Chapter 1Chu Che

In the Cagnan Continent within Wenji Town, several people were currently surrounding a majestic bed, weeping in sorrow.

~Ooooooooo

"Young Master, please don't fall asleep."

"Young master, please don't succumb to the darkness. If you go now, what are we supposed to do?"

~Ooooooooo

The people wailed pitifully for the youth whose lifespan seemed to be fleeting away.

His pale purplish face was truly a gruesome sight to behold.

Everyone silently prayed in their hearts for his quick recovery.

They had fed him the Eltar True Pill, which was said to possess the ability to bring one back from the gates of the dead, providing they still hadn't taken their last breath yet.

And now, they could only wait and hope that it worked.

Soon, the youth's purplish complexion gradually changed to normal, and the near-dead figure on the bed trembled his eyelids painfully.

"It worked!

The young master is awake.

The heavens are merciful.

The Che Family will live!" Exclaimed a very sturdy man who trembled happily.

Hearing that, many quickly celebrated loudly.

But amidst the crowd, some looked at the entire situation in confusion before slipping away.

Why was he still alive after they gave him a fake pill?

The poison in the pill alone should've killed him.

So why was he still alive?

.

Ming Rong furrowed his brows and struggled to open his eyes.

But he soon found that he had no strength to do so.

Weird.

Didn't he just close his eyes a minute ago?

So why was he hearing the sounds of people crying and wailing beside him?

Was he dead?

'Yes host, you're dead.'

'_'

'Host, are you shocked?

You died from burglars.

They snuck in and used a bat to knock you dead.

Even though you were already asleep, they wanted to make sure that you didn't wake up.'

'_'

'Host, say something!'

'You're too, Noisy.'

'^'

'You say that you're a system, right?'

'Yes, host.

I'm the Heavenly A.G.F Entertainment System.

Host, the A.G.F stands for Anime, Gaming and Fantasy.

The host is currently in a fantasy world where people cultivate and can live for thousands of years.

The system is now bound to the host.

So the host's primary goal is to create the most powerful entertainment park of all time.'

'Hmmm... Alright!'

'Wait?

Host, you're agreeing just like that?'

'Otherwise...'

'Ahhh.... thank you, host!

You are the best.'

'Hmm.

Now be quiet and let me think.'

'_'

.

Ming Rong accepted the system immediately because he knew that at the end of the day, it was always best to have some cheats when in a new environment.

Plus, if he wasn't sent directly to the reincarnation cycle, that meant that he had something wrong with him... probably his soul.

So maybe using the system was the only way to fix his situation.

That said, rather than spending time going back and forth with the system; it was best for him to just face reality.

He had already died, and there was nothing he could do about it.

The system looked at Ming Rong and felt helpless.

Even though his host was a genius gamer back on earth, his E.Q was just too terrible.

95% of the time, his host didn't even understand that his words were painful.

If he hadn't processed and understood his host, he might've thought that the host didn't like him.

Sigh...

He only felt terrible for the people who would boil and roast because of his host.

Oh well!

The system quickly became happy again.

He finally had a host.

As for Ming Rong, he was slowly digesting the original owner's memories.

The original owner's name was Chu Che, and he was 16 years old this year.

.

The original owner grew up in a loving home with his father, mother and grandfather... as well as all those within his estate.

They were currently in Wenji town.

And even though it was relatively small when compared to other towns and bigger cities... it was still a booming place.

His grandfather had been the town lord, who then gave the position to his father.

But during his father's 2nd year as town lord, his father saved his mother, and they both fell in love.

All these years, he had lived in complete bliss in their love until 4 years ago when his mother's family found her and dragged her away.

And his father left him in the care of his grandfather and scurried away in hopes of saving his mother too.

From what he knew, his mother came from a mysterious family in the upper realm.

So his father had no hopes at all.

But as fate would have it, one day, he met one of the men who kidnapped her by coincidence in another faraway city.

His mother had been disobedient since she returned to her family.

Looking at his father, the man decided to hold him hostage and threaten his mother in doing as she was told.

So both of his parents were now in the upper realm.

As for his grandfather, the poor guy received a severe injury when his mother was taken.

And just last year, he died.

That said, the young Chu Che took up the mantle as town lord.

But how could the bandits and all those outside the town be content?

For them, this was an opportunity to rule the entire town.

But they knew that if they killed Chu Che upfront, then Chu Che's uncle, a fierce General in one of the neighbouring cities, would have their heads.

That's why they decided to find a grade 3 alchemist to poison the bastard to death.

Their scheme was what killed the original owner.

Chu Che sighed as he listened to the people who were now celebrating amidst their teary eyes.

Maybe it was the body's residual feelings, but he felt very warm inside for the first time in his life.

.

Back on earth, he lost his mother at childbirth and then lost his father at the age of 4.

Following that, he tossed around from one foster home to another until he became wealthy from playing video games.

So he never received so much love like the original owner.

He felt these people's lives and worries and decided to treat them well.

That said since he took over this body, then he would have to bring his parents back when he got stronger.

That's right, the original body's feelings were too strong, and he felt that he should treat them well too.

Now, he was no longer Ming Rong but Chu Che.

Tomorrow, he'll find out more about this strange entertainment system.

But for now, he was sleepy.

The system looked at him speechlessly.

What sort of host doesn't even want to know the system's functions?

['~Ooooooooooo!

Host, you're a big bully.

Two millennia ago, a young boy named Emery met a tragic fate. In his final moments, he was transmigrated and accepted into the Universe's most prestigious school of magic. “You are among the chosen few from thousands of human worlds. Whether you seize this opportunity or not, is up to you. You are at Magus Academy, the pinnacle of humanity's ingenuity. Only one in tens of thousands of acolytes possess this!" Thus began Emery’s journey together with his 4 friends from the furthest corner of Earth. Each year they returned to Earth to grow, seek revenge, save the princess, conquer the world, and become Earth's Greatest Magus. Their names are still etched in our history books to this day. Authors Note: I have always been fascinated by writing fantasy relating to historical facts. In this story, you will find characters inspired by real-world myth and legend. The universe I created hopefully will make the reader's imagination excited and logically plausible. I hope you enjoy it. ### Here are some key aspects you'll encounter: MC: The protagonist follows the classic weak-to-strong arc. World: Picture a blend of Harry Potter and Star Wars. System: While it's primarily a magic-based story, there's a structured system in place that's easy to follow. Additionally, elements of cultivation. Harem: No, there are several female interests. But I enjoy romance first. So even if there will be more than one love interest it will be deep. Note: English is not my first language, but you'll notice that my writing and English skills gradually improve throughout the chapters. Other: The novel delves into deep research on science and history, enriching the storyline with factual and intriguing details. Give it a read—you might be pleasantly surprised by what unfolds. I want to start off by saying I love the concept. Some of my favorite novels on this site are stories that bring pop culture to another world like the Black Tech Internet Cafe System or Bringing Culture to Another World. Also, I loved some of the pop culture choices that the author chose to utilize. I am a huge fan of One Piece and you never see western cartoons like the Jetsons referenced. However, while I loved the concept of the story, I felt like execution of the story could have been greatly improved. It felt like the author was just rushing to add as much stuff/new features in the park as possible in an effort to keep the audience's attention rather than properly exploring any one feature with any depth. Take the Rosie Robots as an example. They were first added in the very beginning of the story when the park is first created. I thought they would be a great comedic character. Not only would they have a funny way to handle troublemakers, they were described as being sassy like the original which made me look forward to other funny interactions between the Rosies and the other characters. However, Rosie was never properly developed. Rosie never took any actions or even spoke until chapter 89 when she finally handled her first troublemakers. And after those troublemakers were handled, she has not done anything since. Furthermore, we have never seen her act sassy like her original counterpart. You could have replaced rosey with a generic robot/puppet and had the same result. You had the potential for a great character completely go to waste because you did not explore it. Some features I still don't fully get like the mission center. Can independent people post missions or are they all connected/posted by the park? What does the park even do with the items collected for missions like the fire Chu Che collected in the demonstration mission? Besides cleaning, what other missions are available to the general townsfolk (after all with the installation of self cleaning roads some of the cleaning jobs would have been eliminated)? The simulation pavilion is a similar as I don't really get how that is different from the virtual reality video games or what are the options for that feature since you are only now exploring the Snakes and Ladders option despite mentioning it many chapters ago. These are all things that I could have learned fairly early on, but because the author did not spend tons of time to explore the concept, I still don't fully get these features. In all honesty, I feel like if the author simply used a quarter of the features he had in the story and focused on exploring on each feature in greater depth from various different perspectives, the story would have been more well rounded and engaging. Take One Piece for example, all we saw was that people thought the first episode was interesting. However, readers don't read this kind of story to just see characters mindlessly say a list of pop culture items are cool. Instead, they want to see how pop culture is viewed from vastly different perspectives and how they would affect/impact different environments. When you introduced One Piece, all everyone says is that the first episode is interesting and that everyone calls Luffy, Senior Luffy. However, would everyone call him that? After all, Luffy is a young, dumb, lighthearted teen? Would serious people fixated on decorum and who are hundreds of years old really call him Senior? Plus for the honorable sects, what would they feel about rooting for a pirate? Would they feel like it is dishonorable, would they not care since cultivators rob people as well for cultivation resources (which is a problem in of itself/something to explore), or do they learn to recognize people more for their actions rather than their labels through this story? What new moves can people who have similar yet still distinctly different fighting styles create (ex. swordfighters who don't want to use three swords or martial artists who don't have luffy's stretchiness)? What do the people think about seeing a story happen on the ocean? Is there an ocean in the lower realm? Have many people in that region seen the ocean (especially more local individuals that have not travelled far)? Are people now inspired to sail? Can the design of the sailing ships serve as inspiration and are easier to copy than modern technology? Having an entire arc focused on multiple One Piece episodes and from various perspectives would allow the audience to learn a lot more about the world in general. I also have questions about X-Men. Why were the audience able to sense qi from the characters and learn their special abilities? After all, the X-Men did not really learn their skills, they were born with them. They are genetic mutations, closer to inborn natural features like a hair color or an extra hand rather than skills naturally learned. As such, how were they able to mimic them? If the X-Men and other superheroes like the Hulk (which is always attributed to radiation) have Qi, it begs the question, what even is Qi? And no one found it strange that Iron Man was so strong even without any Qi or did they somehow think the electricity/power source of the suits were the same thing as Qi? Also, to me, it would have been cooler for characters to put in effort towards learning skills instead of automatically being granted skills by simply reading. Even if it is just adapting the skills they already had in new ways (ex. the sword control skill could be expanded to Magneto's metal control) to mimic the skills of characters and work for those skills instead of being handed on a silver platter. These are all things you can explore. The point is not to just say different features or properties are cool. If that was all readers wanted than they would read a list rather than a novel. The point is to use those pop culture properties to explore various characters, see different ways they can influence people, and the world in general. You have plenty of stuff already in the novel which deserves more exploration. Don't feel like you need to add something new every three chapters. Also, be more careful with the spelling. It seems like every chapter there is at least one word that rhymes with the word you actually meant. When you write the word "shower" instead of "cower" you know things are bad. If the author takes their time more, I feel like the story would be a lot better.
