CHAPTER 29: SLOW POKE

Ryan scratched his nape as he watched Alicia's retreating figure, 'she was so damn beautiful' he thought,his thoughts were then suddenly interrupted by his friend George the moment he tugged on his shirt from behind.

"Ryannnn" he exclaimed with eyes wide open leaving Ryan confused for a second.

"What?"

"Don't tell me that's the Alicia girl you've been talking about all week,the girl you said you're crushing on"

Ryan turned towards his friend creasing his brows in pride. " Yeah" he replied and George palmed his forehead hard as his eyes returned back to Alicia's figure which was now far away, he couldn't believe his stupid friend was yet to make a move on her.

"Believe me when I say I've never met any guy as stupid as you are"

"What!!"

"What do you mean by what!,huh, RYAN KEN,did you see that girl,I mean she,that girl could probably pass as the most sexiest and the most beautiful girl in Montgomery right now"

"Yeah I know"

"And you still haven't asked her out you Ginger head" he exclaimed again. " Holy shit"

With George's last statement,Ryan finally understood what he was trying to say and he smiled. " Off course I'll definitely ask her out man, cause I really like her but I just think it's kinda too early,I want us to start off as really close friends you know,to first of all establish a rapport between us so she doesn't misunderstand my inte...."

Ryan was yet to finish his statement when he heard George curse again. " Holy cow,how and when did I get associated with a nerd like you"

"I ain't no nerd idiot,I know what I'm doing"

"No you don't Ryan,you don't, because I don't see why you would see a beautiful fresher like this and still haven't made any move on her,you know her name and she knows your name,what's left huh,all these procedures you're talking about are not necessary,you should have at least let her know that you're interested in her you fool," he hissed "with her being this pretty,trust me when I say she won't last a month before the whole of Montgomery boys start chasing her, including myself ". George almost screamed using his wild gestures.

"I understand man,I just want us to have something in common first before I ask her out, relax" Ryan assured patting his friend's back

"Trust me on this man, another guy is gonna come from nowhere and snatch her away from you, since you're being such a slow poke and then in the end you won't be able to do anything" George hissed

"Pffftttttt, that wouldn't happen man,trust me,that girl's mine" he added looking so sure.

"Don't say I didn't warn you though" he said before he started to walk back towards where Ryan had parked his car.

"We still gotta grab dinner before we head back" Ryan said as he ran after George. " I think it's gonna rain heavily tonight so let's go for some tea first"....

Alicia arrived at the hostel and as soon as she entered her room meeting no one,she went straight to her dirty clothes basket to wash her few dirty clothes and panties before they pilled up and she also now that there was light iron her clothes.

And besides,she didn't know when Jaden was gonna call on her to go out with him again so she just wanted to iron her clothes down,it wouldn't seem nice for her to wear rumpled clothes,she didn't have any class tomorrow and that was why she also wanted to wash them this evening and sun dry them tomorrow morning so she could rest the entire day.

And also, she had to rumage for her best outfits and seclude them for her outings, because she suspected that a guy like Jaden would never dress casually and even his so called most simplest looking clothes would probably worth a lot as only thrice that she'd seen him,he was putting on expensive designer brands and even though Alicia didn't wear designer or branded clothes she still didn't want to look so cheap or too inferior when standing close to him.

Alicia washed her dirty clothes in the bathroom and after rinsing and queezing them,she kept them in a clean bucket.

After that she proceeded to iron her clothes using Tammy's pressing iron and at that point,that was when it started to rain heavily

Alicia hurriedly ironed the dress she was gonna wear tommorow before they took the lights because it was said that during heavy rains like this,they were quick to put off the lights for safety reasons but then,other special hostel lights were left on because of the power plant generating them light,that was one of the beautiful benefits of those expensive hostels.

Well,Alicia had just finished ironing her jean when the lights went off followed by screams from some of the girls in the passage way because of the sudden darkness that covered the entire hostel.

At this point, everywhere was dark and the only thing that could be heard now was the heavy pounding of the rain on the roof top and the frightening sounds of thunder and flashing of lightening.

Alicia switched on her phone touch and quickly moved to lock her window because of the wind blowing the rain inside and just as she finished locking it,the door opened and Sophie and Tammy came in with their dinner.

Alicia had decided to have just bread and tea that evening since that was what she felt like having and that was why she'd asked Sophie to help her with some hot water for the tea, of which Sophie brought.

"Here you go Alicia" Sophie said handling the small flask to her,at this point, Alicia's phone torch was what lit up the room before Tammy moved to switch on a rechargable lamp.

The three again decided to watch a movie as they ate but because it was raining,they were scared to watch anything horror,so they went for action.

Hours later,the three, especially Alicia had become so immersed in the movie that they failed to notice when it stopped raining.

However,the next sound that they heard from outside their window made them all jump in fear,it was a gunshot!!!.

"Was that a gunshot" Sophie asked looking alarmed, however,what she received as an answer was a series of lound gunshots of different kind of guns and the terrified screams of girls outside the hall

It was happening again!!!!!!!
