True love only exists in books

The car fell into huge silence.

Mia blinked twice as she gulped. 'Shit.. I f up' she cursed in her mind. The words just came out from her mouth, she should have careful with her words. Now she exposed herself obviously. Ofc, Mia Grace had loved George Seith once.

So Mia Grace knew what love felt like. However Mia Clark was the total opposite. She never knew what love felt like. She did not want to know too, love sucked. The love was a joke for Mia Clark. She never believed in love, she never believed in wishes.

Lorcan narrowed his eyes in suspicion as his brows were pulled together in confusion. Did the young woman just say she had never loved anyone? But that was impossible. Everyone knew about Mia Grace loving George Seith like a fool.

Everyone knew about Mia Grace chasing George Seith like a dog. Everyone knew the fact about how much Mia Grace loved George Seith. The new about Mia Grace eating shrimps just to get George Seith's attention was famous in the town.

Then why did the young woman answer like that? Did she never love George Seith? Were her feelings for George Seith just for fun? Did her heart just flutter for a moment and call it love? Wasn't she the one who did not even care about her parents just because of a man?

Mia squeezed her eyes in annoyance. "Umm, to be honest I don't understand my feelings as well. I think I just had a little crush on George Seith for awhile. That's why I want to know how love feels like" Mia quickly covered the mess smoothly.

Lorcan did not respond.

His eyes were on the young woman through the rear-view mirror. There was an awkward smile on her face, lying like a white bunny. "Is that so? Then I apologize. I can't explain how love feels like" the man's reply made Mia swallowed.

Did he find out? Did he believe her words? Did he notice her lies? Why did he reply like that? Why was he avoiding to answer her question? What could she do? It was her fault for asking him, she should have shut her mouth and read the book.

Maybe she could know what love felt like by reading the book. "It is ok. I won't disturb you anymore, drive carefully" Mia leaned back on the car headboard and sipped the iced americano with a stone face. Her eyes were on the book which she just bought.

"Yes" Lorcan replied. He did want to tell the young woman how love felt like, what if the young woman misunderstood something? He wanted the young woman to find out by herself. Because it made people fell for someone more deeper.

The two did not utter any words. "We have arrived" Lorcan's voice brought Mia back from spacing out. The young woman looked up at the outside of the car window and turned out she was at her parents villa. She quickly went out of the car.

"Welcome back, Miss Mia"

Maki's granddaughter saw her Miss coming back from the book shop. She greeted with a grin as she ran towards the young woman. Mia replied with a usual smile, Maki's granddaughter grabbed the bag of books from Mia and walked into the villa together with the young woman.

Lorcan followed them with his usual cold face, he went into the kitchen to drink some water while Mia and Maki's granddaughter walked up to the second floor. They two were directing to the young woman's room.

"Prepare some strawberries for me" Mia spoke as she stepped into her room after placing the books on the table. "Yes, Miss" Maki's granddaughter said with a smile and walked out of the room. As the door closed, Mia let out a loud sigh.

She was sure that Lorcan was starting to suspect of her. It was obvious. This was not the first time she had said something impossible. She had been asking him if he believed in reborn things or not, she had told him about how she envied him for having a caring mother.

She had to be careful from now on. She would not let others find out about her true self. She did not want to get abandoned. What if her parents hated her for faking her identity? What if her friend left her for faking as Mia Grace? The more she thought, the more she got scared.

"Damn it.." she sat down on the couch with a tightened frown, not thinking about that anymore. Her hands reached to the bag and put out a book about a girl who got transmigrated into a novel fell in love with a male lead.

It was the first time she took an interest in transmigration and reincarnation novels. She did not read those books before because it was nonsense. She did not believe in those things such as reborn. But who would have thought it was possible?

"Miss, strawberries are ready"

Maki's granddaughter's voice made Mia snapped back from train of thoughts. "Come in!" she called the girl to come in. The door slowly opened, the sight of a plate full of strawberries made Mia's lips formed into a smile.

"Thanks!" she thanked the girl as the girl replied with a grin. "Please enjoy your time" the girl spoke and left the room quietly. Mia took a bite of a strawberry joyfully. Her eyes sparkled in satisfaction. "The strawberries are the best"

She nodded and agreed to her own words. "Let's read!" she started reading the book without changing clothes. Her eyes simply could not take off from the book because it was too good. She did not even put down the book from her hands.

Two hours quickly passed, Mia did not even realize the time. She just continued reading the book in silence. Her room was in huge silence, could even heard the young woman's breathing sounds. But it was peaceful for her.

"Miss Mia, it is time for dinner"

Maki reminded from the outside of the room. "I understand! I will come down in ten minutes!" Mia spoke as her eyes did not leave from the book. "It is basically heart beating thing" the young woman murmured and stood up from the couch.

She placed the book on the table and started changing into the comfy set. After reading the book for more than two hours, she realized that the characters hearts fluttered when they saw their crushes. It was simple for her to understand.

If her heart fluttered just by seeing someone, that meant she found him or her really attractive. They called it liking someone, just a crush, nothing more. But if you wanted someone to be happy, that meant you fell for him or her.

It was like you were willing to do everything just to see them smiling beautifully. It did not matter if they did not like you back, you still wanted to see them smile. "What is the point of falling in love when those feelings could disappear in next second?"

Mia said to herself. She did not understand how people could marry someone for the rest of their lives. Feelings were like leaves, you would find yourself falling for someone but when you realized the reality, those feelings were no longer the same.

It was like the leaf falling onto the ground slowly, but because of the strong wind, it got swayed to somewhere else. That was how people easily changed and found a new lover as if nothing happened. The feelings were not loyal.

True love only existed in books.

That was what Mia believed, that was how Mia thought about feelings aka love. She simply disliked the love or maybe she hated the love. "I am hungry" Mia sighed and stepped out of the room while rubbing her stomach.

"Good evening, Miss" the maids greeted with smiles on their faces. "Good evening" Mia replied with a usual smile, her steps were directing to the dining room. Her parents could not have a dinner together with her everyday.

Both of them were busy with their works, they could only have a breakfast with Mia only. Sometimes, they could not even come back home. Mia had to live in the villa, wasting her time on reading, using phone and watching TV only.

Mia sat down at the seat with a stone face, feeling a bit lonely. She had been alone for years but this was the first time she wanted someone by her side, speaking with her and eating the dinner happily. It was lonely for her to eat by herself everyday.

"Today dinner is baked salmon with grapefruit salad and apple juice" Maki explained about the dinner as she looked down at the young woman who was listening to her with a stone face. But it looked like the young woman was spacing out.

"Enjoy your meal, Miss"

Maki spoke and stepped back, standing behind the young woman. "Thanks for the dinner" Mia said as she started eating quietly. The dinner was delicious and yet it was lonely for Mia to eat it. It would be great if there was someone who would enjoy the meal with her.

Maki and maids never ate with her together. Mia had begged them to eat with her before however they all refused to eat together with her. They said they did not dare to eat together with their Miss. Mia gave up after trying for six times.

The young woman finished the dinner quickly. "Thanks for this amazing dinner" Mia stood up from the seat and thanked the chef and maids. She walked up to her room and stepped into the room. She sat down on the couch again. "I am so bored!"

She shouted and sighed loudly. She wanted to work if it was possible. But her parents would not let her work, they treated her like a feather who could not be touched by someone. "I have to work or else I will die with the boredom"

Mia spoke and went to the balcony with heavy steps, thinking what should she work. The time was around 8pm. The stars were shining brightly along with the moon in the darkness. Mia stared at the moon with a smile.

"I want to meet Henry. If you can hear me, please fulfill my wish, mister moon!" a loud sigh escaped the young woman's lips, thinking about her memories with Henry and her friend. Her lips formed into a small smile.

She knew it.

She knew that it was impossible. Her wish could never become true, but there was a hope inside deep down her heart. Silently wishing for her wish to become true. Maybe it could become real, maybe the moon could fulfill her wish.

"I am so stupid" Mia murmured, giving up on increasing her hopes in impossible things. Those maybe thoughts were the ones which were making the young woman could not help but hoped her wishes to become true. "I should finish the book"

About believing the feelings aka love as leaves is actually how I see the love. I wrote it in my view to be honest. Because I really don't believe in love and wishes. But this is my opinion. Just saying. Thank you, have a nice day
