Venting an Old Wounds

"No, have you forgotten that the great master Jack is in control of us all? Ahh, what a waste of time. If no one dares, I'll let him go myself," replied the bodyguard who had a scar on his cheek. He walked confidently towards Zay.

The other bodyguards just watched, no one prevented or commented anymore. Moreover, Roderick's condition was not getting any better so they could not make any more choices.

"Damn, they're all cowards. What's there to be afraid of with someone like him? It seems like he's just got big muscles, I'm sure he can't fight," grumbled the bodyguard who had a scar on his cheek as he walked two steps away from Zay's place.

While Zay was still looking down, she was silent without any movement. The bodyguard had already grabbed Zay's hand, he managed to release her left hand. When he let go of the right hand, he was still grumbling in annoyance, "You are very lucky not to be beaten to death by Mr. Roderick. What drama are you planning? Look at Mr. Roderick still in that state."

"Damn it, why is this binding so hard to open?" grumbled the bodyguard who was struggling with the jammed chain lock.

"What are you doing!" snapped Roderick with a face full of tears, he stood up from his previous kneeling position. He realized that Zay would be released and was not willing to be separated from Zay.

The lock was already open when the bodyguard's attention turned to Roderick, he was so shocked it was silent for a few seconds. The bodyguard didn't realize that Zay had raised a hand and lashed out with a fist to his cheek.

"Arggh, damn it! Quickly protect Lord Roderick!" The bodyguard was thrown to the side without being able to dodge, but he was still able to shout for help to the other bodyguards.

"You're doomed!" cursed the free Zay who immediately ran faster than the bodyguards, she who was close managed to lunge at Roderick. She grabbed Roderick by the collar until they were face to face. Her fiery eyes met Roderick's regretful ones.

"Look carefully with your eyes! You're going to die at the hands of this haughty girl!" Zay shouted, pushing Roderick's body to the ground that was mixed with dirty water. She sat on Roderick's stomach as she showered him with punches.

"Stop it!" shouted the overwhelmed driver holding Zay's hand, he was thrown back.

The other guards ran over and grabbed Zay's legs and arms and pulled him away from Roderick's body. Roderick's face was almost unrecognizable as blood from his mouth and nose flowed profusely covering half of his face.

"Hiaaah, let go of me!" Zay rebelled with endless stamina. Her hair was loose, several buttons were undone and even her pants were torn which she didn't care about. Zay was venting the anger she had stored up all those years ago.

"Damn, he's so strong," complained the short-haired bodyguard was surprised, Zay's abilities had not diminished despite the series of attacks he had received from yesterday's full day until late this morning.

"I said, let go!" shouted Zay, kicking the cropped-haired bodyguard who was walking from the front to restrain her.

"Aughhh, that hurts," the cropped-haired bodyguard complained. He was unable to stand up again, falling to the ground in a semi-circular position.

Zay was still struggling on her own to escape, she kept being confronted with many bodyguards attacking simultaneously. Zay continued to maximize her strength while shouting angrily, "Hiahh, you're all cowards!"

In the midst of the commotion, a door was forcefully kicked in, the door swung open and revealed a dazzling spotlight.

"What the hell is this?"

"Which fool broke the door to this secret room?"

Comments from some of the bodyguards who were having trouble looking at the door. They grumbled and one of them shouted, "Fools, turn off your car engine!"

Zay herselg was still looking away, she could feel that the bodyguards' grip was loosening. Zay quickly jerked the grip and ran to keep a safe distance so she could attack them one by one.

"Damn it, he's running. Don't let him get away!" exclaimed the bodyguard chasing Zay towards to the door.

As Zay turned around, she was met with a leg kick attack from a scarred bodyguard. She dodged to the left quickly, then took a step forward while the bodyguard's foot was still in the air past her body. Now it was Zay's turn to hit the bodyguard's cheek very hard. Suddenly the scarred bodyguard fell to the right without being able to dodge, toppling over with a groan that sounded extremely painful.

"Here, all of you attack me! I won't miss this opportunity, all of you must faint!" shouted Zay who had already set up a stance, she raised both hands in an attack position while protecting her body.

The bodyguards who were running after Zay suddenly stopped in unison, they turned to the bodyguard who had a faint scar after being hit by Zay. They lost their nerve and hesitated to strike back.

The sound of a horn echoed right behind Zay, having stopped to be replaced by the voice of someone shouting, "No one attacks that burly woman! This is a direct order from uncle Jack!"

Zay glanced to the side as she hissed and muttered, "I think I recognize this voice."

And sure enough, no sooner had Zay closed her mouth than that distinctive voice called his name, "Zay, it's Vern. Get on my motorcycle!"

"Mr. Vern. Ohh, it's that stupid rider is him," muttered the long-haired bodyguard who lowered his hand and took a relaxed position.

Not with Zay, she was still in an attacking position, unmoved by Vern's call. That made Vern drive the motorcycle and stop beside Mazaya, he shouted against the roar of the motorcycle engine, "Zay, you're safe. Leave this place with me!"

Zay turned to Vern with a relieved smile, arguably quite happy to see Vern's arrival. She faced forward while muttering, "Thank goodness my words of encouragement worked well."

"What are you thinking about? Come on, up!" Vern called out again from the top of the bike. He waved a hand at Zay, asking him to hurry up and take action.

"Give me 30 seconds!" replied Zay as she ran towards the crowd of bodyguards.

"Hiaaah, take this attack of mine, asshole!" Zay exclaimed, not caring about the shocked and frightened faces of the bodyguards in front of her.

The first punch hit the nose of the long-haired bodyguard and drew blood. Then, her kick hit the back of the driver's head and he fell to the ground. Two-handed fists, right and left fists, kicks to the ankles that knocked opponents down and many more of Zay's powerful attacks, instantly made all the bodyguards fall to the ground.

"Hah, finally hah ... hah finished hah. I'm so tired," Zay said out of breath. She swallowed saliva to wet his throat, opening her mouth so that oxygen could fill her lungs immediately.

"Already, there's no more time. Now!" Vern pleaded again. He gaped at all the bodyguards groaning in pain and none of them managed to get up after Zay's attack.

Zay nodded, she ran over to Vern and took the back seat of the motorcycle. Vern also turned around, he stepped on the gas and headed for the exit, leaving the vicious story in the humid place.

"Thank you!" exclaimed Vern with a big smile. He focused on the road ahead that led out of the horse feed lot.

"Thanks for what? You're not crazy, are you?" Zay shouted with her forehead wrinkled. She who had been enjoying the fresh breeze sweeping across her face looked confused.
