Chapter 1: The Dangelo’s

"Beep! Beep! Beep!" Allie groaned as the noise woke her up abrubtly, it was coming from outside She made her way to the window to see what all the ruckus was about. 'Dang, who's up this early on a Saturday' Allie thought to her self as she saw a moving truck pull into the house right next to hers. "Hey Mom!!" she yelled "Whose moving in?"

"Good morning sweetheart"

"Morning mom, so whose moving in to the new house?" Allie had been so wrapped up in her last few weeks of her sophomore year that she failed to notice that her neighbors of 17 years had moved out and sold their house.

"I'm not sure, we should go introduce ourselves later"

"Ok sure mom, I'm going to go get dressed, I'm going out later" Allie called as she raced up the stairs.

She decided to take another quick peek to see if there was any people her age. To her surprise she saw a guy, he looked about her age, and he was drop dead handsome. Her mouth hung open as she stared at him. He had dark brown hair and he was really muscular. 'He must play football' Allie thought 'He looks really cute I should talk to him soon'

Her heart dropped as she saw girl walk around the truck, she was really pretty. She had a short brown hair cut that not everyone could rock. 'Please, Please don't be his girlfriend' Allie prayed.

Suddenly she realized that she had to get ready because she was meeting her best friend for lunch soon.

"Shoot I gotta hurry up"

Allie arrived at the diner for lunch and Marissa was already there.

"Allie, over here!" Marissa called. Marissa had been Allie's best friend since they were little, they always came to this diner to hang.

"Hey girl wassup how you doing??"

"I'm doing great Marissa how bout you?"

"Eh mom seriously wants me to watch my little brother again like come on mom I have a life" Allie laughed upon hearing this. Her friend was a lighthearted person who never failed to put a smile on anyone's face.

"Sis, I got tea, so my neighbors moved out I guess and there's this new family and there's a boy and he's like super hot" Allie explained

"Did you get his number?" Marissa inquired

"No of course not, I don't even know his name"

Marissa chuckled "Well I guess we now have our summer objective. Get you with Mr. Hottie."

"Sure whatever you say" Allie smiled at her friend's remark

The two girls had finished eating and said their goodbyes.

Allie got into her cherry red car that she absolutely adored and started driving home. She was almost home and she was so lost in thought about so many different things that she had yet to notice the girl on the road. "Shoot!!" Allie swerved and barely missed the girl. She raced out of the car and ran to the girl. She saw it was the same girl she saw earlier

"I am so so so sorry, are you ok?" Allie quickly questioned

"Yeah I'm good." She stuck out her hand to introduce herself "I'm Gigi"

"Allie"

"My family and I just moved into the house right next to yours, I recognize your car."

'Family?' Allie thought 'Wait that must mean they're siblings' She felt so stupid yet releieved at the same time.

"What grade are you in?"

"I'm going to be a junior this year. How about you?" Gigi innocently asked

"Same"

"Can I get your number? We could hang out some time" Gigi handed her phone for Allie to put her number in. "Umm, sure" Allie grabbed the phone and typed her number in. She noticed how many contacts this girl had in her phone.

"So do you have an siblings?" Allie inquired, she didn't want to let Gigi know that she was looking them earlier. She didn't want to scare her away.

"Yeah, I have a twin brother, Carmine"

"Twin? Wow your lucky I don't have any siblings."

"Lucky? Gigi laughed "He's ok he's a pain though. Hey I gotta run I'll text you sometime".

"Ok bye" Allie got back into her car and pulled into her driveway. As she went in the house she noticed the boy, playing basketball his backyard. 'Carmine's his name' Allie laughed 'I like it.' Her mom greeted her when she walked in. "Hey Allie so I invited the Dangelo's over for dinner"

"You did? That's their last name? It's very Italian."

"Yeah they're Italian honey" Her mom laughed "Want to help make dinner?"

"Sure"
