes still lingered, a festering wound that refused to heal. Her family's empire, built on deceit and corruption, had always been a curse. Now, her newborn son was destined to inherit the same legacy, and Delina couldn't shake off the feeling of dread. She worried about his future, knowing he'd face the same harsh realities she had.

But amidst the darkness, a glimmer of hope flickered. Her sister's love and loyalty would be a constant, a beacon of light in the darkness. Even if their family had disowned her, Delina knew her sister would always be there, a steady presence in her life.

Yet, a nagging thought lingered, refusing to be silenced. The secret her son would one day uncover, a secret that could destroy him. Delina's mind recoiled at the thought of his reaction, the pain and anger that would follow. She knew she had to protect him, to shield him from the truth. But how could she, when the weight of her mistakes threatened to consume them all?

As she pushed her food around her plate, Delina couldn't shake off the feeling of impending doom. Her son's future was uncertain, shrouded in the shadows of their family's dark past. She knew she had to find a way to break the cycle, to spare her son the pain and suffering she had endured. But for now, the weight of her mistakes remained, a constant reminder of the harsh realities she inhabited.

Limitless The Strongest Revenant

"If you intended to die anyway, don't die quietly like a pussy! Go out in a fucking blaze of glory!" That was the statement that changed my world forever. I was a loser in life. I died and got reincarnated into a Revenant. Revenants were people who defended the living from the dead. In exchange for a second life, they had one task and were blessed with one cheat ability. The task? To kick as much zombie ass as possible. Unfortunately, my cheat just made me "Rewind". It didn't give me super strength, speed or the ability to fly. Hell, it didn't even give me a way to fight! Without any way to kill zombies, I nearly died on my first day on the job! Back then I remember crying and puking all over the place like a little bitch. But while I started out like a little bitch, I didn't stay one. Dying full of regrets changed me you see. So much so that I made a promise. I refused to repeat my mistakes when I was human. Reborn as a Revenant, I will never bow down to anyone ever again. Unfortunately, these Revenant bastards were old school. Like they hacked zombies with swords and all that crap old school. As a man born in the USA, I saw no reason why I needed to follow their outdated way of thinking. The modern world had the superpower of gun powder and lead. So instead of swords, I came after every zombie I saw with guns. Like countries in the middle east, I proceeded to blow the motherfuckers to kingdom come. And surprisingly because of "Rewind", I found out I could never run out of ammunition. $200 for each kill. Hefty bonus for each area of hell liberated. What scared normal people shitless suddenly allowed me to earn millions every day. The richer I got the more "Freedom" I could unleash! Mortars, tanks, air strikes to even nukes. Backed by modern science and technology, I slowly but surely drove the undead back. Along the way, I met and saved seven heavenly beauties. And all of them fell in love with me. They were a little obsessive, scratch that, they were all fucking insane. My precious harem was comprised of nothing but Yanderes in every sense of the word. Still, I would willingly burn the entire world for any of them. For when I called, only my battle harem answered. And that was even before I learned of another secret. Exchanging bodily fluids with my girls gave me their cheats. Suddenly, in contrast to every Revenant in the world who only had one, I alone wielded eight. One from each girl plus my own. And so unfolded my 2nd life. Which eventually became my legend. Who am I you ask? I was born as John Smith. But these days not even my girls use that name. Both on Earth and in Hell everyone else just calls me Limitless. And I am the Strongest Revenant. *************************** Author Notes: Harem size: 7 | No NTR | No Yuri | No Grape Novel Focus: Action, Adventure, Urban Fantasy, Reincarnation, Dark, Weak to Strong, Battle Harem, Beautiful Heroines, YANDERE Heroine, Military, Loyal Subordinates, Kingdom Building, War, Politics, Conspiracies, Overpowered, Face Slapping, Tragedy, Character Development, Multiple POVs, Betrayal, Alternate Realities, Demons, Zombies, Superpowers, Tower Climbing, Tower Defense, Wish fulfillment.
