A one night stand: the first night of many Poppy is heartbroken after catching her ex-boyfriend cheating on her. She decides to go to a club with her friends to try and forget him. There, she meets MJ, a charming and attractive man. They start a conversation and discover that they have something in common: they are both going through a breakup. Poppy is excited to start her new job as an assistant at RJ&E company, a prestigious firm that specializes in marketing and interior design. He treats her coldly and professionally, making her wonder if he regrets their night together. Love seems to be blooming, until one day when MJ changes suddenly towards Poppy. He says hurtful things to her, but she can't figure out why he's being like that. Despite it all, she gets heartbroken once more and decides to stop loving once and for all.
Poppy is hurt and outraged by MJ’s reaction. She decides to leave him and the country for good and vows never to see or speak to MJ again.
MJ realizes too late that he made a terrible mistake by letting Poppy go. He loves her more than anything in the world and he wants to be with her, but he knows there was a valid reason for breaking her like that, and he only did that to protect her.
