CHAPTER 10: FULFILLING MEAL

Walking up to Alicia,the girl glanced at Sophie then her eyes went back to Alicia. " Are you the fresher for this room"

"Y-yeah" Alicia replied getting up from her bed

"Hi,I'm Mariam David and you"

"Alicia Lawson"

"Nice to meet you" Mariam said leaning her hands forward for a handshake.

Alicia glanced at her hands and hesitantly shook it.

Her gaze smoldered all over Alicia in a seductive manner as she slowly retracted her hands from the handshake,her eyes zeroed in on Alicia's firm breast as she was now putting on a singlet.

"You're really so pretty my God " she said. " Are your eyes natural or are they contacts"

"T-they are natural" Alicia replied getting uncomfortable with the way Mariam was staring at her right now

"Such pretty eyes you've got" she said dreamily before her hands landed on Alicia's shoulder but Sophie was quick to walk up to them and and yank Mariam's hand away from Alicia's shoulder,she looked angry.

"If you're looking for a number Mariam,I'm sorry but you won't get one" she said firmly before pulling her out of the room.

As soon as they got out, Sophie shut the door before glaring at Mariam's grumpy face. " What the hell is even your problem huh, listen to me Mariam" she warned. " Don't even think about it, cause If you do,I'll be the one to personally skin you alive" she threatened before she hissed and stepped back into the room shutting the door right across Mariam's face but all Mariam did was smile and bite her lips,there was a hint of unrepentance and determination in her eyes.

Back in the room, Sophie and Alicia engaged in a light conversation about their family and background untill the both fell asleep.

It was few minutes past 7:00 in the evening when Alicia woke up,the lights had come on and the fan right above her was whizzing quite fast and cooling her skin,her eyes darted Sophie's bed and she saw that it was empty, perhaps she'd gone for dinner.

Alicia's eyes wandered round the big spacious and lit room before she moved and strolled towards the window by her bed side, opening it,she peeped outside and the sight that beholded her was simply mesmerizing.

They were many students downstairs going in and out of the hostel gates and there were so many lights around, making the university Campus surroundings brightly lit despite it being 7 in the evening.

The lights were so much and bright too that she could see deep down the other side of the huge school,she could also see many students afar off,some going in and out of cafeterias,some walking and holding themselves,others maybe sitting on the green grass under the trees that had so many lights in the,now was there anything more beautiful than this.

The view was so intriguing,so breathtaking that Alicia felt that thrill bubble up in her the moment she realized that this was gonna be her temporary home and she was somewhat entitled to this view every night.

Alicia was never the late night type,she hardly got to see what the outside world was like when it was night because her mom would never even let her go out in the day not to talk of in the night so this was all new for her.

By the time Alicia was done feeding her eyes,she decided it was time to feed her stomach. She walked back to her bed before she brought out the food pack that handsome guy Ryan had gotten for her today, upon opening the bag,she saw that it was a plate of seafood rice,a butter roasted chicken with Grit wafles,one big milkshake and some chips.

Alicia's mouth hung open as she stared at the delicious looking food,she couldn't even imagine how much it cost,it smelt so gooood and she bet it tasted nice. Due to the packaging,the food was still quite warm so she didn't have to worry about heating it up.

Without wasting time, Alicia began to relish on the dish and her guess was right,the food tasted heavenly. Alicia couldn't thank God Enough as she ate,it was just her first day in school and someone already got her lunch and a sumptuous dinner,Alicia began to wonder what and how the other days would be for her qin this school.

As soon as she was done with her satisfying and fulfilling meal, she sat up on her bed, her back leaning on the wall and her two legs folded on the bed as she took out her phone and began to chat with some of her high school friends. She saw that she'd been added to a group called 'Montgomery theatre art students'. Alicia was at first surprised at how they got her number but then she remembered she'd submitted literally all details of her during her clearance era.

Her joy knew no bounds as she quickly opened the group and took her time to read every message,she saw that they all were asked to report at the theatre arts hall the next day as early as 8:00am for introduction as lectures were to commence the next day itself.

Alicia knew tomorrow was gonna be a big day for her and she had to prepare herself. After reading and replying her messages, she placed a video call across to home and she,her mum and her sisters had a nice chat,she also showed them her room and it's beauty, she even went as far as showing them the breathtaking view outside and they all were happy knowing that she was happy being there.

After a while,the call ended and when Alicia looked up at her phone,it was already 10%,she grumbled before she quickly rushed to one of her bags to scramble for her charger before it went off. The phone had been giving her a hell lot of problems lately especially the battery which at times would just jump from 60% down to 20.
